I don't actually have a problem with you doing that. It's just not a healthy way to be...it doesn't help you in your own growth. But it's all good.

I have no problem with someone calling themselves anything. It means nothing about their attainment, or personal attributes. If it hurts anyone, it will mostly hurt them, because they have to live up to the title. What people do is important to me. Lama Tantrapa has a great internet talk show, with many famous and inspiring teachers/healers being interviewed. That's at least worthy of respect. Plus, he made his book (whether it's good or bad in your opinion) free on google, so that you can judge it before buying. That's also very worthy of respect. All in all, I've personally grown tired of the endless bashing on this forum. Not like I'm leaving...just saying, is it doing us any good?

Totally agree. Also, Baolin Wu says in his feng shui book that cats aren't good to have around.

Yeah, it doesn't work to tell people how it is. Effective communication is quite a skill! -
Interesting read. Have fun Make your own decisions...

Maybe the best thing to do is ignore it. If there's no one to fight, there's no fight. -
Not the past couple days, but last Friday was interesting.

Yeah but if everyone shaves their heads they are more aerodynamic, so their arms can be wherever they like. -
I don't see the significance of chewing on glass. Anyone can do it.
-
Athanor, Can you actually get it to spin with your "qi"? It sounded like you weren't able to in your first post.
-
Why would that guy... 1) Wear a mask 2) Listen to hillbilly music 3) Eat glass ?????

I think it is most likely just heat. Because heat rises, yet it also radiates. Also, gravity is stronger pressing downwards than sideways so that is a reason why the paper doesn't rise up.

I am not a fan of pushups. Someone said "there must be a reason why militaries around the world use them." Yes...that reason is to make the soldiers weak while becoming physically strong, so that they can be more easily controlled. On somewhat of a metaphorical/psychological level, for a fighter, this position is a very weak one... When you're doing a pushup, your neck (your spiritual connection, or even your connection to your ability to think) is being strained to stay upright (by the position you're forced to not be an upright person/to be sideways), and your eyes aren't level with the ground to be able to see effectively. You are forced to look down (like someone lacking confidence), and to even look up and make your eyes level with the ground is a strain. Your head is fully exposed to the enemy (so they can easily cut it off) and your arms (the way you engage situations in the world/or an enemy) are taken out of the equation, so you can't fight someone even if you could see them. "The way you engage the world" is fully taken up with the task of supporting your own weight, so you're incapable of handling much else...metaphorically as well as literally. Your toes, which normally are for skillful maneuvering of the feet, are bent so that you metaphorically can't walk right. Your feet, the tires of your vehicle, are rendered useless and you lose your connection to ground. Also, in primarily strengthening those specific muscles, you're damaging your posture and preparing your shoulders for injury. However if you use it as a part of a complete exercise program, it is good for you.

Thanks for sharing, yuanqi.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......for some reason I think the type of person who cares about that would never develop the ability. Why do I say that? Because I've never developed the ability.

Yeah the dragon master's ego has gotten the best of him. So has mine, and yours. ...Lets have tea?

Thank you Apepch7! This was extremely informative.

Running on the beach barefoot is a horrible idea. Great way to injure yourself. Done it. I think running is the healthiest workout there is. However: if you're overweight if you ever feel pain in your legs and keep going if you don't strength train the leg muscles (to protect the knee) if you don't do balance training etc...(could be a huge list) then it can injure you.

Yay Jim. Good for him. The best energy transmission comes from your own heart.

Jane, I just viewed it as him rubbing hard in some pressure points, which will in most people elicit a response. Someone doesn't need qi, or knowledge of NLP for that. Don't know if the technique has any value, and I'm not a fan of Clyman. Just saying that if people know what he's going to do and agree to the "treatment", then it's not like he is violating them.
-
That is interesting. Doing it faster does seem right...less boring.
-
No offense, but I do think it's projecting. The only way it'd be violating is if he did something they hadn't agreed upon earlier.
