  1. having integrity and still getting laid

Oh, well I apologize for using it.
  2. having integrity and still getting laid

Men of "integrity" getting "laid". You know why it doesn't work? Because those two words don't belong in the same sentence. Guys who "get laid" are the type that have no integrity. They are the type of fish that squirm down the stream, half of the time belly-up. They feel the need to go do this because they have no backbone. Society says, "if you don't get laid you're not a man...you're a pussy...you're gay..." Guys who strive to be good, they are the ones who constantly go against the current. They say "screw society", and they do what they think is right. Now, which type is an example of strength? Is it good to pick up some girl you just met and bang her? It's not even enjoyable sex most of the time. It'd be better if you had real chemistry with someone, and there was trust between you two. Some think that girls only go for the guys who float downstream belly-up. Well, you should probably go out and meet more girls, because the ones who do that have no self esteem. Weak fish relate to weak fish. There are a lot of fish in the sea. What type do you want to be with? Make yourself into that type. Develop your character.
  3. Neigong

Thanks Vortex for those quotes. I had never read the Magus of Java. It's apparent to me now that Mo Pai is a unique system, and that the 72 levels don't apply to other traditions.
  4. Could anyone share a sufi meditation?

I was checking out that site the past couple of days. Very interesting info! Was apprehensive about Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani, I don't know why, something about him, but it could just be because he is very powerful. Seems you don't need to be in person to be in his true presence!
  5. 100 days laying the foundation

Vortex, Interesting...I didn't think of it that way before for some reason. It would make sense that anytime you have morning wood is an ideal time to cultivate. I don't have the book on me but I think somewhere in Embryonic Breathing it talks about the way the energy of the body tends to flow in the orbit throughout a day...at around midnight it is primarily "at" the huiyin which connects the front and back channels. Anyway, who knows!
  6. anyone a member of theoccult.bz?

EDIT: nevermind, I just realized this was a file sharing site...I thought it was a private discussion forum for some reason.
  7. Energy Circulation in Standing Meditation

WallaMike, Energy flow is restricted due to the condition of the mind. So I have two things that you can do... 1) Stand for longer than you like. If you don't have leg injuries, start out standing for half an hour at a time. Then keep increasing the amount of time up to an hour. Disciplining your body to do something your mind/emotions don't want to do is a great way to break the mind. Then energy is released, because the mind that has held your body in-tension is momentarily destroyed. The tension then melts and you experience the flow. 2) As you're standing, gently and evenly breathe in and out. Keep your attention on the physical sensations of movement within your belly. The attention will always want to wander around, but by bringing it back you are once again disciplining the mind. At the same time, you're developing the dantien which will increase the energy flow. It's enjoyable to feel your energy flowing, but that isn't the point. It's actually a trap to be looking for something to happen...better to practice these methods with no expectation...and when something is happening, to not think that it's time to quit practicing the method. Feeling energy is no big deal. What's more important is what you do with it.
  8. Beginner question about MCO

It's such a dense book...can always go back and (re)learn something new. Consider that the first chapter is about "fixing spirit in its original cavity"...
  9. What is your favorite Qigong System and Why?

I recommend Rubbo's Primordial, especially for your goals. It's cheaper, and also is more accurate than Winn's version. A complaint in the past was that it's hard to learn from an ebook, but Rubbo just came out with videos showing the entire form on youtube. You could essentially learn it for free, but I think there is good detail in the ebook. The form takes about 20 minutes to perform. That is not much time at all.
  10. Practicing morality

Meditation gives you a taste of inner peace. It's easier to get over addictions when you've experienced that. No one is perfect and I kind of agree with ralis...it seems a lot of traditions use morality as a way to keep you on the outside.
  11. 100 days laying the foundation

In Taoist Yoga, they say to do this from 11pm-1am, since at this time you can best work on the MCO with the breath.
  12. Hua Shan climbed!

    Really fun!
  13. Heart qi gong

I hope you go to one that does take your insurance.
  14. blinded by meditation?

I think it can be because your 'third eye' is strongly activated, and your physical eyes are drawn back as if sleeping. It's normal and good for this type of practice. The strong static sounds are also because of this. After a while they stop happening so much, or possibly go away forever... If you ever feel dizzy or nauseous, go for a walk and make sure your energy goes to your lower dantien. You can put your hands on your belly to help. Dizziness would mean there's way too much energy in your brain and it can cause problems. That shouldn't happen with small universe, because your attention should be all over the body... But otherwise, just take your time when finishing the practice and you should be okay. At the same time, trust your instincts on this...it's hard to tell what's happening with someone from words on the internet. If something feels wrong, take it slow and easy! You can also do the exercise "beating the heavenly drum" which can be found on google, to help the energy flow better. Peace.
  15. Karate Kid

    I liked this one.
  16. Shaktipat

It isn't useful to trash talk a spiritual person's spirituality. You are offending the deepest part of their soul, which they have worked on for years. Also, it isn't helpful to say, "everything is crap except the secret stuff that I practice". Who cares! We care about our own progress, not yours.
  17. Shaktipat

Interesting about other cultures showing up...I don't know much about kundalini, but I discovered an inner connection with Japanese traditions for some reason. Oh yeah...also had some Native American, and Egyptian things occurring...
  18. Heart qi gong

You should go get your heart checked out by a doctor just to be sure.
  19. Evil Warlord/Neigung

    Bring it!
  20. Zhan zhuang

I agree, Mattimo. I should not have given the impression that he was practicing incorrectly.
  21. Zhan zhuang

Standing should make you feel more energetic, not more tired. If you feel tired, don't do practices. Rest. If you're still tired, look at other things that could cause it... At a higher level of zhan zhuang, it becomes more effortless, with energy easily flowing and integrating your whole body and beyond.
  22. Hi Everyone

Hi, welcome. I will be interested to read about any of the things you study.
  23. Flys are Taoist Masters

    Definitely. It's a great thing.
