Here's a funny story, along the lines of what Kate said. When I was somewhere around the age of 17, I was staying up late one night watching the movie Barfly on TV. It's kind of a boring movie, and I fell into a half asleep state. That night was one of the most memorable spiritual experiences I've had, because this angel appeared in my basement. It was as tall as the ceiling, probably 9 feet, and its glowing wings stretched out to fill the whole room. The next day I was so intrigued. I had never heard that real angels were really tall, so I looked it up on yahoo (the popular search engine at the time). Found a little bit of info. Years later, at the age of 25, time: yesterday...I decided to watch Barfly again and understand what brought on that experience all of those years ago. Come to find out, there was a part in which an actress describes seeing a really tall angel in her room. Wow. So basically, I was subconsciously led on to experience that, and it wasn't a real visit, as I had kind of assumed all of these years.

Before the recent site change, there was a quote under the banner which said that this forum allows discussion of all spiritual paths. I think this still applies. It's nice to see your version of Taoism being represented here, but please know that the opinions of others are very much just as equally supported as your own.

Hey Ed, You can get the book and practice for 6 months, then attend a Refinement Course and train with Max personally. Another option (which I think is better) is finding a facilitator instead of the book. There are some in Italy, Germany, Norway, Sweden and France. I've met Sven and Jan from Germany and they are great people. It's better to train with someone in person, because they can help you progress in many ways, and also know safety measures. Another thing is that you can get the transmission and learn red phoenix (and many other practices which aren't in the book). Then after 6 months of training with someone (or only seeing them once), you can still go to Max. Enjoy!

Well, I notice a slight aphrodisiac effect as well as a very subtle kind of improved circulation. Don't know how to describe the energetic/alchemical effect it has, but it's definite and I can tell it's helpful for me. Haven't used it for a while now, but I would typically make tea with it, or sometimes just chew on it. It's relaxing to smoke, although not as tasty. People have said that they enjoy the smell of the smoke. I am interested to learn more about it.

I think these things are not such a big deal. They are natural occurrences, and most likely you already have experience in them without being able to recognize it. What you imagine they would be like is not what they actually are like. Another thing is, if you had these things manifest strongly, you may not enjoy your life as a result. For instance, reading what's going on with people can be very disturbing rather than something cool and fun.

She is saying those things, and I think it means "I love you and am having fun, but give me space!" She is very nice, and you should take the hints! Guess it's not time to settle down just yet. And is it ever? Life and love are challenges...it would become boring if it were ever easy! She is doing you a favor by not being boring. If she were boring, you'd end up dumping her...and then who would be the "evil" one? This is what I think: girls usually try to motivate us guys towards a better life. If you're finding your girl very challenging, it's because she knows that you need a challenge in order to step more fully into your role as a man. For instance, it's not manly: to be worried about getting your heart broken, to be considering dumping the girl that could be "the one" for you, desiring to use her so that you can have your good stable relationship, instead of caring about what she (the one you want to spend the rest of your life with) wants. Basically, you're not fully "cooked" yet and need more time in the "oven" before she is willing to give up her desires for you. You need more experience, and clarity in what you want/reality. I think she senses this about you, and is letting you know that as long as you're not ready, then neither is she. You're right...to propose to her or something right now, would be quite the risk. That's how I see it...but I'm also projecting quite a bit, so it's just something for you to consider. Maybe I'm wrong. Good luck and I wish you the best.
