  1. Spontaneous Movement Qigong

True, it does have this effect.
  2. How To Go Unnoticed By Negative People

    Hmmmmmmmmmmmm!
  3. How To Go Unnoticed By Negative People

This is true. Also, there actually IS a disappearing effect which can occur. Of course, no one will see it happening to verify that you actually physically disappeared (as far as I know)...but the fact that they don't notice you when they normally should makes it apparent. It's as if you truly become one with Nature (your own true nature, as well as the true nature of your natural or unnatural immediate environment...both of which are of the same essence). And sometimes the upward flow type thing affects kids, so that they have a lot of fun around you. You may notice that in general, women will be more accepting of your presence, if you're a guy. Maybe even flirty. You'll get a lot of blank/confused/threatened stares from people who aren't up to speed in terms of consciousness. You don't wish to be around them...and they don't wish to be around you. Just some things I've noticed from a specific practice. ...although I do like having a downward and rooted flow of energy when there isn't any emotional disturbance. Best of both worlds.
  4. Spontaneous Movement Qigong

Well, experience with these methods, as well as methods that do improve the qi flow.
  5. Spontaneous Movement Qigong

Placebo, or else relaxation response. Whatever healing they are perceiving is not due to improved qi flow, because most of what you see in those videos is actually harmful to the qi (except for the deer exercise where you are essentially stomping on the ground). The students don't look like they are benefitting to me. Especially when they are falling on their sacrum from the standing position! OUCH. However, I am not wishing to prevent anyone from exploring and finding out for themselves.
  6. Spontaneous Movement Qigong

At least personally, I've practiced a few different forms of spontaneous movement...and I don't like any of them!!! In my opinion they are useless. Not good for health. Not good for energy, spirit, etc. It's interesting at first because it seems like something is working...but nah...nothing good comes of it. Something similar is doing controlled movements with a little bit of spontaneity or naturalness. Kind of like an untrained man trying to do a slam dunk (absolute control and no spontaneity) versus Lebron James doing it (controlled movement done in a more natural way). I prefer that. "Wei wu wei" But...gone are the days where I am flung around supposedly by an energy flow.
  7. OK Seriously Where To Get KUNLUN BOOK?

Agreed. That was a good post by 5ET! Very good point. His classes are generally lively in one way or another...which is awesome. Also, side note: the kunlun practice is not meant to be spontaneous. That is just something that can happen. The teaching has always been to favor stillness. This is one of the ways that it differs from Sifu Jenny's yigong, which as far as I understand is meant to be spontaneous.
  8. That's a fuckin' relief.

    Congrats man.
  9. Police are entertainers

  10. Skills

The first video isn't going to be skills that you're able to learn, and if you can do it with someone, it doesn't really have martial applications. Chris Matsuo and joeblast aren't in the video. Chris (Mantra68) is the guy with the crossed arms.

I used to wonder about this. Max taught a few things...first, that the kunlun energy which you generate has the power to cast out any kind of entities. You simply command things to leave if they show up. They might be weird and maybe evil (I've had experiences with various types of personalities of ghosts, some very loving, some clingy, some scary), but they aren't harmful. Eventually, after a while of practice, your intent takes effect and nothing comes near you. You end up spreading a protective barrier without trying. It helps to be a good person. Also, Max taught that if you have an experience with some entity, either stare at it or try to touch it. I did this once, and realized my control over these things (of the mind). If people are scared, that's legitimate. But be honest. Have you been harmed by these paranormal experiences? Can these experiences make you into an evil person, subduing your willpower and decision making? Also ask yourself: isn't it spiritual policy to not avoid anything? To cultivate non attachment? To be fearless, and compassionate? Protecting yourself is fine, but this is also an opportunity to work on some things. And: what kind of enlightenment involves closing your eyes if you see something paranormal?
  12. OK Seriously Where To Get KUNLUN BOOK?

