I guess...there's a reason why tobacco was treasured by the Native Americans (and others) in their ceremonies...but they also didn't abuse it. Tobacco's power is said to weaken the more you do it...like you get too used to it and it becomes less sacred. Then besides being useless for spiritual purposes, it creates addiction...and destroys your health and takes your life. There is so much scientific literature on how bad cigarettes are for you.

I've read about how the 13th Dalai Lama was close to Hitler....looking it up just now I can't seem to find much reliable info. Just that he personally translated Mein Kampf. Seems that the Nazis felt the pre-Tibetan culture had something to do with their "Aryans". Perhaps from the beginning of their movement...illustrated by the use of swastikas. They were weird. -

That is something which bothers me, as well. Charging money to simply exist in that which is ours by birthright. But if you play the system, put down the money, you can buy your own land. Then you just pay yearly taxes, which sometimes, can be very cheap. Get some land that borders a national forest (at least in the USA), and you are in hermit paradise. -
Nei gong induced psychosis! Please help.

"Storing energy in the lower dantien" has a counterintuitive effect of kicking up more energy which rises into the head and causes or prolongs problems such as auditory hallucination. The lower dantien is actually a place where, when you put your attention there, it causes the energy to RISE up the back and also up the central channel. It is where the fire element is located, and you are adding wind (your energy) to it, which increases the flame (and problems with energy getting stuck in the head). Another reason why I think it's a bad idea...doing anything intentionally with your energy and mind causes a rising of energy and an over-stimulation of the upper dantien. Locating energy in the body (spatial awareness) is an activity of the upper dantien, so it's already being overstimulated...totally a counterintuitive effect when you believe you're actually moving energy out of the head. But this is how things work IME. The head is simply overstimulated, and it's best to just stop practicing things that make it worse. If you "do nothing" and just kind of "let go" or be calm, then the upper dantien is not stimulated and it causes energy to sink naturally. Being distracted away from the sensations of the body and the movements of the mind actually helps with this...so it's good to be engaged with things in your real life, rather than having attention absorbed by intrusive thoughts, feelings, or sensations. Pay attention to nature, rather than to your energy. The best kind of energy work happens when you let go and let the body do its own thing. In my view, it's best to not be moving or storing energy at all when you're experiencing qigong psychosis...the body heals itself and puts energy in the right places for optimal balance, if you let it (by not practicing). By being calm and not trying to alter your nervous system. Just let it be...at least until you're fully normal again for at least a few months. After that point, you can practice whatever you like and hopefully not experience qigong psychosis again. Something else that can be okay is whole body self-massage. That can help redistribute energy out of the head, and through the limbs (which is important for healing qigong psychosis). There's also a thread here called Beginners Cultivation Tips (or something to that effect) by forum member thetaoiseasy. That has some good ideas for helping with this as well. -

No problem. -
Of course, but you missed my point entirely.

Thanks de paradise...for some reason, I had never considered the plural aspect. Considering everyone as equal with ourselves in the prayer, and wishing well for all...those are some good heart opening methods. To actualize such contemplations by our own effort in the real world...that's another way of performing the prayer...

I don't discuss religion. Sorry no offense and nothing personal. Just wanted to blurt that idea out there.

In my view, anyone who uses the term Abrahamic has missed the mark. Anyone.

Sometimes "evil" is just a righteous response to the negative aspects of the "good". An attempt to bring some positive change...and change is "good"! I think you're right, it can also be sort of like a cry for help. And how should those who are good respond to evil, then?

I don't have much experience with this...but make sure to program the being so it does only one thing that you want, and then dissolves back into you automatically. You don't want this thing having a mind of its own...it's hard enough to control one's own mind. Just some good advice I once heard about this kind of technique.

If you want more time in your day, there are easier ways... Make a list of what you can do for today. Don't include long term goals, only the short term goals that will help you accomplish the long term ones. Do the hardest/most important things first...mark them off the list. Pretty soon you don't have a list at all, and there is your time. There will be an abundance of it most days.
