goldisheavy, I'm trying to stay away from here... I said take non-apprentices with a grain of salt...or better yet...don't believe anything they say! That includes me. Apprentices are fine to learn with. It is essential for the serious student to learn from the certified people for numerous reasons. It's acceptable to take EVERYONE's teachings or ideas with a grain of salt. I do that. But when it comes to these practices, Max is basically an expert, and the people he has taught and who remain certified over the years are the only ones worth listening to. Not at all. Critical thinking is very much encouraged, as is being true to yourself and whatever inclinations you have (at least this is my understanding of the Kunlun path).

Said in good fun and with no disrespect. I see many major differences between the two versions that lead to entirely different results...similar in some ways maybe, but not at all the same. As has been said, those interested in this stuff should only learn from a certified apprentice/facilitator/instructor or Max. All other information, even from those who know and practice (a version) of red phoenix should be taken with a grain of salt. For instance, a beginning practitioner said earlier that many people later on in the path experience qigong psychosis and entity issues. Totally untrue information! This type of thing is actually against multiple forum rules. Do I need to copy and paste them here? Peace out again.

I like to look at nature (for instance, mountains) way off in the distance, while just sitting there doing nothing. Good for gaining perspective. I also like looking downward, and relaxing the sight (so it's more peripheral). Good for becoming meditative and collecting your light. Also like looking way up close at certain things...good for having attention to detail. These methods tend to bring a sense of elation and calm, which I think is important. Closed eye can sometimes make the eyes tense, but if it doesn't then it's great too...especially important if you can't focus on whatever your meditation is and can't calm down or go within.

He's been around for years now... Calling someone an enlightened master may not be accurate, but saying that a teacher isn't an enlightened master is definitely inaccurate (IMO). His kuji-in is different from other types, but not bad. I have checked out maybe half of his products. I think he's a priest in some Pure Land Buddhist sect, which might be questionable in comparison to other schools...or might not...I know he has looked into a lot of paths. I like some of the things he has said.

Ah another absolutely fucking pointless poster wanting in on the drama. Thanks. I'm done with this topic for good...if anyone wants to engage me in discussion do it via PM...I am not returning.

That was my personal experience with red phoenix a couple of years ago. I still agree with myself. I have nothing to gain from saying it, and absolutely no wish to convince you or other non-practitioners of anything. This is a thread about kunlun or red phoenix...for practitioners or people who are interested to discuss those things ONLY. For those who are here for a real purpose, this is what the official website says of red phoenix:
-
Yup, I like her! Although I don't like the way many different things are mixed, like reiki with Castaneda terminology, etc. But I shouldn't judge what she has found works for her from decades of experience. Thinking of taking her course to see if it's for me.

I realize that's what she said, and I find it offensive. As joeblast said, the only dangers are from incorrect practice. I also realize that lightening up is good for me, however... This is a thread about red phoenix, a Kunlun practice. It's for people interested in those things ONLY. It's not for a bunch of bystanders to talk about random bullshit. It's not a place to be critical of Max. Not a place to talk about other systems. If you're not interested in Kunlun...not interested in red phoenix...get out! If you're just interested in the drama...get OUT. Recently it was said that it's against forum rules to derail threads. There has been way too much of that happening here. It's also against the rules to slander teachers. Obviously that has happened here. Part of slandering would also be a bunch of outsiders misunderstanding things that are being said, and insinuating that the Kunlun system is dangerous. It's UNTRUE and it's DAMAGING to the system to say those things. No one ever said that was the case, and I find it totally disrespectful for people to perpetuate those misunderstandings. In actuality, it's a very healing system of practices. So yeah: have some respect for those interested in Kunlun here, and don't derail the thread, don't slander the teacher or the system, don't speak about things you know nothing about. Let the interested people have a clear place to ask questions and get answers...please, forum members, stop making threads into a gigantic mess like this one has become. And if you have a problem with me speaking my mind on this, then realize that it's my problem and my choice to temporarily step off of the spiritual path and say this. This is not a thread to discuss whether I need to lighten up or not...if you want to discuss that, just PM me. Discussing it on here is derailing the thread. I realize that discussing people derailing the thread also happens to be another way to derail the thread further, so I'm sorry to those who are interested in this. So this is the final thing I'll say in here that's not entirely on topic. I will just report whoever is fucking around from this point forward.

Hey rainbowvein, I think it's disrespectful to come into this thread talking about another path as if it's better than the one being discussed. You don't see me going into Stillness Movement threads touting Kunlun and saying it's better... There are lots of different ways to stimulate the LDT. The Stillness Movement practice IMO doesn't seem to be dangerous in this regard...although I do think for someone with qigong psychosis it might only make things worse. The strong or more dense qi of the lower dantien opens up the same pathway going up the back channel into the brain. This opinion (regarding a lower dantien building practice) is not just my own through personal experience, but is also reflected in medical qigong texts...

