If the MCO is open then it happens naturally/effortlessly any time there is sexual stimulation.

A long way to go as far as understanding why you're here? Yes.
-
Do you? Probably best to stick to your area of (relative) expertise...taiji. Ejaculation has a lot to do with the Tao, which is why it's being discussed here. By the way, do you know what Tao is? And where did you get that information from for healthy people? It was actually suggested for all people by a few Chinese medicine sources. The SPERMS take 3 days to reach maturity??? Where does that information come from? You are just making things up now! That's what we're trying to discuss. Not how often to ejaculate if you practice taijiquan.
-
ChiDragon, Where does the following information come from? You have only been taught breathing and taiji. Why are you discussing anything having to do with ejaculation and the Tao? You are spreading disinformation. To be clear: suggesting that people should ejaculate at the very least one or two times per day is potentially too much for some. I have never heard a Taoist or a Chinese medicine doctor ever suggest this. I've heard them suggest once every 3 days at most. Then, there is the study which says testosterone levels spike 7 days after ejaculation. And then there are Taoist alchemists, who tend to recommend once a week at the minimum, once a month at the maximum, or else complete celibacy.

do you have to be a zen master to be successful with women?
Aetherous replied to Non's topic in General Discussion
It could end right there! You don't have to be perfect...the girls definitely aren't! -
do you have to be a zen master to be successful with women?
Aetherous replied to Non's topic in General Discussion
Actually it depends. In some circles, and in common usage for ranking between humans, "omega male" usually means a guy that's actually better than an alpha. Alpha male, at least in my experience, is typically used as an insult...whereas omega male is kind of like an alpha male, without any of the negative associations. See some different defintions in common usage here: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=omega%20male&defid=2516988 -

Those damn zen masters always cock-blocking us... Anyway this one zen master once told me the following. If you want a woman in your life just: Have a job where you earn decent money. Have your own car. Learn how to cook well. That's it! So easy. Those are the three criticals, then the rest is: Live outside of your parent's house. Be in a cool band (where you play live shows), have a cool job (like a firefighter), or else at least a cool hobby (like skateboarding or something). Workout so your body is at least not unattractive. Grooming is important, so you don't have dirty long toenails or something. Shower often. Dress a little bit above average (for instance, wear a polo when other guys are wearing scrubby t-shirts, etc). The list can go on, but basically get these things down in your lifestyle and it will help you to become that zen master who gets all the ladies. Then an important point for you personally, Non.... Stop sabotaging yourself by having negative thoughts. Such as, all girls only like certain guys and not me...etc. If you go out on a date I can imagine you testing a girl with all of this pointless bullshit, and it will most likely cause her to run away from you. If you let go of this baggage, then there's no reason for her to run away. Just have a fun time with girls...if you're not having fun, find a different girl. And just try to enjoy yourself in this life, as others have said. Do things for your own benefit. That's what is most important. Girls come and go, but you and your happiness remain. Your choices and actions remain...so be good and have fun, regardless of anything. -
Sweet! I'd rather meditate in a BMW, than a smelly oldsmobile that's about to break down. Life affirming religions rock.
-
I bolded the important part. I could easily find many people with "religious studies credentials" (whatever that means exactly) who would and could disagree with a lot of what you wrote. Anyway, props on collecting the posts where I disagreed with you...that is quite impressive!

That is a very hilarious and false statement Mr. Vmarco.

Da Zuo. Basically just sit. I prefer to sit in a chair with my feet on the ground, lean against the back rest (no slouching though, you must be upright), and put my hands on the arm rests or on my thighs palm facing down. That's it. It puts your energy and mind into a state of peace. There is nothing else to do with this technique. Zen practitioners call this type of practice shikantaza, but they have a specific way of sitting (which isn't necessary). Later on, you can progress to sitting on the edge of a chair and balancing the spine (no back rest). Then you can progress to crossed legs while sitting on a cushion, if you want. Or using a seiza bench...whatever you like and what suits your specific purposes. Sometime during this progression, you can add in belly breathing. Or there are other types of meditation...for instance, visualizations, mantras, affirmations... Or you can just start with a more advanced type of meditation, right from the beginning. It's all up to you. What you should find out is, "What do I want to accomplish specifically with this meditation?" Or maybe a better question, "What is meditation, exactly?" Like, what is the purpose of sitting there? However...to begin I think da zuo is good. Just sit (with no pleasurable distractions, such as TV in the background)! It's so easy.

Fortune-Telling and Astrology is a waste of time, energy and money
Aetherous replied to tulku's topic in General Discussion
More than a bit contradictory... ... By the way, I agree. Fortune telling and astrology are bogus. And karma is in your own hands...it's all about choice in each moment. -
Your people? You mean Chinese people? Read Embryonic Breathing by Yang Jwing Ming. He's Chinese. He uses TONS of Chinese sources in that book. If you're talking about your source which you were referring to, you should just find a new one...you're getting false information, which is based on an outsider's perspective. As for myself, I'm not here to qualify my training or experience to you.

This is a misunderstanding. Reverse breathing increases energy and flow, which is natural. Stagnation and a gut that sticks out is unnatural. More energy and flow = more connection with nature. Natural breathing or reverse breathing...both could be considered equally unnatural in the sense that you're speaking of, because both are deviations of the breathing process due to your consciously guiding it. Reverse breathing is usually called Taoist breathing...natural breathing is sometimes called Buddhist breathing, because it lacks power and is more for calming.

Anyone can do it for as long as they wish if they're sitting correctly...I have no idea what you're talking about.
-
I can do it sitting. Once again you're spreading lies here.
-
Well, I completely disagree based on what you wrote. Enjoy.
-
TianShi, You've completely misunderstood what is meant by this phrase.

Are you sitting on a zafu? Try to sit more on your "sits bones"....I personally lean forward kind of to expose the lower buttocks area, put my weight down, and then bring the torso back up so that it is balanced in all directions. Maybe that will help. Yes, I think it should be done very gently. The way I was taught, the mind should focus elsewhere, such as the lower dantien. Closing the huiyin naturally takes some attention away, which isn't a problem. It sounds like you're using the 3 bandhas, am I right? They do things pretty forcefully which is different from how I learned Taoist ways.
-
If you're meditating on one thing, it's clearing the mind of everything except that thing. It's actually an easier way to begin, and can have some purposes, like dealing with energy and developing various siddhis. My view is that if you're attempting to meditate, you're already meditating...anytime you become aware of awareness or control the mind. OR even anytime you're simply sitting, that is meditation.
-
ChiDragon, Stop spreading lies on the forum, please. Closing the huiyin is a very basic part of many Taoist practices, and is not for people at an advanced level. It can be done sitting.

I think if you perspire easily, maybe it means your wei qi is strong. Not necessarily a bad thing. But yeah, getting tests if you want to be sure is a good idea.
