Agreed. And I don't even like cats.
  2. Third Eye

It is interesting how animals aren't scared/tend to follow you around when you practice. What's weird is that I've read shamans don't go on hunts because they scare the animals away. Maybe it was just superstition, or maybe shamanism is different than alchemy. Oh well, off topic anyway.
  3. Guiness

Drew, what is your purpose for fasting on beer?
  4. Third Eye

This happened for me when I was a kid, but it wasn't all animals. Just one: a white lab (named liberty) which belonged to a neighbor, which seemed to be teaching/guiding me about life when I was around the age of 3-5. It was like an old wise person. I don't know if the communication was in English, because I was so young, but I understood it as if it was in English...as if the dog were just another human being. Also it would protect me from the neighbor's other dog, a black lab (named justice), by fighting it. Crazy symbolism. My point in sharing this story...opening the third eye does weird things to perception. Lapis lazuli light to all!
  5. Guiness

What does it mean that it increases your jing? It's also one of my favorite drinks.
  6. Enlightenment and the Hermit

What an understanding wife. Nice to hear personal stories.
  7. Enlightenment and the Hermit

    I disagree.
  8. Third Eye

There are different ideas out there, but the one I liked from Healing with Form says that throat to crown is earth element, heart is space, navel is fire, secret chakra is water and wind is through the whole body (or maybe solar plexus). There is something to be said about the third eye being related to the heart, though.
  9. Military Training

They really accomplished something in life.
  10. Wasp's Nest

On the other hand, maybe they are good feng shui.
  11. Cold Water Therapy (Fascinating!)

Well, first I get blue ice shipped from a global warming digging site in Greenland, which they estimate to be 200,000,000 years old. I figure the water must have been better at that time, because there wasn't any pollution and Pangea still was around. Then I heat up the ice by practicing tummo on top of it in a kiddie pool. It starts boiling and melts any plastic kiddie pools, so if you're going to try this, be sure to invest in a metal kiddie pool. Now it's usable water, and tastes strangely like mastodon and pterodactyl piss, so then I filter it through a top secret filtration method which takes out all prehistoric impurities and draws upon the powers of Uranus to energize it. Next, by practicing bummo I create an internal vortexing snowstorm which shoots out of my huiyin spontaneously giving everyone in my apartment complex triple orgasms, which then causes them to go into triple rainbow body and cause all 'shroomers within a 100 foot vicinity to start crying. The local news is wondering what's happening, but it doesn't matter, because at least the 'shroomers are enjoying the breathtaking sights. I don't know where my neighbors went, though! Anyway this process cools off the liquid, and also creates random hailstorms for some reason. So I need an umbrella. Then I open up my pores to ingest the pure sattvic energies of my special sauce, and I go for 1000 years without eating food or drinking any water. After all of that, I tend to go sit underneath the shower and let the tub fill up as I breathe. When the river gets colder I will go dunk in there.
  12. Enlightenment and the Hermit

Oh, then we're in agreement. I meant them as the same thing.
  13. Military Training

I don't see how joining the military is advancing in life. If you live in a big city, go find the homeless people and ask if they were in the military. Most were. They don't know how to live because they don't have anyone barking orders at them, and they have learned to live in the worst possible conditions so the street is no problem. The pentagon has also probably screwed them over. Researching on oneself about spiritual alchemy, energetically healing one's own parents (upgrading your contribution to the gene pool) and others, sharing everything you know with like-minded people (us)...I don't see how that's something to be frowned upon. That is a passionate and fulfilling life. That is advancing our world. Becoming an alcoholic, a smoker, fat, who swears too much and is racist/misogynist, who has PTSD, who lives in an ugly ranch style house, stocked with guns, who yells at Fox news in an attempt to change the political situation, praying to God that all other-colored-skin-people die and that Hummmerrriicaa stays at peace, sitting on the front porch watching cars go by for hours (most veterans are like this)...I don't see a person like this as accomplishing anything with their life. They are stuck. They are passionless, and wasting oxygen, waiting for their time to go.
  14. Simple Girl

I'm sure since she's windblown she will leave just as soon as she came. That's too bad...I really like the wind.
  15. Enlightenment and the Hermit

It's not necessary to go into retreat and leave society.
  16. Military Training

The US military in cooperation with Afghan forces actually pinpointed Bin Laden's location once, and were told to stand down by the higher ups. If I had a link to the story I'd share it, but I try to stay away from this stuff.
  17. Simple Girl

I know!! True Taoists use their hands to drink, and they don't learn how to swallow because it's too dualistic. Actually I take that back...they just open their mouths when it's raining out. Using your hands isn't wu wei enough. *says as he sips sweet tea from McDonalds*
  18. Simple Girl

    Yea it's way too complicated!
  19. Simple Girl

That sounds too complicated for me. I have no sunflowers, and it's usually sunny where I am. The only things I drink are tea or pure water.
  20. Position Statement

Marblehead, Because I have chosen to let go of my past, you are forgiven.
  21. Cold Water Therapy (Fascinating!)

Yes, I think if you go in with a "martial" attitude, it can take away from some of the benefit.
  22. Cold Water Therapy (Fascinating!)

In my opinion, cold water therapy is the real deal. It is something I treasure. Including the video because it's beautiful and motivational...
  23. Military Training

I would miss such an informed Observer.
  24. Military Training

    I agree.
