That's what I thought about the ones where Kan is sitting cross legged and then he stands up. The new ones don't have that effect as much.

THANK YOU! Some decent skeptical arguments!

Man, this hangover is simply not allowing me to think on this level. So I'll just say that I agree, yet have no care either way. We are only in control of ourselves, and even that is immensely challenging at times. Peace.
-
I disagree. We are all free to be as irresponsible as we choose!
-
I don't believe anything, either...yet I'd be interested to see the argument showing how the new photos of Kan are faked. To me, they look very interesting. I'm extremely interested to see if anyone could actually disprove them.

Oh, I thought this was over... There are no harsh feelings held for me. I have immensely endless respect for Blasto trying to improve himself. If only the rest of the world were as upright as the great ones who share themselves on this forum. _/\_

Sexual Attraction and Stretching by Meditation

In my experience, it does have to do with energies. And it's powerful. Jing? Qi? I don't know. Whatever energies they are, impact the look on our face, the way we carry ourselves, etc...yes...but I don't think having a certain look about you is what causes the attraction. It's the chemical/physiological/magnetic/whatever else that causes it. -
Secret Wu Dang Red Dragon Microcosmic Orbit

At least what I heard on the audio was different in many ways from the version of RD that I was taught. About half of it is similar, the other half isn't. So, I consider it to be a different method. -

Winn's method is Wudang pearl. Kind of similar, but not the same as RD. -

Oh, nice! I didn't see those before. Yes, it seems to me now that those 3 practices should be considered separate. -

Thanks to a fellow bum for allowing me to be able to check out Winn's audio! It's not really the same thing (at least on the audio), although Winn also learned it from Max. -
9 Palaces qigong from Baolin Wu? If so, it says in the book that the practice isn't good for some people. I would discontinue it if I were you.
-
Friend, I have the book and could share the passage, but I'm not sure which one you're speaking of?

My comment wasn't intended to make you think of workshop hoppers. It was intended to make you think that it's wise to learn from multiple sources, to compare and contrast, as you practice the methods of your chosen school for years.

I really like the upward moving prana tsa lung exercises in this book. It's from the Bon tradition.
-
Really interesting, al.
-
I definitely think both are the case, at times. I think these things could be written about in a very clear way.

apepch7, Sure. Here is an example: "The waters in the human body are these: the four seas, the five lakes, the nine rivers, and the three islands. These are some of the names that have been given to them: hua-chih (Radiant Pool), yao-chih (Green Pool), feng-chih (Phoenix Pool, t'ien-chih (Celestial Pool), yu-chih (Jade Pool), k'un-chih (Pool of the K'un-lun Mountains)...." (page 65 in Tao of Health, Longevity and Immortality) Etc.
