Totally agree with this.

...who is from the monastery (maoshan)? I don't know...am legitimately asking. Stop trying to make a tiny piece of the truth seem more concrete than it is! Well, whose path is more important to you: your own, or someone who isn't even here? The spotlight should always be on us. I have always been trying to point to the practices and to our own actions in the midst of this gossip fest. I am not pretending. I admitted before that he tells stories, and that some myth is involved in the sharing of practices. What you're seeing is actually people questioning what you consider to be "all the facts". We just point out that you don't have ALL of the facts, despite what you like to think. If you are interested in working on your own path, instead of the gossipping route...I'd suggest you work on honesty in admitting when you don't have the whole picture. For instance, I admitted that in regards to Jenny, by saying that I've never met her and shouldn't be jumping to conclusions based off of her website and what other people assert that she said. Not saying I'm a good example to follow, but that action was a good example to follow. Have fun at Occupy...wish I was occupying but my town is too small.

Did you not read what I said to him in this thread? Or his first post where he flipped out on me over nothing? Here is my last post to him... To me, that is reconciliation. Why make it seem like a bigger deal than it is? The mods decided...the drama is over. However, I will also address this: What lineage? He is not a legitimate teacher, having been disowned by his former spirit fighting teacher, Sifu Hata. Was he even a lineage holder of this before being disowned?? He does not have permission to teach, and most of what are in his products are modified or watered down practices. This is not slander...this is fact. Do a search on this forum for Sifu Hata and find the truth.

Perhaps he was talking about before it was shared with Jenny? Maybe he's talking about his other (real) teachers... Why do you feel the need to try and call Max a liar? What purpose does it serve, honestly? To make Jenny look more legitimate? Another case of "when you point the finger at someone, there are three pointing back at you". Could be an example to learn and develop from, rather than taking this as 'scotty defending max' or 'scotty and i are having a debate'.

The truth on the level we are discussing is malleable. But I certainly have my view of it, and you have yours. If we are more honest with ourselves, we can "see both sides of the coin". For instance, I can see your point that someone shouldn't go along with a friend's lies. Nothing we're saying is really of any value...

Honesty at the expense of talking poorly about a "dharma brother" behind his back, to a bunch of beginner students? Essentially defaming another school and spreading rumors? Like I said, people will form vastly different opinions on what's presented here...some types of people will think this is an example of her integrity. My opinion on how to behave with your friends and fellow teachers is obviously something else entirely. All I can do is kinda be in awe of this world we live in sometimes.
-
You do realize this doesn't make her look good, right?
-
It's interesting how people can develop vastly different views based on subtle things. Everything being said, I have never met her in person so am out of line in saying anything of her. All that we know about what she has said if from her website and people who studied with her. This is not a good enough thing to base an opinion off of...so, my bad.
-
Yup, that is what I was saying, but also that I'm partly open to being wrong. To clarify something...I'm not calling Max a liar in saying this. Just giving my partially educated opinion of KYMQG. This is allowed here...especially seeing as how there's no one who visits this forum, including 5ET, who is more educated in this. Anyone who has studied Kunlun, and seen the KYMQG DVD is just as "educated".

5, I think you were just as slanderous towards me (even stating falsely that I was calling Max a liar; that's not what I said), and that it was totally uncalled for. I don't come to deal with YOUR emotional issues...I come here for information and friendship. If you dish it out on someone, you should know that not everyone will just take it...some will give you a dose of your own medicine! Don't feel unwelcome here, though...even from me. A lot is mistranslated online. If we were in person, you'd see from my face that this isn't a big deal (to me) and that I consider you to be a friend just like anyone else here. I know your feelings are hurt from my opinion of your status as a teacher and your products. What I didn't say was that I think if people take up your program, they will experience something and that some may enjoy it. So anyway, my best to you. -Scott

I think he tells stories, but a lot if not all is true. On what grounds can we say that he didn't have a teacher who he made a promise to? Or that in one of his traditions, he was the last of four for this 100 years that were permitted to teach? I mean, maybe it's not true...I just have no idea. My point was only that maybe it wasn't referring to Jenny. From what I know, he did travel and visit a few temples...specifically in Tibet. I mean, there are pictures of him there. Maybe he was mistaken, or oversimplifying, or even lying in saying that it was Kunlun mountain. Or maybe not. I don't blame you for thinking it's mostly lies. What she has said regarding him is in my opinion not in loving terms. This is just my opinion, as someone with a unique view of morality in friendships. I disagree completely...but once again this is just my view. I think even Max would disagree with me...but I am my own person, and do not represent Kunlun. As a result of her actions, which I do consider somewhat petty, I decided to not train with her. On the other hand, I did recently recommend her DVD to someone. People can all form their own opinions of various teachers. For instance, you have formed yours about Max. It's all good and this doesn't have to come between us.

