Hello Oleg, I think both of these views are true. MESHUGGAH!!!
  5. Yang transfer overkill

Sorry I offended you MnM, it is just my opinion. Nothing personal in saying your energy isn't pure...I would say the same to anyone who gets rid of hot energy by putting it in someone else. Peace.
  6. The Amazing Liver and GallBladder Flush

Trunk, I look forward to seeing what you think when you've done the cleanse.
  7. Yang transfer overkill

You were not using pure yang energy...you transferred some of your sick energy to her, which includes anxious feelings. It's bad to play around exchanging energy with others...not good for you (because you get drained) or them (because they get your latent illnesses).
  8. Too much Hot energy in the Dantian

Hmm...well it could be a nerve problem having to do with the spine. I would go see a sports medicine physician...not a regular doctor! You will have better luck with actually getting a good diagnosis. Before you go, write down all of the symptoms you have...just in case you forget about something important while you're there. It could be nothing...who knows. It's common that if you put your attention or breathe into the dantien that the area gets hot, but what you're describing sounds different. Good luck!
  9. say halo to comunity

Hello Tio San! Welcome to taobums!
  10. Lachrymology & unicursal hexagram

There is something to be said for those types of practices. They force you to let go. It's as if pieces of your old self are falling off each moment that you decide to keep going, and what's left is a purer you. Personally I like to use running for this purpose. And also chewing on garlic cloves for as long as I can stand it (which by the way, are good at creating tears!).
  11. Meditation question

Falling within yourself and feeling like in a large space...that I can relate with. I think it's a great sign.
  12. Lachrymology & unicursal hexagram

Something interesting about the album name "Aenima"... The word is a combination of: enema (cleaning the crap out of you) combined with anima (the feminine Jungian archetype of the soul). From wikipedia: In broad terms, the entire process of anima development in a male is about the male subject opening up to emotionality, and in that way a broader spirituality, by creating a new conscious paradigm that includes intuitive processes, creativity and imagination, and psychic sensitivity towards himself and others where it might not have existed previously. So the album title really could be exactly about that process you describe...of hearing a song, or recalling a memory which moves you, and allowing the purging process (for instance crying) to take place. Crying open my third eye.
  13. Lachrymology & unicursal hexagram

I love Tool...ever since I heard Aenima in 1998 or so. That cd is one of the best ever made, in my opinion! A quote from the first link... This is similar to the recent discussion on the crystal ball practice from the book Taoist Yoga.
  14. Moods following meditation

Different traditions have different effects...in one sense, it is good that these things are coming to the surface. Feeling withdrawn and agitated is something worth experiencing. More important than pushing forward with more meditation, is experiencing it. Also, I think AYP suggests that you rest afterwards when you feel this way. Savasana is good. And as soaring crane said...AYP may not be good for everyone, so that is something to consider...

  16. Cool topic. It's funny how much folk magick is actually integrated into everyone's lives, no matter what they believe/know/etc. It is a very human thing...it's just living in accord with the way things are, and the way we are. For instance, at my parent's house (they are purely Christian), we have statues and figurines of animals...like bears, turtles, birds, etc. Why? Who knows the reason my mom puts them up...but regardless of that, they symbolize different feelings to us. For instance, the bear can represent being protected, and a calming influence. Birds represent a feeling of being carefree...we feel more connected to the earth with these animals around us. Without them, a home is less "lively". Nature...life... We have signs on the way into the house saying "bless this home and those within" etc. Basically the same effect as a Tibetan prayer wheel...where the wish is sent anytime you look upon it. The colors my mom uses to decorate are basically of the elements...gold, red, black, white, etc. Essentially as a people we tend to decorate in the way that makes us feel best (unless we are completely out of touch with our feelings). We do landscaping to connect with nature, so we don't always have to journey into the depths of the woods to feel at one. As a country, most of our holidays are basically "pagan". Think of the immortal Christmas tree, with the pole star above...that has nothing to do with the story of Jesus. Even the days of the week - many are named after the "gods" or otherwise heavenly bodies. Moon day. Tiw's day. Woden's day. Thor's day. Freya's day. Saturn day. Sun day. As for old remedies...chicken soup is typical. Warm milk is another thing... We tend to get together in the backyard, drink beer and cook meat over fires...a way of connecting back to our roots, as hunters and part of a tribe/clan/group of families, celebrating the kill. It is obvious to pretty much anyone that when you go for a walk in the woods, or take a dip near a waterfall, or in a lake, you are deeply rejuvenated...we don't consider these types of things as superstitions, because we aren't thinking in terms of the old religions. We just get the effect and it is what it is. It is the way of life.

    Tse Mudra
  21. Sabretooth, Why are these people your enemies? How do they get funding from businesses?
  22. I don't think so...it's just about "baby steps". Focusing on the first task, getting it done, and moving onto the next, until the goal is reached. ... What motivates me? Exploring the way of all things. Hopefully helping myself and others. Knowing that others are more advanced than me...makes me want to beat them in the spiritual race or something!
  23. What results are you looking for? That's the key thing here.
  24. Wan Qi Kim aka Meditation Mantra?
