  1. Leading Qi to the teeth

Well, a spinal cord injury could be a number of things...most of which are easier to heal and regenerate than teeth. Think about it this way...a person might break their leg and the bone will grow back, but if someone chips their tooth, does the tooth grow back? Also, the holding the ball posture is pretty good. If someone practices really good stuff (which works for them individually), they will have a more likely chance of healing whatever they want...however, it's not like guiding qi to the teeth or tapping on the gums is going to do it. The more important thing is to balance and harmonize all of your energies. Just my view.
  2. Six Yogas of Naropa

Cool...this may get me looking at my Bliss of Inner Fire book.
  3. Today I tried to live simply and frugally

Pack a sandwich so you don't have to go out and buy stuff.
  4. expectations creating our sensations...

I think what many experience are real effects, most of which are undesirable. To achieve the desirable, the best way is in creating that which we want to cultivate.
  5. macrocosmic orbit

Yes, I suppose that could be the reason! Thanks Mal.
  6. macrocosmic orbit

Question to everybody... I wonder why the small circulation is taught first. Why not just do the grand circulation at the same time?
  7. What are you listening to?

I really liked those first two, Marble!
  8. A third eye technique, anyone tried this?

    What do you mean, Tyler?
  9. What are you listening to?

You are recording some of your own music, Marble? Please share it!
  10. A third eye technique, anyone tried this?

I imagine that a person would sense the connection of all things.
  11. Leading Qi to the teeth

I don't meant to discourage you, but that would be a very advanced thing to accomplish! Things aren't so simple that, if you lead the qi to an area, it will heal.
  12. What are you listening to?

    Slightly older, but unforgettable...
  13. Breathing and feeling depleted

Hmm...losing energy... We are conduits. Sometimes it's good to lose our energy, so that new energy can come in. I don't think being tired is a sign of being depeleted of energy. It's just a sign of needing rest and relaxation.
  14. The Fourth Kind (MOVIE)

Interesting. I think even then, it may be leading. What about the subtle changes in a person's inflection? A person who is in a deeper state of mind can take any external cues (not just someone's words) and come up with something from the deep mind to match it. It seems to me that the subject will always be lead by the hypnotist if they're put into that suggestive state.
  15. macrocosmic orbit

For information on MCO, check out Yang Jwing Ming. I have his small circulation DVD, and it contains pretty good info...although there wasn't enough emphasis on how the mind should lead the qi, and you shouldn't be pushing your sensations around and having the flow be jerky, etc...
  16. The Fourth Kind (MOVIE)

    Definitely.
  17. The Fourth Kind (MOVIE)

Finally saw it. Interesting and freaky. Although I didn't like how they tried to say they were using actual footage...they could have pulled that off in a better way.
  18. What Is A Good Detox Plan?

What research exactly? I'm willing to be shown I'm wrong.
  19. What Is A Good Detox Plan?

Paul, Can of worms opened up! There are way too many points to individually respond to. I don't like arguing and wasting our time. It will be enough to say: I disagree with everything you've said. Seriously. It is pure misinformation. That puts you at a huge disadvantage... It'd help if you got your info from peer reviewed sources, instead of trying to connect the dots from info off of random internet sites and books. Done talking with you about this. Nothing personal, since I don't know you at all.
  20. A third eye technique, anyone tried this?

It would make sense...if you want to achieve what the teacher achieved, that you'd listen to what the teacher said.
  21. What Is A Good Detox Plan?

For your info, My advice comes from a proper education. College level courses in these subjects (nutrition, fitness, injury prevention, etc). It's simple...if running hurts, just do biking or something. But if running doesn't hurt or cause you problems, you should know that it's actually really good for you. ... Fasting is not good for you. Lots of people want to disagree with that, yet what is their "proper education"? Learning different fasting programs from unqualified people, and self experimenting? I'm sure that there are exceptions to the rule, but I haven't heard of any qualified nutritionists out there recommending fasting as a way to be healthy. This is because they use actual research. Most people "in the know" state that the body detoxes itself when it's healthy. It's designed to! I think Penn and Teller had a "Bullshit" episode on it. Check it out.
  22. What Is A Good Detox Plan?

If your joints hurt, don't run as much...however, running is the best activity you can do. In my opinion.
  23. What Is A Good Detox Plan?

Eat a small, balanced and healthy meal (including some meat, each day) with a lot of variety, every 3-4 hours. Basically: if you're hungry, eat until you're satisfied but never stuffed. Never stay hungry! Go running a lot (at least a half an hour per day), and do some moderate weight lifting to maintain strength. Wait at least an hour after eating to work out. If you have injuries that make it hard to run, then do some other kind of aerobic activity (biking, stair stepper, elliptical, etc). It's good to work out some time in the morning. Use a stress eraser later in the day. It really helps. You can't detox if you're all tense...the body self-heals when it relaxes, and a healed body detoxes naturally and without healing crises (where you get all run down and clogged with toxins). Go to sleep around 10 pm and you should generally wake up before the sun rises. Simple.