I consider it to be a serious alchemical path...of course being a serious person in the negative sense (like a grumpy faced know it all who points fingers at everyone but themselves) isn't really helpful. But the practices should alleviate that to a degree...moreso if the person realizes how better off they would be if they changed.
-
I don't believe you at all. See you (somewhere other than here)!

No one cares. Bye!

Stopping it...right. I'm sure you have experience with this... This isn't the place for discussing the methods and means of other schools or teachers. Once again...since you have no interest, please leave.

When you store with your feelings or mind, also with the breath, it automatically circulates through the MCO. It will cause problems if you are experiencing qigong or kundalini psychosis...I know and have experienced both varieties as a result of improper lower dantien methods and other things. When I was having my qigong psychosis experiences last year, among other things, I was instructed to lay on my back and breathe very gently and naturally, with the hands on the LDT right outside of left. That hand position does help bring energy out of the head, and with storing and not circulating...so what you say is possible...

The energy being the rising lower dantien energy, which people tend to call "qi". Red phoenix energy (which is something else entirely) actually tends to move throughout the whole body and open the throat channels. This is true. It's important not to overdo...also not to be forceful. Gentle and just getting the feeling is best...10 minutes is fine. We do scalp massages to help the sutures open. Another thing I've found that helps is BeCalm balls, which is similar to craniosacral therapy, which is recommended by Max. I am really saying too much to non-practitioners. And I'm not certified to teach so those who are interested, don't take my word for it. If you're not interested, More Pie Guy, then go elsewhere. Or you're just interested in wasting my time and insinuating that I don't know what I'm talking about? That is not appreciated.

Actually, having learned how to teach it (to be clear I'm not certified anymore), I disagree completely. I hope you don't attempt to do that...but in case you do, people should know that they haven't been taught correctly. For those who are interested, go see an apprentice, facilitator, instructor, or Max himself. This is totally untrue and just the opinion of a non-practitioner. Check out the book Taoist Yoga...an upper dantien practice is one of the first things you do. This is the path of the immortals...it is Taoist alchemy. Not qigong. Not a healing qi lineage. Yes you do have to be careful. By practicing according to instructions. When you stray from that, the problems come. So I urge people not to practice these methods based on the false opinions of outsiders...learn only through the legitimate sources. This is actually more due to lower dantien practices done incorrectly or to excess. I know from experience. Red phoenix is safe and if you've been taught by a legitimate source, you will have the the info to keep it that way. There should be no problems resulting from the practice. If anyone experiences problems, ask a legitimate person and you will get help. But yeah main point: the strong type of qi generated in the lower dantien, which has the power to break through the 3 blocks and enter the brain...that's the dangerous type in regards to qigong psychosis. There are SKILLFUL ways of dealing with too much energy in the brain, and it definitely doesn't involve more lower dan practices...that will make you much worse.

All are invited.

It's become apparent to me that you NEED to shut up. As has already been said, Max has been tested a few different times. He would show you if you visited him. Why show a bunch of strangers who aren't even interested in the system? And yet you insinuate that he's "afraid". I know you realize that you're being inflammatory. You're speaking with kunlun students who respect Max and don't like to see him and his system defamed. Who don't like their opinions to be so blatantly disrespected. Who don't have the time to waste with this pointless bullshit. Since you have no interest, I ask you to go elsewhere. I am being offended by your words here.
-
And I'm encouraging you to actually walk it...
-
Unfortunately, that is exactly what you've been doing... 1) By following your friend who actually isn't advanced (for instance, he hasn't even learned the basic lesson of "do not judge" in calling someone a 'bad joke'). 2) By looking for masters of "obvious energy", who by that very definition, have nothing to do with your end goal of immortality. Seriously. 3) By not actually practicing anything. 4) By spending your time casting judgments on people with entire lifetimes of experience, as if your opinion (as a non-practitioner and someone inexperienced in what you're discussing) meant anything to anyone. It doesn't...or at least it shouldn't! 5) By assuming that all of the people at this forum are untrustworthy, inexperienced, less knowledgable than you or your friend, etc. That's a joke. 6) By choosing to remain ignorant of one of the few paths that would lead you to your desired goals within your lifetime. 7) By reading this, and not considering the truth of the words.

It's hardly leaping to that conclusion if you saw the xray yourself. Very clear that it's from the practices. By the way, I said 'crystallizations'...you said 'deposits'. I have no problem using your terminology instead. Something unique is in there. But once again, who cares? Does it make any difference to you if some guy has "deposits" in his skull that non-practitioners don't? It's not like the people who practice Kunlun do it because of that...
