Nice introduction, I like "being with being"...welcome. You must have patience, we're just a bunch of bums.

Well this is the underlying issue here. Irrational beliefs in demons that are always shifting. First Max is a demon, then he's not. Then you get an email that you're a demon, and you're unsure. Then Sai Baba is a demon, but he also has love so maybe only is involved with demons. If you're so unsure, perhaps there are no demons at all. Well, if you believe those two things, what happened to your wisdom? Well hopefully this has added some intelligence to the discussion about things that don't exist! Perhaps. Not in my experience.

Yep, there are so many versions...that's why it'd be great to see the original texts.

Is there a link to an actual translation of these?

What about other colors, like...violet? Gold?

Yep, true. You see a lot of old masters with what looks like pretty bad posture. Their skill might be great, but is it necessary to damage yourself? Maybe there's a better way to develop the same level of skill? FofBEedm80o There may be some energetic reason to it. Tucking seems (to me) to fill the lower dantien. I agree that it's a lot like the full lotus predicament...perhaps not as big of a deal, but the same idea. My opinion is that we should focus on our health first, rather than just push through without listening to the body. So if we're experiencing pain in our back or hips, maybe we're doing something wrong. I think opening the legs and feet, the kwa, unwinding the belly, developing proper posture and alignment, etc...should all be done instead of (what I consider) crude methods like tucking the pelvis. For health, the body should move freely like a little kid. There should be no pain, and no unhealthy habitual patterns. For skill in anything, the body needs to move as a unit in a specific way. Can we have both? I think it's possible.

I tend to think kundalini energy is different than the peaceful downward flow of Kunlun. At first, I thought they were different based on little experience. Then I thought they were the same based on more experience, but not enough experience. Now I think they're different, based on even more experience. Kunlun energy is...vast freedom and pure sweetness. This is just my experience...but if I were to recommend something to others it would be to surrender more.

Why do you believe everything Lin says, and everything people email to you? If you believe demons will follow you, they will. If you don't, they won't.

"This too shall pass." -
My opinion is that tucking the tailbone is just bad advice that has passed from teacher to teacher. I saw a Taiji book that advised to keep the feet parallel and allow the pelvis to float however is most natural. I think this is the best advice. When the feet are slightly turned outwards, the pelvis tucks too far underneath...and when the feet are too far in, the butt sticks out too much. Of course other anatomical abnormalities come into play too though. I think all internal teachers tend to agree to straighten the spine...it seems Esther's work does this in a healthy way. Her version of standing rocks, in my opinion! My experience with tucking the pelvis underneath is that it's too forced. There is the concept of "sung"...or dropping tension...that we have to keep in mind. If we're forcefully standing or doing taiji, how can we drop the tension of the body. The posture should be neutral and balanced, so that the tension sinks. I don't do taiji but this is my opinion based off of experience with zhan zhuang.

In addition to Karen, I will put in my two cents.... Esther Gokhale's book is great. Everyone should be doing it, in my opinion. Who knows if it'll straighten your spine, but I know for a fact that it will help greatly. The book is cheap, and totally worth it...so I recommend trying it out (in addition to seeing a specialist).

Ralis, Awesome! Yeah I am noticing some subtle shifts...I do feel a very subtle sense of wellness already. Thanks for trying it out and reporting back here....it made me want to try it even more. No, it wasn't the blonde as far as I know. Here is a link to the main article that many people reference, I think: http://www.circlesoflight.com/reality-creation/curse.html I forgot to mention... There is a reason why the "atlas evolution" guy is calling it something different. Apparently he was reprimanded for some reason by the Profilax folks, and decided to create his own tool...apparently some of the people that have gone to him didn't actually have a corrected atlas. So if you're near the area, go to an atlas profilax person instead, where they will use the actual tool and do it correctly. This is just what I was told. Also, I should mention that the training for this is EXPENSIVE. Wow. -

So the guy I went to in Ann Arbor, MI is actually a chiropractor. He's probably the only D.C. in the world that also does this....that's as far as he knows. His idea on why Atlas Orthogonal and other similar treatments tend to stop working after a year or so and get progressively worse is that: they use Xrays, instead of MRIs, which don't give an accurate enough view to show that the atlas is in place. If you tilt your head a little bit during the Xray, it will show up as your atlas being out of whack...then they make adjustments off of that faulty imaging and get it close, but not back in place. Someone who has had Atlas Profilax can show up as a luxated atlas because of this. And no one can afford MRIs....so.... Apparently just palpation, neck range of motion, leg length, and looking at the spine works just fine. The procedure was so quick. Just palpating on the neck behind the jawbone area...doing range of motion by turning the head. I felt a hard end feel (where a bone is stopping your motion) when turning left, and a soft one when turning right (where tissue is tight and is holding you from going further). Then there was the tool I wasn't allowed to see...he signed an agreement that no one would see the tool (I guess they're afraid it'll be copied). After the 30 second procedure, I noticed that turning both ways felt the same. Turning to the left had a little more range of motion. Apparently all the other tests were good. He gave me a free quick adjustment to my lumbar spine, because apparently something was going on there, but it wasn't necessary. So afterwards, driving home, I do notice more neck range of motion. I feel different things energetically and perception wise, but who knows...I always feel different things! Overall, I will have to see the longer term consequences/benefits before recommending it. In theory it's great, but I'd rather recommend it based on some positive results. PS: and the ideas about Annunakis coding out DNA so that the atlas is out of place....or other weird things...who knows. Getting this done obviously doesn't reveal that information. The technique and tool was invented by some dude in Switzerland to heal himself and others....so I don't personally see the connection with aliens and human slavery, or whatever. -

Ah yes that does help...thanks. -
It turns out you do need a master for iron palm.

