Yeah, my experience has been that normal toothpastes work much better than non flouride types. But then again I didn't try Smile's specific plan, with the pH taken into account.

Nice link. The person who wrote it has good experience it seems. Daniel Ingram's online book rocks. I like AWA when its done in a certain way: http://albigen.com/uarelove/

Check out Bao Zhong oolong if you haven't.

For me, a light appears in the niwan as a result of meditation. For that reason, I don't think it's visualization, but I think it's the pineal doing its thing as a result of the qi flow.

That is a hilarious video lol.. "This one's for Mike in Canada. Mike, you rock bro!"

At least for me as a non taiji guy, these articles cleared up a lot of what Sifu Mizner says. But I doubt I'm truly understanding without having practiced the principles. No teacher is nearby so... But it's awesome to learn about this.

Question about spirituality and scientific testing
Aetherous replied to seekeroftruth's topic in General Discussion
I agree with the 'prove it' idea. If you can reliably do something out of the ordinary, then it'd be good to show that and potentially win 1 mil from Randi. Why not? There's not a good reason not to in my opinion. We live in the information age...and the spice must flow. -
That prison video is the best portrayal of real fighting there probably is. The win vs group video: you can see the importance of really knowing how to box. That guy is pretty good. The long fist guy: lucky punch, that guy is a fool for fighting like that in my opinion. The pimp one: awesome fake out... Here is a good one...I like his reaction time. Not even half a second after the initial attack and he goes off: ZyQx3C-Ela0

Anything else, ralis? I'm most likely getting the treatment within this month. -
Wow Stig you're thinking big, huh?

Ya Mu, Well I've been through Kunlun and am in the process of another similar school, which are both supposed to be that kind of transmission. There have been great moments in my practice of these paths, where very interesting things have occurred energetically. But the greatest moments for me yet have been as a result of my meditation. Not just self realization, but actual miraculous happenings in the physical world. For instance, once when I went quite deep, thousands of birds started circling above me all fighting each other. Literally thousands or more right above my place. Another time, a very powerful storm started when it was a clear day. To me, these are signs of higher levels of energy than anything else I've experienced from any practice which involves qi. Another practice I used to do was teacherless...and I had quite an awakening from it, and a real glimpse of enlightenment. It seems to me at this point like the two go hand in hand: true realization and high level energetics. All systems of working with qi first seem to not be as effective. At least at this point...perhaps I shouldn't draw conclusions so early. That sounds good to me. I'm really not disagreeing with much other than that a teacher is NEEDED. And I still respect you and think I could learn a lot. It's kind of weird for me to debate something with someone who I consider far more advanced than myself and who I think has some answers I've been looking for (I really like how you describe your clinical qigong treatments). But nevertheless...I've only been distracted by teachers on my path. Even if they were super advanced (far more than I am) and shared great things with me...perhaps I would've been better served practicing intensely and listening to my heart.

Upward practices, to me, are pretty much anything that involves any kind of effort on your part. Kunlun level 1 is a downward practice, when done correctly.

Ya Mu, I think emptiness meditation (not just sitting quietly, but true emptiness) is advanced qigong. Higher level vibrations happen as a result of the person penetrating the depths of the light of emptiness. True qigong. This is my experience...although I'm not experienced enough and haven't dedicated enough time to it. I've found that I activate more, and create more energy with my style of meditation (awareness watching awareness) than with any qigong I've tried so far. I think I have the highest technique. It's not just about relaxation and stillness of mind. I'm open to new things! This is just discussion. Maybe someday I will take your stillness movement course. I do think perhaps you have a lot to offer (especially with the medical qigong), but I will still have to disagree that a teacher is needed. What's needed is the right technique and tons of practice...no transmissions from another person which is just a distraction, only transmissions from the source.

New Jersey Forces Mandatory Vaccinations NEW LAW *FLU SHOT*
Aetherous replied to Oolong Rabbit's topic in General Discussion
Karen, A virus is a virus, but if you inject a lot the effect will be different than injecting a little...right? From what I know, the amount they give is what the body is able to suppress. I'll do some research on humoral immunity...I certainly don't know everything about this subject. How does the vaccine suppress the symptoms? I thought it was straight up influenza they're giving...at least that's what it said on the vial when I administered it (we were forced to get it in the national guard). This seems VERY unlikely to me. Maybe embalming fluid I could understand being in there...but aborted fetal tissue? What?? -
I don't think teachers are needed...just a good emptiness meditation (which can be found in many books).

Who cares? This is like a soap opera. It doesn't matter if SJ meets Max.

We have a winner.

Okay...this is my opinion: If you've done upward practices before, and you have, then you will most likely get energy problems just as a result of the way your energy is currently shaped. Most everyone is upward just by their very nature...so the problems are kind of unavoidable. I did the kunlun practices exclusively and this has been my experience. If weird things happen, go see an acupuncturist. Take things slower and don't ignore warning signs (dizziness is a big one). Looking back, I wish I had taken this advice. The question of whether you need a transmission or not, is kind of interesting. Some say that the transmission can pass harmful energy to the practitioner. Jenny Lamb who teaches the same practice says that you don't need a transmission at all, that it comes from within. My experience is that the transmission helped get things moving...but many others have gotten moving from the book alone. I think once things spontaneously start to happen, you don't need anything else other than to let go. The posture itself tunes you into the energy...but I think other postures and practices can do the same thing, and then it's just a matter of allowing yourself to be moved. Seeking an energy source outside yourself is useless. That just makes people into followers and victims. Good luck. Listen to yourself above anyone else.

Need info/advice/help on sexual practise

Totally. -
It could be true.

Can't help you out...but I found that listening to it while trying it out and then sometimes rewinding parts kind of puts it all together. At least for myself, after a while I tend to stop listening to the Russian and only hear his English. This practice really rocks.
-
Ape, Perhaps nothing will happen for you. I've met a handful of people that couldn't seem to be moved around at all, and thought it was a joke. It doesn't matter if the practice is real or not...if it works for you and you enjoy it then do it. But if it doesn't work, it's pointless to keep trying to make it work. Some people just won't have spontaneous movements, I think.

I definitely felt it with Swami G. Powerful. But I don't trust her personality, and can't recommend her.

Please let us know how your practice goes with it, Jedi. I was looking at that book as well.
