  1. Moderators Stay Out of The Pit !

This was quoted as being used as the standards for moderation within "the pit", since it pertains to the entire forum upon joining: So if a person is harassing another within the pit, they can be suspended? Posting anything vulgar, or hateful? Etc... My point is that if you're going to have rules for the pit and moderation happening there, then those rules need to be clarified and pinned there. If the "Forum Terms & Rules" are going to be used in the pit, then we're going to have a lot of posts being reported from there.
  2. Raise the Red Lantern

Yup. In fact, I don't think there was a worldwide patriarchy over the last few thousand years. Such a view is extremist and false...and it's too bad that it's commonly accepted as truth. I don't think that is a good example at all. Rich men don't rule the common people in our society...they simply have a lot of money.
  3. 'No self' my experience so far...

Yet, there is an individual perception. There is awareness of what's seen through the eyes, felt through the skin, etc. There is awareness of the mind. But there is nothing beyond these things...these are the limits of an individual perception. From our limited point of view, we can see that there is a whole wide world out there which is just outside of our individual perception. We can see other people with their own individual perceptions seeing the world from an entirely different point of view than our own. They also experience the mind differently from us. So how can someone say there is no self? That individual perception, which is embodied within one human form, is a self. The self changes from birth to death, and can change itself into a being which disidentifies to achieve some result, like avoiding pain...but it's still a self, going through an individual journey.
  4. Qi and telekinesis

If you can see energy in any sort of way, you can see that it's just a trick.
  5. Get girls to check you out

    Interesting exercise.
  6. Stillness-Movement Neigong Review

Snowmonki, Thank you for the thoughtful response. _/\_
  7. Stillness-Movement Neigong Review

Ya Mu, Those are just things I remember seeing on this forum, which seemed to reflect poorly. It was the impression I was under as an outsider with no agenda. The individual seminars are fairly priced compared to others. I was referring to this fee policy for the certification program on your website... We now require an initial $1,000 up front non-refundable deposit in order to enroll in our program. This helps establish a students commitment to the program. But this fee is offset by reduced workshop fees for those enrolled in the program. For example the normal $275 two day workshop fee is reduced to $225 for those enrolled in the program. Program enrollees are also given preferential treatment in having direct access by phone to Michael Lomax for any questions they may ever have. Definitely not assuming that. I was mostly just reacting to being told that those who can't afford it are not "ready". Anyway, it wasn't right for me to sort of attack you as a teacher or your system of practices in the process. That was not my intention here and I have no reason to do so. I was referring to paying for transmissions...haven't been trained in medical qigong therapy. I'm always very tempted to take your course and check it out. But then you say things like "well I might quit this any day now" and the fact that it is a 1000 non refundable deposit...simply puts me off. Could just be an issue of "readiness" with me...although with the right teaching, I am more than ready. We'll see...
  8. EMF Pollution Protection II

I've heard great things about earthing. A friend sleeps with an earthing mat plugged in, and apparently it's helped his insomnia quite a bit.
  9. Stillness-Movement Neigong Review

Very true. Some of us are not ready for certain things, such as paying hundreds for a transmission. Been there done that, and found that individual practice is the key. That's the main thing that's turned me off from SM. The fact that the practice is contained in the book, but if it doesn't work to satisfaction, the person is told that they need the transmission. Then if they get it and are dissatisfied, they are told that they didn't practice enough. I've been watching. My interest has been in the medical program that's offered, due to the reported effectiveness. But that's another thing that turns me off from the program...you have to pay 1000 upfront, then go pay a couple hundred for multiple other seminars? That's a lot of money. But people who are willing to do it are ready...financially. So I'm just a guy bitching about it who is not ready.
  10. What Type of Physical Training Do You Do?

I go walking at least half an hour a day. Sometimes running. It makes me feel great...but not so much for my legs. Shin splints. Should be stretching the legs and hips more! Thinking about adding in a FlowFit session to get lean. Haven't found any qigong forms that I really like (don't even like zhan zhuang)...my "qigong" is internal, intent based, and far superior to any form. Lately have been doing a quick self massage afterwards, which kinda counts as a physical activity.
  11. Raider of the Lost Ark

Nothing was revealed. The host of the show thinks it's buried beneath some church in France. Good episode with possible locations I hadn't heard of before.
  12. Stillness-Movement Neigong Review

    To save hundreds of dollars.
  13. I know what you mean regarding this...when you open up energetically it's not fun sometimes. But it's just stuff that will eventually balance out, so don't worry... Sometimes it helps to avoid certain types of people (if possible), just to maintain your serenity. Nothing wrong with that. In Jerry Alan Johnson's books (I think the exorcism manual), it suggests to look into the person's left eye (when you're looking at them the one on the right side), if you feel uncomfortable around them. You can also cross your hands at your navel, and cross your legs (ways of closing off your energy from them). You can try smiling from the heart...watch more comedy movies and get into that happy mood. If it's hard to do that, physically put a smile on your face and feel whatever subtle change there is. If those suggestions help you be more comfortable and social, then keep them...if not, then they aren't worth keeping of course. Seems Kunlun is helping this. That practice works in mysterious ways!...but if you start getting bad effects from anything, then back off. Another thing you can do is walking, that may help with the root chakra. Walking is my favorite form of qigong! Or martial arts of some kind, as long as it's not too aggressive.
  14. "Manifesting"

Manifesting Manitou! ... Vajra, I don't understand your answer. You just mean that you're a manifestation? I was trying to understand what you meant by the "language symbols" part.
  15. It really is. Especially when the protesting involves them saying the deceased are going to hell. I have no respect for the group. None. That's me putting it lightly.
  16. "Manifesting"

Vajra, Can you give an example or two?
  17. Raider of the Lost Ark

There will be a new show on the SyFy channel called Legend Quest, starting on the 13th. One of the episodes will be dealing with the Ark, apparently with new information regarding it.
  18. Non medical tao practices?

    Kunlun.
  19. Yes I am kidding...but okay, now it actually does make more sense.
  20. Nah man, I'd do Scar last...that cat's ugly.
  21. You'd bang Nala last? I don't know...I'm trying to think of your reasons behind this, mewtwo.
  22. Be not Defeated by the Rain

    Love this.
  23. ashida kim at borders.

    His books aren't that good.
  24. Who are you?

I'm a human being. Once this body dies, I'll find out if I'm something else.
  25. Master Yang

Thanks for answering, happyheart! If I were in Australia I'd check him out.
