Why must a man give up, "why man must give up Food and Sex in order to Evolve" in order to Evolve? -
I watch horse stance while making movies.

If you could pick 3 books to take with you...

I wasn't attacking you or screwing with you at all.

"Do NO harm" is pretty damn clear. Enough of that, though...I can see when someone is incapable of listening or changing.

You're doing it wrong.

Actually, Texas has it totally wrong with those shocking prison sentences. Anyway, the point was more about your personal ethics than about the dog issue at all. Advocating imprisoning people for a long time, for pretty much any reason, is not in line with the quote that you have said you live by. Playing judge and punisher, besides being very harmful to others (especially with the careless attitude which you've displayed)...is also very harmful to yourself. A person who says, "they should get 20 years" without any consideration, as you just did...should be the one that has to make that decision about the real person's life. Things change then! Hopefully... The judge should also have to go through the full punishment themselves, in order to fully understand the decision they are making for that real person's life. Then things would really change, I'm sure...as long as it wasn't a psychopath. Then there'd be an experience of real compassion...real knowledge of suffering and harm, as well as the wish to alleviate it for others. Things aren't exactly as they should be, though...which is a very good thing for those of us lucky enough to still live in freedom.

It would be doing great harm to send someone to jail for a long time if their dog killed someone. What if the dog never acted out in any way previously, and wasn't a vicious breed (this can happen)...also what if the dog was in its own yard, and the person who got bit was a trespasser? There's a big difference between someone who is consciously trying to kill others with their dog (rare), and someone who has no idea that their dog is dangerous (VERY common). Both should get 20 years in prison? I have to disagree. Regardless of the differences between those examples...if your personal rule for living is to 'do no harm', then do you really think that locking someone up for 20 years isn't harming them? Have you ever been imprisoned or experienced something similar? Are you able to walk outside right now and feel the breeze...are you able to wear pretty much whatever clothes you want...are you able to go to a grocery store and choose what you eat...are you able to travel (if you save up your money)...to listen to music that you like...to connect through the internet? That is a lot of freedom which is taken for granted. Imagine not being allowed to leave a room. Not being able to breathe fresh air. Being forced to wear a uniform. Being given crappy food with no options which barely keeps you alive. Being stuck in one place for years at a time, not being able to see this world and live this life. Having no music to listen to. Having no real connection with anyone. That is a lot of harm to wish upon someone else.

The healing codes- Praying for healing memories for the goal you want.
Aetherous replied to skydog's topic in General Discussion
The book is on kindle, and can be returned within 10 days if you decide you don't want it. I skimmed it a little...it consists of holding your hands around 4 various areas of the head and neck, uncovering memories and rating them on a scale of 10...maybe waiting for the feelings to pass or something. Of course there is a lot to the method, and would require a good reading of the entire book to understand it well. Seems similar to EFT in how it works, but it's a different methodology. Thoughts and "seeds" (like intention + feeling) are super powerful and greatly affect the flow of energy in the body. This healing code type of method is similar to unearthing some planted seeds that you don't want to cultivate, and replacing them with ones that you do. Planting good seeds will create good thoughts, which will create good winds or flows of energy in the body, and that will improve the quality of the breath, and will finally improve the physical body's healing. So your hand shaking is a good sign of healing...the hand positions that the method uses are also pretty good for transformation, so that may have something to do with it as well. -
I have one (unweighted F4 fork) from that company. Good quality...it's pretty quiet though. I can only hear it within like one foot of my ears. I don't know if the weighted ones produce more sound...but they are supposed to produce more vibration down the handle. If you are wanting to use it by pressing the fork against the body, that's probably the better choice. The unweighted does seem to work very well for 'soundpuncture' by holding the forked end near a point.

Okay, now I'm interested. Why not?

Expressing anger/setting boundaries..feeling pride versus sucking it up showing love all the time
Aetherous replied to skydog's topic in General Discussion
About therion's post...hopefully those that hurt others with energy are able to avoid harming themselves in the process! As they say, Combined with neigong, the self-destruction is amplified! But no judgment here. (don't hurt me! ) It is a very good point that you just wind up in trouble if you get into a physical fight. Best to avoid at all cost. Be smart. Edit: Hmmmmmm, his post appears to have vanished! -
There are definitely effects in the head from overtone singing. With the physical chakras it is supposed to be based off of "middle C" (C4). I don't know if this is a rule, just the way I've seen it described... The timbre of a guitar versus a sax, or a piano versus the voice, are definitely different but the frequency based off of C4 should physically vibrate the intended area regardless. I like Harmonious Emptiness' point about vibrato being helpful for activating the specific frequency.

You can also bore your "enemies" to death...probably easiest way to make them vanish. -

Being a doormat for others (like allowing them to spit in front of you) is not being at peace. Just like in a real war, we can only get peace by ensuring that our enemies aren't going to attack us. Being defenseless is not peace...that is asking and waiting for self destruction. Take care of all issues between people in your life, then you have peace. There are too many people (even supposedly spiritual people) in this world who will judge you for losing your cool. I am not one of them. So do what is natural... spit back. -
When going within, like meditators of various types do, parts of the brain that should remain inactive can become turned on. Auditory hallucinations are definitely a sign of something being abnormal. Try not practicing whatever you are currently and see if it goes away. Stop focusing on the phenomenon...don't listen to white noise, listen to music. If you are getting less than 8 hours of sleep at night, sleep longer. Try to decrease your stress in daily life. (The above suggestions are just from someone who knows nothing. What other people said about not listening to anyone at this forum, and immediately going to see a psychiatrist is probably better advice.) If it continues, talk to a psychiatrist. As well versed as you are in mental health disorders, you aren't qualified to self-diagnose. ...

It's interesting that lower dantien area is called 'the sea of qi' (the acupuncture point in the area is also called this). There isn't necessarily a connection between Chinese and Indian traditions on that point...just interesting. In nada yoga, I recall it's said that the inner sounds you hear are shakti itself. The lower dantien is where the equivalent of kundalini is cultivated in Taoism, according to some. Yes, there are Indian practices which utilize om at the navel (navi kriya for instance). I can't comment on it any more than that, than to say it's probably important to have a teacher with this stuff.

A hard "A" sound...like in the word "say" tends to open the 6th/third eye. An "eee" sound like in "meet" corresponds to the 7th/crown. Chakra Frequencies: Tantra of Sound by Jonathan Goldman contains this and a lot of other interesting info. Edit: An easy way that I remember the chakra frequencies is just that the heart chakra frequency is "F above middle C" (F4 or 349.23 hz), and corresponds to "fa".

Only dishonorable ones! Rawr!

I think that's the frequency which corresponds to the crown chakra.

I've seen this opinion on the forum a few times now. Having read most of the books, I tend to disagree that it was made up. Also having briefly google searched similar teachers (I think I typed in "nagual"), it seems they teach the same kind of things and didn't learn from Castaneda. It would be interesting to see a link to a genuine yaqui "shaman", or to know what they're all about...or maybe they haven't been captured in our web yet.

"He isn't enlightened because he says he is enlightened." I see...I didn't know that was a rule.
