  1. Agitated when people call me from training.

I think the best thing to do when you're feeling agitated is some intense physical activity...like punching a bag a lot, stomping around, yelling into a pillow a lot, hissing through your gritted teeth, tensing your muscles. These things help to process the anger. Ultimately, you have to deal with your family and people disturbing your peace...such is life, man! They will keep you grounded, and on the right path...and actually you are progressing fastest spiritually when you're in uncomfortable situations. Much faster than if you were in "peace", and letting all of your demons stay hidden.
  2. Anti Aging - The China Study

    DaoChild is right!
  3. Idio-Bum-Cracy

I love that movie. This forum is just like any other forum, and they've always been the same. There have always been trolls and people that don't search.
  4. It's unwise to start this sort of movement on this forum.
  5. What are you listening to?

  6. Yoga vs Tai Chi

    PM'd...
  7. Yoga vs Tai Chi

Mike, At least from what I know of the Mao shan stuff, it can be well blended with many tantric techniques. I've learned fire methods, and upward flowing methods. It just has to be done in the right way. The "heaven to earth" path that you describe, in my opinion, is just pointing to a more harmonious way of practicing. The way that true hatha (tantric) yoga is supposed to be done. Wei wu wei. I'd rather talk about this stuff one on one, with people who care (I know you do, but others reading don't), in a place that won't record what we're saying...hopefully this isn't taken as me debating or trying to prove you wrong. Just sharing my point of view as someone who knows the Kunlun aspects of Shangqing stuff.
  8. Yoga vs Tai Chi

These types of yoga classes are really bad for your energy. I was going to one for a while that I liked but ultimately had to quit. It's a good workout for those who aren't at all sensitive and like to beat the crap out of themselves.
  9. Oooo nobles dakas and dakinis!

    Welcome!!
  10. Shakti Blessings

Welcome! I like that women are coming together here! Makes the place seem a bit more balanced.
  11. Once a man can transmute, then anytime he is stimulated, his energy will rise without effort. Blue lily seems to help. However, what you do with the energy afterward, is what I consider to be important.
  12. The Moscow dragon

I thought the one directly to the left of the one Smile and xeno thought, in the dark shirt. Totally uneducated unpsychic guess.
  13. KAP

I liked silatgirl's post, and would take the KAP course if I had the moolah!
  14. Yoga vs Tai Chi

I certainly do. Not saying that about anyone else...only about myself. It blocks the ability to learn something new when you already know what you're talking about. And why would I be happy with the knowledge I have, when I could throw it away for something much greater?
  15. Giant Blue Spiral Over Norway?

It does look really fake. Next time I'll try to make my wormhole look more real for you. Merry Christmas Ape! Still looking forward to when your dvds come out.
  16. Giant Blue Spiral Over Norway?

Oh sorry guys, I was just astral traveling then decided to open a worm hole into another dimension. My bad.
  17. My experience with Chunyi Lin

Maybe some time. I'm nearly broke right now. No Minnesota meet up? If not, that's cool, it was just an idea.
  18. My experience with Chunyi Lin

Drew, I am like one of the very few people that enjoy your posts fully, and think that what you say is pretty accurate. It's winter break from school for me starting Friday. I had the idea this past weekend to drive over to Minnesota and meet up at a bookstore with you for tea and some conversation. How does that sound, man? Is there a nice Barnes and Noble or Borders by you? Other taobums are more than welcome! I will make a separate "Minnesota meet up" topic, if you're interested in doing this.
  19. Yoga vs Tai Chi

Sorry, nevermind what I said. It feels right not to discuss this stuff.
  20. Yoga vs Tai Chi

Fiveelementtao, This was my main disagreement with your post in the Kundalini thread... You are speaking very authoritatively...more so than anyone else. Dwai said "In my experience" and "this is my opinion", whereas you don't say those things whatsoever. Have you attained the end result in Taoism or in Tantra, to be able to say that they aren't the same? If you've not attained the end result in either discipline, then you're not an authority, and should also simply be saying "in my experience" and not claiming to know everything. I hope this doesn't come off as offensive or hostile at all...because I do respect you as someone older and more experienced than myself, and there is a kinship I feel, since we practice similar things. So no harm intended.
  21. Johny Chang/Liping Lotus position?

    Aha, good point.
  22. Johny Chang/Liping Lotus position?

I've attached a file of the picture of "John Chang" doing it.
  23. Insomnia caused by Chi Kung?

Standing is best done in the morning, because it generates a lot of energy. So does the stepping. The great taiji circle breath is okay for the evening, as long as you're doing it in the most relaxed and natural way. It'd be best if you practiced before 9 pm. I think it's essential to gather all of your qi at the dan tien after practice. Most important part of qigong, and sometimes that is all I do. You are doing some great exercises, but for your personal goals all you really need is dan tien breathing. "Calmness, relaxation, clarity of mind, and health"...yup it does all of those things.
