When I first read the Seth material like 10 years ago I found it very interesting. A week or two ago I looked at it again, and it's even more interesting. I don't usually like "channeled" stuff, but oh well...some of the ideas are brilliant.

Yup, especially with the "karma" comment. Anyway, best wishes to you.

How does Taoism explain the existence of evil?

Yup. -
Ooh, I love hints! It makes me feel like I'm begging for scraps from my master. But in order for him to teach me a lesson about being a dog, I don't get the scraps. (No personal offense intended. I know it's hard to share.)

How does Taoism explain the existence of evil?

I like a few of the replies so far... I think people second guess too many things, in an attempt to be correct. It's simple. Evil is what causes regret and harm to anyone. Who cares what Taoists think? Don't follow the herd. You know. We are humans, and therefore shouldn't take an inhumane view of right and wrong. Too much philosophy! -
I think for someone who is practicing energy work, if you feel strong emotions it means that a blockage is being opened. If you process the emotions (like, by breathing), it turns into pure flow and a more open heart, as well as body...more connection with all things. If they are unprocessed, life will be hell (where I'm at today ). Also, there's a quote I have in my personal practice area which says something akin to...if you neglect the mind and spirit, only working on the body, your energy will destroy you. At least personally I can attest to this...your emotions become greatly amplified at times, and without an effective way to release, it's...not good!

This little guy doesn't seem to like it, either.

Awesome that you've found a way to heal yourself. Check this TCM site...it might help you make more connections... http://www.itmonline.org/5organs/lung.htm Something in addition that I think would help when the unwanted thoughts are arising is: Smile and lift the cheeks (so that it subtly opens the nose, which is a connection point of the lungs...also kind of stimulates the acupoint under the nose which calms the spirit, as well as many other things) Breathe deeply and evenly (relaxes the mind, and lung is obviously related to breathing) and gently close the anal sphincter (also a point, "po gate", related to the lung) on the exhales. Just basic breathing practice to calm the mind. Just a suggestion for another practice to try. Especially good this time of year, coming into the fall.

I guess I just don't care enough whether he's lying or not to invest any energy into it.

What if you're wrong, and this is actually an honest person just sharing their path? It doesn't seem to me that they are trying to get followers or anything. For the record, I think judging people as "pervs" when they're simply normal people (like Drew tends to do here) is wrong. We're all energy vampires of some sort unless we're pretty spiritually advanced...we all influence each other. Also, I think all of us are seasoned spiritual people...it's our nature as human beings. Some have more knowledge than others, but everyone's experiences are legit. So basically:

Personally don't care for any form of it.

Thanks White Rabbit, How did you use them in this way? How did you learn that way? It's all good if it's too private of info to share, just curious. What do you think is a way to reverse it? Interesting. Could very well be true! I know it is for berserkers.

Awesome! I've looked into jin shin jyutsu a little bit and it is good. Do you know the "fatigue flow" mudras for it?
-
Oh yeah, there's also a bit of off topic discussion on the nordic traditions at AYP.

Very good point, and a truly healing bandage pictured. Thanks, Mal. _/\_

Very nice to hear your story, and also to know that you are doing better now! If you don't mind sharing, what did the man tell you to practice?
-
Whoops, I probably should have not been skipping that class.

You don't usually see women doing this, so this talent was fun to find:

Nah I don't believe it, I was just making light of the discussion.

But at the time because the poles hadn't yet shifted and changed the atmosphere there was much less gravity, so giants were actually the norm. They predated cavemen. The first pyramid was built to stimulate the polar shift and bring a heavier atmosphere so that the nephilim could walk the earth instead of rebounding, and more easily have intercourse with the cavemen, whose offspring would overthrow the weakened giant population.
-
I won't interpret anymore besides giving that possibility. Our past is mysterious!
-
About the giant-building-the-pyramid vision...like dreams, it is most likely just symbolic of energies at the time and not a remembrance of a real/physical past life. I'm sure everyone has considered this already.

Did you end up checking it out Little1? I do agree that "crappy practices" can prove to be rewarding.
