How far has it gone for you?

Wei wu wei just means you aren't sloppy in what you do. An example could be a great painter. They don't need to focus on how to mix paints, how to use a brush, or how to portray their mental image to the canvas...they just do it and it flows through them. Laziness would mean lack of flow, which is the opposite of wu wei.

Saw something similar about a month ago during a tornado warning. -
Agreed.

Alot of blocked negative chi on my throat...
Aetherous replied to dnice's topic in General Discussion
Focus on physical exercise. Massage your shoulders. Trying to move energy away from a congested area can have the reverse effect of keeping the area congested. The neck can be tricky to deal with... -
Actually, I think you're onto something. Not even joking.

Good write up, Gold. I disagree with that part, though. 1) Yes, you can "become an immortal" by doing practices. 2) It's not possible for a mortal to stop intending to be a mortal and become immortal (but you already said that, by saying it must come from immortal intent).

It's very possible. I did it once a few years ago. The beginning is tough (withdrawal for a few days to a couple weeks) then gradually you feel better. Are you also talking about natural sugars, like in an apple, for instance? That would be challenging! What would you be able to eat, besides meats?

A simple solution is that every reader should understand how necessary it is to take every answer with a grain of salt, no matter the source. Only in our own experience can we find what's true. If you have a yahoo answers thing, the number of votes determines what is the "best answer". It may be a wrong answer, but it's what most think is correct.

Peace to you, Jonathan. Welcome.

I like the new clips. To be honest, in my limited experience, I haven't seen many people with greater skill.

Since cat seemed disappointed, and I probably unintentionally insulted Marblehead earlier on... The best information I've found in order to understand Taoist immortality is in the introduction of Eva Wong's Tao of Health, Longevity and Immortality. The book is very good for learning a lot about Taoist alchemy and immortality. My understanding after reading the text is that all distinctions (types of immortals, definitions of immortality, etc) are confusing for no good reason. It's like drawing a picture in the sand and labeling that sand as "one" then drawing another picture and labeling that as "2"...it's all sand. I guess I approach it from too much of a "keep it simple stupid" point of view. It kind of seems like it's written in a way to keep people busy and distracted, instead of actually getting there... So that is why I didn't care to comment earlier...I prefer to just practice and not deal with so much theory. What to practice (for those who don't already)? A simple thing anyone can do is get Yang Jwing Ming's Embryonic Breathing book, and you have the best introduction to one of the best practices around...natural and reverse breathing!

I disagree, and am happy not dealing with this topic.

I was referring to this post by Starjumper... And about how a Taoist achieves immortality...well, by doing Taoist practices.

Someone did answer him.

Philosophical-Taoism versus Practical-Taoism. All that needs to be said.

When it's a conscious act, then yes!

I once browsed through a book on astral vampirism. It was really disturbing stuff, due to how effective it seemed, and also to the attitude it cultivated in the serious reader... Blessings and peace to anyone who ever desired to learn from that book...

Increased flow, letting go, peace of being. I'm not skilled enough to harmonize specific symptoms quite yet.

Who cares! Just make the forum and see if it turns into something good.

Jin Shin Jyutsu is amazing...I keep coming back to it to learn more. Really works if you know how to do it. The best thing I've found is this book. It's cheap and contains the keys for your own discovery (it's very simplified). It says in that book that the 26 places on either side of the body are used to correct the flow of the MCO. Don't know about the ancestral points...just wanted to share about JSJ.

Awesome! Puerh is said to benefit the spleen, and reduce dampness.

That's normal. It is just the elements of the body circulating naturally. It is good to be that relaxed...normally people don't notice the flow because they hold so much tension. But it's important to keep your attention in the lower dantien (behind the navel), because energy making your head spin is bad!