Yea go to the teacher once you're healed up. There are internal medicines you take to adapt, as well as external medications to heal quicker. But every teacher is different...some good some not good. I haven't trained this, but I know this much. -

What the heck are you talking about!? You took that the entirely opposite way of how I wrote it. I'm actually saying the same thing as you. -

For instance, with the atlas orthogonal technique (where they adjust the atlas bone into place with a percussion instrument and check it with Xrays), if you research it a bit you find examples of people having to go for numerous treatments. A few people have said that the first year was great, but then afterward they went for another and then exponentially they started having to go more and more often. It's like the body adapts to the vertebrae shifting more and more, so that the technique works less and less. Anyway, my review of Atlas Profilax won't mean much in comparison to Atlas Orthogonal, since I will have to wait quite at least a year to see. Okay...I'm really walking out the door now... -
Chinese Taoist Medicine & Stillness-Movement Medical Qigong
Aetherous replied to Ya Mu's topic in Group Studies
Thanks. I'm still not really understanding the technique. My impression is that the clinician senses out of balance areas in the patient, and then treats them with qi...and that out of balance areas will appear and disappear in different places as the body shifts from the treatment. So the thing I'm trying to understand is how you first find an out of balance area. Not the patient reaction to the treatment, but the way to determine what kind of treatment is needed. How do you sense what's needed? -

I've heard that Chiropractors might adjust the atlas bone itself, but it'll go out of place because the muscles are still tight. But with this Atlas Profilax technique, it tends to stay in place because they don't adjust the bone but rather just relax the muscles that hold it out of place. I'm not sure if that's really true...but regardless, I'm walking out the door now...peace. -
Question about spirituality and scientific testing
Aetherous replied to seekeroftruth's topic in General Discussion
Are you a scientist or doctor? This is not how these professionals think...this is how uneducated people think. Scientists and doctors use and listen to the scientific method of testing claims, which could potentially "prove" that it's not placebo. No miracles need to happen...like instantly fixing a broken bone. Just good research and publishing that research in a medical journal. -

Ya Mu, Have you seen anything about the SCENAR device? Does that work under the same principle as this Taoist medicine? I realize that it's impossible to learn this over the net, but I'm just very curious about the technique. What would be an out of balance response to the clinician? Like...skin temperature or color, energy perceived...? Thanks. -
Question about spirituality and scientific testing
Aetherous replied to seekeroftruth's topic in General Discussion
It's very easy to scientifically prove it's not just placebo. Maybe someone already has, and published the results? -
Awesome. That's intense! I really hope no one tries to do this...you can EASILY die...but in the rare case that someone would try it I want to give some basic info that will hopefully prevent you from keeling over or getting severely injured: It's a good idea to use big dispersal pads of some sort, to make sure you don't burn your skin. Also, make sure there's no sweat on your skin, the salts of which will absorb the electricity and potentially burn your skin as well as lessening the effect...so clean your skin off first, and use some sort of conductive gel for the best effect. Make sure that the path of the current doesn't travel anywhere near your heart...so put one pad on your lower leg, and the other on your upper leg...something like that. Never do something like one pad on one arm and one pad on the other. The heart beats because of a self generated electrical pulse in the tissues, and if that inherent pulse is messed with, it can stop pulsing! That means: death. It helps to drink Zeta Crystal water to increase the conductivity of the fluid in your body. I love this stuff and have verified its effectiveness. The supply will last you 4 months or so if you have the full amount everyday, which is somewhat of a challenge...so it's a good deal that will last a while. Totally beats Gatorade or whatever, which is full of junk and makes you fat from the sugar combination they use. Or just eat different kinds of fruits, especially bananas, kiwis, and raisins for the potassium which will do the same thing. Also it'd be a good idea to make some kind of device that can control the intensity of the current! Personally I'd rather just buy a TENS unit, which will be a lesser voltage but you'll still get a decent charge going in...and you can also control everything about the current that way. In my class in college, we use electrical muscle stimulation...we have pretty nice machines. My partner was working on me and decided it'd be funny to crank it up to 450v. Holy crap that was painful. My arm hyperextended and almost went out of place at the elbow due to the muscle contraction from the current! But that kind of power isn't harmful because the machine is easily controllable and we know what we're doing. Yeah, once again: please no one try to charge up from the wall.

Question about spirituality and scientific testing
Aetherous replied to seekeroftruth's topic in General Discussion
Very true. After you can do little party tricks like light up a pile of newspaper or make a psi wheel spin, then what matters to your life? A long happy healthy and rewarding life...this is the best thing someone can achieve. If a teacher doesn't have these qualities, then it says something about their cultivation, in my opinion. I think Ya Mu's idea about him using qi projection to treat people is a great example of an amazing ability. If people are consistently treated with positive results, then it proves the nature of qi. Why would someone have to prove it by doing some magic trick? Helping people with illness is magic enough for me. Of course, maybe it's not even possible for someone to start a fire by just using their energy or intent. I can't do it, and don't know anyone that can. If I could, or did...well that would be interesting but ultimately a distraction from: Making the world and your life a better place to be. But that being said: I am on the side of the fence that thinks if someone's claiming they can do it, they really should do it scientifically and under scrutiny. I don't see a reason why not. And I think if someone is kind of claiming they have the ability, they should be straightforward about it saying "yes I can" or "no I can't" or just don't speak at all on the subject. Dancing around the answer by saying "I didn't say I can or can't" isn't helpful to anyone. No offense meant by that to anyone.