Do you really think he made this up entirely? Having been a long time student of at least three teachers (Jenny is not included as a teacher)...we know one of them is still alive, but do you really know everything that factually happened in Max's life based on the rumor mill and the few stories he has told? If Jenny wants to essentially call her "dharma brother" a liar without knowing the whole story and making assumptions, that's her karma...and to say this behind his back, and have people still consider her a "master"? About the movie demos, that's called "kunlun games" and any practitioner who is open can play them. As others have said, it's intended to teach about energy, heal and connect people. It's also a way to test a person...for instance, how grounded they are. Part of it is having a loose mind and being spontaneous...but another part of it is real influence of energy. Reflecting harmful intent is something else, and it doesn't always work...so why accept challenges. Furthermore, consider the meaning of "martial art". It's not about fighting, it's about winning. The highest martial art is avoiding conflict entirely, and is in line with the spiritual path (WHICH KUNLUN IS. It's not a martial school at all). The second highest martial art is destroying your enemy without risking your own loss, or repercussion...in this you must consider "only the dead have seen the end of war"...why even go down that path? A mediocre martial art is fighting someone head to head who you know you can win, and preserving "honor" (meathead status). And the worst martial art is where you risk losing, because the meatheads pressure you into accepting a challenge.

Guess what, "fiveelementtao"... Your post which started this (which was actually a personal attack and contained insults) is now reported, too.
-
Calling you out is not screwing up, regardless of whether I'm banned or not (for telling the truth about your products and your history). You need to take your own advice! ... Since I'm already wasting enough of my time on fiveelementtao, I am not willing to look up old posts to support my claims. They are there, if you search through his old posts. My claims are not "fishy" at all...they are absolutely true regarding him and his products. Other teachers can be slandered, called "liars" and have a whole bunch of false claims said about them (such as that evil reptiles are involved with them)...how is it that NOTHING is allowed to be said of fiveelementtao's products? Something to think about, for those who have a bit of honesty. EDIT: whoops, read your post wrong, lucky. But I guess the answer is the same for now: I can support my claims, but am unwilling to at the moment.
-
Yup. I am critical of you as a teacher, and even more critical of your PRODUCTS...if this is deserving of any moderator action, then so be it! I can handle that and will not fight against it. But if it is, then I will feel obligated to point out where others are critical of teachers/products as well! And I will also point out how you have "consciously, deliberately and maliciously attacked my character" here: Now, put me on ignore like you said you were going to do, so we can let this go. Such a waste of time.

Yes, I always seem to get in trouble for it! Thanks for the reminder!

Something I should have addressed earlier... His Teutonic stuff is almost entirely made up...the rest of it is connecting the dots when there really is no connection. He claims that his ancestor spirits guided him, but anyone with a discerning eye can tell otherwise. He has posted fraudulent history here regarding ancient symbols and this tradition. The HUUL breath mantra is just red phoenix level 2 stolen and modified a bit. Where is the acknowledgement? Where is his certification to teach and modify Kunlun methods? Moreover, where is his certification from his maoshan teacher? From what I understand, the teacher disowned him and told him not to teach! This isn't even touching the "Celestial Neigong" stuff, which is absolute crap. Just my opinion. I wanted to share it earlier, but felt a kind streak run through me despite this man's bitterness towards me in the past. Now that he has felt the need to freak out on me again, I feel totally fine with stating my mind about his PRODUCTS. Not willing to discuss this further. My apologies for addressing an amateur system in the midst of discussion regarding a couple of real teachers.

Me having an opinion based on what makes sense to me personally is not disrespectful at all. CHILL.
-
Well, it's strange how it contains the gold flower mudra in one part, what is essentially an early form of the kunlun method, and a form of red phoenix, all in the same method...too many similarities for me to agree that it's from a separate school, despite Max and whoever else stating that it is. I think that would be close to impossible, especially seeing as how Christopher Matsuo was a student of Max's. What are the odds. Where is another person on the face of this earth who teaches KYMQG, who can verify that it's from Wudang? So I'm not 100% sure at all, more like 95% sure of my view...so just take this as my opinion, and not as an attempt to spread disinformation. People can decide for themselves what is true regarding this. Kunlun and KYMQG...they are definitely separate methods which will produce different results. So we agree on that.
-
I don't think Max has taught "fragments". They are whole practices in themselves, and are traditional. KYMQG is just mixing them together and is not an original practice. Personally, I prefer them separate. And red phoenix 1 has a different effect than just doing the reverse pathway without the specific mudra, as well as specific creation of a type of energy.
-
Try it out, what do you feel? I have some opinions...but it's just my experience.
-
Can you explain more, taooneusa?
-
Totally agree.
-
I say stick with it. It's good to have more people with conviction and integrity in positions of power...giving up your power doesn't solve anything. This was also the problem with Stig dropping out as a mod here.
-
K, Yes, what's more important...actually helping others, or being brutally honest at the expense of helping them? At least personally, I can say with full integrity that the first choice is preferred. (Anyway...consider how we know about Max's teachers in the first place. It's because he told everyone the real history. )