Well kunlun+red phoenix is the 'path of no more learning'. You can just do those practices and not be bothered with anything else. If you choose to learn more things, or be bothered, both of which are no problem...then it's just more that you let go of, or that you find ultimately unimportant. Just my view. Besides...the '12 mystery schools' idea wasn't taught in the facilitator course. It's (most likely) not important when it comes down to practicing any of those methods. They work purely within the body, and deal with creation and proaction rather than reaction to anything external. Going from microcosm to macrocosm...from center of the milky way out to the manifestations...rather than in methods which would use the constellations or natural world, then draw that within, etc...macro to micro. Practicing the two methods is really a non-conceptual, non-philosophical thing. Just like 'letting go' is non-conceptual and non-philosophical...when you really do it. Talking about eating a pizza is totally different from making one and consuming it. I know which option I prefer.
  13. Bliss VS Awareness

+1 Even the respiration that is always occurring within the body becomes sublime.
  14. Bliss VS Awareness

    Bliss.
  15. OK Seriously Where To Get KUNLUN BOOK?

Good question Sloppy. My answer may not be totally correct, but it's something I heard. The 12 'mystery schools' are related to the 12 signs of the zodiac. The 13th sign is related to your own personal unique 'mystery school'. The 'root' is related to the center of the milky way galaxy. There are internal correlations for everything external. It's a type of knowledge that isn't very useful for the practitioner of kunlun+red phoenix. Maybe it's more useful for people who take all of the shaman or egyptian classes.
  16. Core Breathing

Basically a method where you contract your core (pull your navel back towards your spine) while inhaling and exhaling. You use a ball to see whether your abdomen is moving (incorrect practice of this method) or not (correct).
  17. Moderation at the tao bums

Mal, From my perspective, not being able to see inside of your mind and not being able to see any private moderator conversations...you posting this was a big shift compared to everything else you said and all that you did publicly. If you really stuck up for me (and what was right) like that, thanks. And thanks for saying welcome back in the other thread. _/\_
  18. Kunlun:4 Years later

Nice to hear your 4 year report, Camz. _/\_
  19. Scotty and Stigweard

? Is that an official moderator response? What does it mean? Are you not taking what I said seriously for some reason? Edit: Oh, I think I get it now. You think you should be paid to do your job correctly...as long as money isn't coming in, you will refuse to do it correctly? Then why did you accept your position? Out of respect for the integrity of this forum, you should consider the points I made.
  20. OK Seriously Where To Get KUNLUN BOOK?

It's really best to learn the practices from an apprentice/facilitator/instructor or Max himself. It's worth spending the dough to travel and do that. Both sides of the story are kind of right. These are deeply affecting practices, and can bring up some interesting experiences. The idea that when you "open up", you experience more things...is the most accurate view of this. Primarily your dreams will be affected. You might have a lot of nightmares. That's good if you can process these things, learn from them, and not ascribe direct meaning (remember, dreams are symbolic). It's bad if you can't deal with having some nightmares, if you choose not to learn anything, and if you interpret your dreams literally. Eventually you deal with your garbage, integrate it, and it's all good. Taking breaks from the practices helps. The idea that the specific practices connect you to the ones associated with those practices also might be true, but is not as pertinent. For example, over a period of like 4 years, I've had one experience of a snake like being. Just one. And that was during the time everyone was saying "kunlun is a reptile lineage" and freaking eachother out. And the being didn't even do anything...it just appeared like a cardboard cutout, then disappeared. So much for "dangerous". I've had more experiences of Max teaching me and a class various things, than I've had with any reptiles. So experiences seem to be more due to opening up, rather than connecting to some snake lineage. Consider that in Indian and Tibetan cultures, amongst others in Asia, snakes and nagas are actually beneficial. They taught people spiritual secrets, according to tradition. So even if Kunlun were a 'reptile lineage', it doesn't have the same connotations that it does here in the West, where snakes are the DEVIL. Working on yourself, to have your life be the way that you wish it to be, while simultaneously 'letting go'...that's the tightrope that you walk. People eventually figure everything out for themselves, and they have interesting experiences, and survive it all. Witch, my guess is that whatever you experienced was more of a mirror phenomenon. Trunk, Matsuo is a lineage holder student of Max. He is a more direct link than the Kunlun book! The dvd you recommend contains a few of the kunlun practices lumped together. So I don't really understand where you're coming from.
  21. I have a gigantic problem with how no moderation action has yet been taken against Seth Ananda. Here is a list of just some of the insults he has recently posted in this thread... Others have been instantly suspended or banned for MUCH less. What's up with the moderation here? Is posting 29 direct insults against another forum member here EVER justified????
  22. Seth Ananda needing to be banned

Yes...never say anything potentially negative about Buddhism. In fact, avoid the subject and the people who wish to discuss it completely! Sunya, too.
