I should have been specific. I was wondering if Kum Nye is the same as the practice presented in this book... http://www.amazon.com/Yantra-Yoga-Tibetan-Movement/dp/1559393084

Welcome Tomyuri, You might want to make that picture below your posts a little smaller.

Does anyone know the difference between Kum Nye and "Yantra Yoga"? Thanks.

Hey Cosmiken, What I'm about to say won't help you directly, but... the problem is that you're trying so hard. You've already got "it", but expecting something other than this is causing the pain. So really there's nothing you can do, because there's nothing to do. But it can also help to do Taoist practices. Anyway, peace and best of luck to you! I think you will be fine!

Tired of talking/accumulating techniques, now it's about the being/doing

This is a good thread...thanks for the motivaSHEN! -
I meant something more along the lines of transmitting the proper technique of a practice, etc. For instance if you are doing a visualization practice, a flash of insight can occur about the right way to do the visualization, as a result of being around the teacher. and... I meant resonance with a spiritual teacher's state, as apepch7 was talking about on the first page:
-
Agree with this!
-
I don't know if you included the "resonance" type of transmission in that summary...was that the "higher being" one? Also, passing along information psychically...that is probably included under number 3...but sometimes it may come from within and not from a teacher...

It's good...keep practicing!!!

Both types of medicine rock at times. Throwing out Western medicine is completely ignorant.

So true...

Getting lost in thought and belief isn't worth much.

Hi Alchemical Wizard, You might want to check out the book Taoist Yoga by Charles Luk. I still refer to it after like 11 years of owning it. You won't be able to practice effectively from reading the book alone, but it is a good source of info.

If you're feeling dizzy go for a walk until you feel normal. Tai chi shouldn't make you feel dizzy. If it keeps making you feel that way, don't practice it. Find another version or something. Watermelon is good to cool you off.

Hugo thanks for that recommendation...very nice.

I've used tennis balls in a sock before to achieve still point, but this product is much better. I highly recommend it as a tool for health and well being. http://www.becalm.ca/

A way of helping you progress quicker in your practice. "Transmission" can refer to many different things. There are ways unique to the different systems of practice. I don't think it's good to go out and get every transmission there is, thinking you will progress a lot that way. That is just a way to waste a lot of time, and perhaps your money. What's more important is practicing something good, and being able to do it yourself! You don't have to rely on others for your own progress. Buddhists say we all have buddha nature, Christians say we are all children of God, Taoists say we all have essential nature which is of the Tao...

I think they charge $15 shipping for everyone. Pretty annoying.

Ah yes, I forgot about the backroller! I will try that. So yesterday I just tried craniosacral therapy (in combination with visceral manipulation) for the first time. It was very powerful for me! Released so much (lingering problems from atlas profilax) and totally balanced me out. I stood (zhan zhuang) effortlessly for like half an hour when I got back home due to being so balanced...something that isn't so common for me. I mention this because the stillpoint inducer originally came from this therapy.

Once again the self-proclaimed arahant declares his superiority over the masses, to the masses. And once again, no one cares. -
Yeah! I love to smile and sigh.
