Spontaneous Adjustment Qi Kung seminar

Any reviews on how it went? -
Luckily only the ones that have fought had to deal with the ugliness that war brings. The rest can sleep comfortably at night and only theoretically deal with it on internet forums, if they so choose.

Welcome! I'll second what Yoda said.

Thanks, that makes sense. One more question: do you know how they found that these stars and vertebrae were connected?
-
Patrick, What's your problem?
-
Why are stars equated with the different vertebrae? Like...what's the purpose of doing that? An honest question.

Nudity isn't porn...but I think there's no decent reason to be posting nudity on this forum which is about Taoism. ... Totally.

I kept seeing people saying "vote vote vote" and it was pretty annoying! Why? Well... I didn't like either candidate. Writing someone in wouldn't have made any difference, besides the fact that I didn't have anyone that I liked to write in. So sometimes there's a good reason for a person to not vote. If it were mandatory, I would've flipped a coin.

Yea, you don't need one. I say do it! It'd be fun!
-
You don't need a degree for it.

I kind of agree...if I'm understanding you right. People swear. It's not the most polite or intelligent way to behave...but we shouldn't expect to control what everyone else does. Only what we do. Some of us don't mind the swearing...and actually I personally think people should speak freely. It makes me more relaxed when people aren't afraid to speak how they want...dirty language and all. Tao Te Ching, 18 Therefore, When the great Way was forsaken, there was humaneness and righteousness; When cunning and wit appeared, there was great falsity; When the six family relationships lacked harmony, there were filial piety and parental kindness; When the state and royal house were in disarray, there were upright ministers."

I think it's pretty simple. This is the information age. The internet connects the whole world. Everyone has open access to pretty much all knowledge. We are living in mostly peaceful times....compared to the rest of our history. So it's the best time to share stuff. Also, a good question is to ask: why were these things secret in the first place?

Awesome video, Karen! I also think stretching the hamstrings is really important for overall posture...more so than any other stretch.

Yea. About whether Obama is a socialist or not...well people who are republican tend to call all democrats socialists...that's all it is.

Wikipedia says: Obama is a Christian whose religious views have evolved in his adult life. In The Audacity of Hope, Obama writes that he "was not raised in a religious household." He describes his mother, raised by non-religious parents (whom Obama has specified elsewhere as "non-practicing Methodists and Baptists") to be detached from religion, yet "in many ways the most spiritually awakened person that I have ever known." He describes his father as "raised a Muslim", but a "confirmed atheist" by the time his parents met, and his stepfather as "a man who saw religion as not particularly useful." In the book, Obama explains how, through working with black churches as a community organizer while in his twenties, he came to understand "the power of the African-American religious tradition to spur social change."[188][189] He was baptized at Trinity United Church of Christ in 1988.[190][191] I think he did. This is from wikipedia: The Jeremiah Wright controversy gained national attention in March 2008 when ABC News, after reviewing dozens of Wright's sermons,[25] excerpted parts which were subject to intense media scrutiny.[26][27] Wright is the former pastor of President-elect of the United States Barack Obama.[28] Obama denounced the statements in question, but after critics continued to press the issue of his relationship with Wright he gave a speech titled "A More Perfect Union", in which he sought to place Dr. Wright's comments in a historical and sociological context. In the speech, Obama again denounced Wright's remarks, but did not disown him as a person. The controversy began to fade, but was renewed in late April when Wright made a series of media appearances, including an interview on Bill Moyers Journal, a speech at the NAACP and a speech at the National Press Club.[29] After the last of these, Obama spoke more forcefully against his former pastor, saying that he was "outraged" and "saddened" by his behavior, and in May he resigned his membership in the church.[30] I'm sure you could find Wright's controversial speeches by doing a google search. I heard bits and pieces of them on the radio back in April, and it was kind of weird.

I agree. President Elect Obama represents change, but is he change? This is why I couldn't vote for either candidate. Because it's politics, and politicians these days are all basically puppets for more powerful people. Maybe not all of them...but who knows. Besides that: I just don't think the presidency is that big of a deal in the scheme of things. It's just one aspect of our country's government. Yeah, it's an important and influential part, but it's just that the presidency is so hyper focused on...when it shouldn't be so much...just my opinion. I'm glad history was made. Although it was kind of sad to see the news just interviewing tons of black people. I thought we were past that. It was also sad to see a lot of the good men I deployed with saying racist comments and then getting all sore that their side lost the election. And I'm sure some of my family members will have negative things to say, especially my grandparents who still think he's a Muslim. All in all, it was fun to watch this all unfold, and it will be fun to see what happens in the next few years.

Awesome, thanks...I will get those DVDs.

The upper peninsula of Michigan. Pretty far away. I did find what seems to be the best free resource on Wild Goose, what do you think: I also got Dr. Hu's video, and it seems pretty much the same. Was looking into Michael Tse's book, to get the details down.

I guess my most serious question is: what are the best things you know?
-
I've been using Zeta Crystals, and they seem to help increase energy. If you want to have less sodium, then I found a recipe for a zeta solution online where you just take tripotassium phosphate and mix it with water.

That sounds pretty much like a normal seminar. Where would the meat be?

The most common problem for me personally is thinking mostly of my cultivation and daily life, rather than doing good things in this world. If I were to look back today from my deathbed, what can I say that I've done? I haven't donated much of anything to anyone, haven't helped others (beyond the normal bumming friends some money and assisting family members with various tasks), etc. When I meet new people, I don't show them how to be happy...I tend to leave others alone because I am just not a really social person. This is all changing, so that's why I finally notice it. So that's something I've seen a need to work on for myself.
