  1. Well Non, I gotta be honest, that sounds like a shitty point of view!
  2. Right Brain and Tao Practice

5ET, It inspired me so much, that I was searching for the right flute ever since you posted that. Finally today I got my shakuhachi in the mail, and it sounds amazing. So thank you for sharing. I got it from this shop...if anyone else is interested in her flutes, you might want to ask about getting a well tuned one before purchasing. Some of the ones she is selling are a little off. http://www.etsy.com/shop/savagedryad
  3. It's not an all or nothing approach. You don't give up spirituality for sexuality. With Taoist methods, you have both at the same time.
  4. Refine by going up, replenish by going down.
  5. Well that's what they were trying for with the cosmodic scenar. I owned the cheapest one for a while...it seemed powerful, but the scanning wasn't precise enough, and that is essential to having it work. (It would have been helpful to have precise measurements of reactive spots, instead of just a sticking feeling and three LED lights. Then you could better tell which was the best spot on the body to use...and then the results could either show if it was a really good device or not. It would have also been good if the metal area was adjustable, to reach different sections of the skin more easily.) Anyway... The problem with the meridians is that it's only one way of looking at the body...which is an extremely complex machine. There are many methods of healing, and not one magic bullet type. And the problem with treating the body only, is that the mind is really the culprit...
  6. Rolfing, Alignment, and Qigong

Well, Graston works more on muscle adhesions rather than blood stasis, etc. Different theoretical viewpoints behind the procedures. Plus, I think Graston goes deeper/harder. Personally, I think it's kinda BS. Graston is similar in principle to myofascial release techniques, which are probably more effective. A cool thing that's been popular recently is kinesio tape. I think that looks REALLY promising for posture work, but you need someone well trained and educated to apply it. Lots of Olympians use the stuff. Another thing is to consider proprioception in posture work...one exercise from Mary Bond's New Rules of Posture is to imagine and feel that your wisdom teeth (even if you don't have them anymore) are separating and returning to normal with the inhale/exhale. Another mental exercise I heard of was imagining your collarbones are blinking eyes. There is a lot of potential in these types of exercises to create better posture. Our Taoist practices should help, as well.
  7. Kundalini

Just a quick thought from me... I think "hell" in the dream world symbolizes that which you're avoiding, the unconscious parts of you, or something having to do with your power. It doesn't actually mean you are becoming evil or anything.
  8. Helping out a friend.

Well, what worked to stop me from being so loopy, was my friends and family always letting me know how weird I was being. Sometimes it was hurtful to hear, but it made a deep impact. Gradually, I changed. It's tough to come out of it, because fantasy is easier to manage and seemingly more exciting than reality.
  9. Letting Go

The problem is that you're already there, and when you try to get back there, you're just adding more to what's already there, so it seems as if it's not there. Enough philosophical talk for me. EDIT... For a suggestion about what to do, I say just practice! Your practices should help you let go.
  10. Letting Go

You're trying, which is the opposite of letting go.
  11. Collection of facts

I feel the mural is not a big deal. The way it was presented in the video was very misleading.
  12. Collection of facts

Agreed, Mikaelz. I looked more into the Denver International Airport mural, and it doesn't seem so bad. The horse is really ugly though.
  13. How can I increase my learning capacity ?

Spend all day at the library going over the material, bringing in simple healthy meals to eat, or having them in your car if it's not allowed in the library. At the end of the day, reward yourself somehow.
  14. Why I am against 'powers'

There's no need to defend against everyone here, Jane!
  15. Ohm my goodness, sweet forum...

Hey man. First of all thanks for saying this is a sweet forum. I agree with you! Also...Cam teaches Kunlun in Seoul! You can see his name and email here... http://www.primordialalchemist.com/facilitator.html
  16. Collection of facts

Wow, I am at the part about Denver International Airport. That is crazy!
  17. Round the World for Eighty Days

Wow, what a great opportunity! I hope you are selected Li Jiong!
  18. Why I am against 'powers'

Jumping in here... I actually think you are. But there are misconceptions about what the powers will be like. They are natural for everyone, and aren't a big deal. They are real. I hope people here can be happy...peace.
  19. David Ickes 'Moon Matrix'

    Sounds icky.
  20. Why Does Race Exist in Humankind?

Really interesting quote, Vortex! Loved it.
  21. Tao men attracting women.

Yes, "character"...that which every PUA has lost. You try to grasp water, and it slips out of your hand. You try to make yourself into a man, and you look more like an insecure little boy with no backbone. It's better to focus on becoming a good person. Brighten people's days...be friends with those who have social problems...fight for those who can't defend themselves...improve the world. Then you can be considered a man of character. In my opinion, trying to mix attraction theories with Taoism is just degrading Taoism. No offense intended to you personally.
  22. Naturopathic diet

Maybe check with your TCM doc to see if all of those things would be good...don't want to overheat you.
  23. Tao men attracting women.

Lao Tzu would stay away from the "Venusian Arts". Seriously.
  24. Naturopathic diet

Ah I see. Yes it could be something else in addition to diet. FYI, about headaches, there is a peer reviewed article published which shows that green tea and cinnamon together help reduce brain pressure. You could make homemade masala chai and substitute green tea for black...it's very good in the summer time to help release heat (it will make you sweat more), and the ingredients are all really healing (ginger, green cardamom, black peppercorn, cloves, tea, a little milk, a little sugar). Good luck!
