  1. No. This is too philosophical. It doesn't change in the way you think. You still have to clean the house.
  2. If you let go of things, including yourself, you are still able to maintain yourself and your life. Thinking that letting go of yourself means leaving this world or becoming incapable is wrong. But go ahead and try if you think it's right, or even possible. It can be easy to stop taking care of yourself on the path. We are working on our goodness with spiritual practice, right? Well, our first priority before others is ourselves. Treat yourself good! So it's necessary to set up a discipline of how you take care of yourself. It's not so hard. Just get a little exercise. Eat balanced. Don't stay up all night. Socialize. Etc... If it just so happens that you slip out of this world forever, then so be it. Then there will be no rotting, and no home to lose, because those things will be gone and you will be elsewhere!
  3. Water style boxing

The video with the GM performing it is really impressive. What a weird (but awesome) form!
  4. Video- What is this Sword Form?

Interesting form! I hope someone knows!
  5. retention makes you gay

White Tiger, Just general. Sorry if I offended you somehow with what I said...
  6. Wuji Qigong and Wudang Hun Yuan Qigong

You're welcome! I agree, it would be great to have a DVD of him performing it.
  7. retention makes you gay

White Tiger, What do you disagree with and why? I was 1/4 of the way through a psych degree, then switched majors, so I know a little... Mantis, It could just be that you have more sexual energy so some natural tendencies are finally showing themselves, whereas previously those things were kept hidden due to constantly releasing the energy. Just a guess.
  8. TAI CHI KNEE

See a PT or athletic trainer to rehab your knees. Getting an internal arts instructor won't necessarily help you with your problem, it'll only help you become good at the art. You have to be able to perform the art first, though! Good luck.
  9. retention makes you gay

Wow there are a lot of these types of experiences, I guess! My own opinion is that if you're naturally feeling attracted to someone, then that determines your sexual preference. It's not a choice that you make! Of course labels aren't useful...we are complex creatures. Someone might be attracted to one guy, and be attracted mostly to women...are they bisexual? Who knows...too complicated. A large part of our society still despises homosexuality. So it can be scary to acknowledge that you have some homosexual tendencies. For many, it means a huge loss of respect from close family and friends...not good! I don't think denial is healthy. At least if you can admit to yourself that these things are within you, that's good. And you have the freedom to choose who you get involved with...so not a big deal to acknowledge that you have some tendencies. It won't change your life, except make you more honest and open. 10. Wuji Qigong and Wudang Hun Yuan Qigong

Hey Craig, I've only seen people doing Winn's version, not the actual video of him doing it. The ebook goes into detail on things that seem (at least to me) different from Winn's version. Check out these videos to see a little of this version of the form... GjpfhzcVB4U oaNpVB-wb88 It is enough to learn the practice from...although learning from videos or in person are much easier ways!
  11. retention makes you gay

Um, maybe you are actually gay... Personally I am always attracted to women. It's the natural urge. It's what makes me straight. If your natural urge is for men, then you are at least bisexual.
  12. Questionable Mak Tin Si Sect

    So true...
  13. Dr. Baolin Wu / White Cloud Monastery

I checked out some of his book on google books and was really impressed with the simplicity, and also a lot of info not being found anywhere else. Just ordered it!
  14. I swear I had nothing to do with it!

  16. Wuji Qigong and Wudang Hun Yuan Qigong

I just got this ebook... http://www.cultivatechi.com/home/primordial.html It seems more similar to actual taiji than Winn's form.
  17. Relationships and Practice?

I don't know, but some advice... Even though you're still a virgin and may be for a while, carry a condom with you all the time. Use it when the time comes NO MATTER WHAT. All problems in life come from not using a condom! Also, you'll meet better girls when you're older. When you get into the later years of college is when girls start to calm down...a little. When you find one that seems calm and balanced, don't take her for granted! Make sure she stays with you! Keep her smiling and laughing. Then you'll have a good life!
  18. In my opinion, real energy practices have the power to loosen the bonds of the mind, which can be mistaken for enlightenment. I personally define enlightenment as a shift in perception so that there's no self experiencing. But it's possible to experience expanded states of consciousness, where "you" still seem to be the center of the universe. That's not 'it'. Real enlightenment, in my opinion, is center-less. If you're witnessing a centerlessness, it's still not it... It could be said that no self is experienced in dreaming sometimes, or deep sleep, and in samadhi sometimes. But that's still not enlightenment to me. It's not - not experiencing a self. It's an explosion of the witness into all things...which is a bad description but whatever. So, energy practices might be cultivating a different kind of enlightenment than what I define. Or enlightenment might be a side effect of the practices. Or enlightenment brings about true energy work. Who knows...the way to find out is to practice and attain and learn the true effects. _/\_
  19. Kunlun follow up poll

If that is the case, then I apologize for being so sensitive. I must have misinterpreted what you were saying. Peace to you, too...no hard feelings kept. I didn't post this here, but to give an update: I'm into Kunlun practices again after taking a break for a few months. In my personal journal I came up with some dietary changes which help if anyone is having really noisy digestion. It may also be useful for other conditions that result from practice.

Thanks for the tip, 11:33! I am definitely going to try that!
  24. Everyone likes to feel happy and doesn't like to feel bad. So a morally good person is someone who makes others happy, and doesn't make them feel bad. It can get more complicated than that, and no one is perfect.
