  1. is this safe?

The safest is awareness watching awareness and abandon release method.
  2. ..........

I don't think of you as a pedophile (unless you admit to being one). It seems clear to me that you were just discussing the topic. But posting a picture of the girls wasn't in good taste, in relation to this discussion. Many members here are parents, and you may as well be talking about one of their kids. And what if one of the parents of those girls somehow stumbled onto our forum and saw their daughter being discussed like this? That's highly offensive...to the point where lawsuits could come into play! I think people reacted strongly because this should be very obvious.
  3. ..........

    Agreed! What the f...
  4. It's not any of my business since this topic is about Spirit Fighting, but I think it's okay that others make rules about how to behave. Insulting others is a big waste of time, for multiple reasons. If you can't hold back the insults, then it's just a fact of life that you may not be accepted at certain places. In my view, it says something good about a person's spiritual training, when they feel it is necessary to enforce rules that help others be themselves (not worry about being insulted for saying something from their heart).
  5. What are you listening to?

  6. Connecting with my son

I was just reflecting on this the other day... Always place him as your first priority. Like if you're with your son and his cousin or something (when he is more grown up), always give things to your son first, or ask him to go with you somewhere first. Also, if you are giving something to your son for Christmas and he asks for something, get him that something even if it costs a bit too much...don't get him things he doesn't ask for. If he wants the bike, the bike is what he should have. I know this sounds like spoiling your child, but I think the connection between father and son is very important spiritually, and you should treat him exactly like you'd want to be treated if you were in his shoes. When you don't, it creates a chasm in his mind that is hard to overcome...deep in his subconscious, it's as if his higher self denied him time and time again. But if you always treat him well, his soul will be more pure and truthfully he'll be closer to his own attainment. Besides that...just you doing your own practices will strengthen the energetic connection. It doesn't have to be in the same room. Since he's your family and the closest part of you besides your own parents, the bond will be strong no matter what...plus then just being around you from day to day is enough to greatly influence him.
  7. Lama Dorje

Eh true. Can't help it man! Just wanted to say thanks.
  8. Lama Dorje

I have never liked surprises, and was actually in it for what you describe anyway. This will have saved me time...thanks again.
  9. five element alchemy

I think practicing reveals every answer, and knowledge from books or people is usually misleading.
  10. Haha...gangsta rap and crappy heavy metal. Stuff that gets your adrenaline going, in 4/4. The guys that played that were generally the ones to lose control and get the blood lust going. Not saying the music made them that way, but it did bring it out in them. Also besides music, a lot of guys tended to take stuff like Stacker 2...to be able to be alert on missions (because we went out in the night). That added to their aggression as well. I took that stuff once and was incredibly pissed off all day long for no good reason. Horrible feeling. Anyway you're right...war reveals a person's true colors. I understand different types of people much better now.
  11. Greetings

It's due to the nature of Tao...can't be grasped. Just enjoy the feel of your mind not knowing what to think about it. Welcome!
  12. Hey guys!

Welcome to the forum! You are cool!
  13. five element alchemy

It's balancing to flow through each posture for each breath, while doing the "one breath" (where you inhale and exhale the same without pauses inbetween)...like a simple moving qigong. It's good to "close down" after practice, by putting the hands over the navel...because it's true that the postures generate a lot of energy. That's one way of using the energy. Another way is K1. I think these postures may be good for clearing the organs, especially if you know the focus points. Not sure what you mean when you say cultivating the five elements...
  14. Howdy from Texas

You seem great...welcome to the forum.
  15. Maybe you're right. Or it could be that being around others tends to open us up more to our own feelings. Eh who knows? I don't.
  16. I get the same way during movies, whether with others or alone. Funny how movies can be more affecting than real life sometimes. My view is that it's best not to analyze or try to protect yourself when emotions arise. They are your own and not other people's.
  17. .

Thanks Josh. I like the article, too...can't believe I wrote it back then. How was I so smart????
  18. Shinobi

    I like ninjas too.
  19. I think qi and everything is very misunderstood...so I don't believe in it in the way people believe in it. Way to be difficult, right?
  20. The bullets aren't made of depleted uranium, but the ammunitions were. I'm not so sure that it's being done lately...but it was, to my knowledge, happening at the beginning of the occupation. But your point is very good...the pentagon, the president, and the higher ups of the military all don't give a shit about grunts. There is a lot of unhealthy stuff we have to deal with. What makes me sad is that people actually fall for the "being patriotic and serving your country is good" crap. Even my own parents...and they just call me a cynic that I try to tell them this stuff. Flags waving on beautiful summer days, smiling and fun parades, beer and brats. The fact is that being a soldier is not good, and people should know that. All of what America sees is a facade. To anyone that wants to join - don't. Value your freedom, and fight when it actually matters. Don't fall for the BS about having to fight over there so the war doesn't come here...it's not true at all. Okay rant over. About whether soldiers actually do really messed up stuff...yeah a lot of them have the capacity and wish to. American boys and girls aren't always good people, like we all want to believe. I have served with people who I think are horrible human beings. However, there are also many more good people who keep their heads and make sure things don't get out of hand. We always followed ROE. At least that's how it was in my old unit.
  21. Hello

Welcome to taobums! There are good people here.
  22. Lama Dorje

It's not a problem that you were commenting on my practice. I share it freely with others and especially like when knowledgeable people give me tips. I was sincere in saying thanks. I'll keep what you have said in mind, that it's too much forced intention. It seems the same way to me. Forcing the whole awareness into the heart isn't the same as surrendering to the heart! So thank you again for that new tip, and I will put it to good use.
  23. 3 dantien breathing

Breathing into the upper dan isn't a good idea.
  24. Lama Dorje

O, Thank you very much for your reply! It's the same answer and advice I got from Max and Chris. I put what they suggested into practice, and it's been working tremendously. To answer your question, I'm still getting a grasp on the surrendering to the heart aspect of the practice. I have been putting my whole self in the heart space...all awareness there. That may not be the best way to do it. It seems that there is a certain way to do it which can't be explained easily at all...but the results (expansion of energy body and emptiness) show when it's being done correctly. So...workin on that!
