In my opinion, if you have an aversion to cold it definitely points to cold type of "flu". Runny nose also confirms this, because heat would dry up the fluids rather than cause them to run. If you touch your cheeks and then your nose, if your nose is colder this also confirms that it's the "cold" type.

This is questionable although very interesting...someone that claimed to be an analyst from the FBI posting anonymously on 4chan back in July: http://i.cubeupload.com/rQSksv.png While it doesn't address rigging the election, it does look at the election from a certain perspective. Something interesting is that this person claimed Trump was using textbook psychological operation tactics in his campaign.

Orthodoxy and Eastern Religion or Pan-Asian Religion.

Seems to me that only Theravada Buddhists are orthodox. -
It's not accurate. Ling Shu is a modern name for the second half of the Nei Jing, which was originally called the Zhen Jing (Needle Classic). Su Wen (Basic Questions) is the first half. These books originated in the Han dynasty, but the modern version is from Song dynasty research and reconstructions. The only content that we can be absolutely sure is from the Han dynasty are the portions that are quoted in the Systematic Classic, which are still in the modern Nei Jing. Unschuld probably has the best history of the Nei Jing in his translations of it. From what I recall, it wasn't an individual who wrote it originally...it was a group of scholars who collected disparate medical ideas, and put them in a uniquely organized format.

Julian Assange has been taken & Wikileaks Compromised
Aetherous replied to Wells's topic in The Rabbit Hole
I heard a clip of Assange (apparently) speaking the other day...it was a live stream on Facebook from some obscure page that has 1000 followers. It was only audio...so the whole thing was questionable...that being said, the voice did sound like his. It can be jumping the gun to assume that he's been taken and WikiLeaks compromised...but on the other hand, for those who utilize WikiLeaks information, it's safe to operate under the assumption. -
Sometimes it feels really good to be wrong...

It seems like that's the motivation for the recount. I've also read that they're attempting to make it so that Trump has 260 or less electoral votes, which would force the vote to go to Congress or something, to further delegitimatize his win.
-
If it happens...then we saw it coming a mile away when the calls for a recount began, and the Clinton campaign got involved in it. Wasn't rigged well enough the first time...better make sure the second. Most importantly, this entire debacle should have every American asking the question: how can we know that our votes are accurate in future elections? When we can't even trust that a recount is going to be accurate and unbiased...when there's a need for a recount in the first place. Ate up!

Eat more bitter can help with that...an array of vegetables, like dark green leafy. If it's something like kale or chard, important to cook it first...especially this time of year.

The Strange and Bitter Wisdom of Wong (long composite article)
Aetherous replied to thelerner's topic in The Rabbit Hole
Social virtues (kindness, honesty, etc) are great... but who gets paid for them? Money is ultimately the tool we use to trade value for value with the greater society, and being such, it's how we can measure what society values. It might be true that social virtues sweeten the deal...a very kind and honest business owner might get more customers, whereas a very rude employee will probably get fired for something they say to the customer. But in terms of a person striving to be the paragon of kindness...do they get paid for it? If kindness is the greatest thing in life (it arguably is), then why don't people get paid for it? Why doesn't society value it as much as other things? -
It's laughable that only 3.4% of voters, at most, signed the change.org petition for it. Regardless, it's a very real possibility for the electoral college to vote against Trump. It ain't over til it's over.

Innovative mantra counting methods

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Thank you...that along with this have helped me realize the problem here. Up until this point I honestly thought it was just a bunch of people whining. The fact that the Supreme Court ruled that it was Sioux land that was taken illegally should be enough for others to not cross into it.

Thank you, my bad.

This is about me? Damn...didn't know I was viewed in such a negative way by the mod team here. I certainly contribute much more to this forum than that. I'll try to tone it down even further.

I just view this as a thing kind of like...you wouldn't want to bring the issue up at your family thanksgiving with grandma sitting there. It's just not the place for it...same with TDB. I'm sure there are many forum members who don't want to see it (despite the fact that bringing it out into the open is a good thing, and is potentially saving the lives of many children). People shouldn't be forced to see it, or to have their vibes lowered to the depths by even coming close to the subject. I respect how some people's version of cultivation involves paying attention to good things, primarily. Also, keeping the topic here to be analyzed, I'm sure it would open up a can of worms at some point. Someone on reddit recently posted some of the pictures they hacked and found to that site, regarding this topic...we don't want that here - for anyone to ever see that. It could also potentially bring criminal investigations onto this forum if that were to occur. It's pretty wise to just say "no, none of that here".

Admin just posted a reminder that this subject can't be discussed here due to it being about child exploitation, which is a topic that's against forum rules. Good to know that at least at some places, like TDB, it's not true censorship.

This is in the same sense that an alcoholic is a victim of alcohol addiction. Sure, they could theoretically physically avoid alcohol with supreme will power that lasts forever...but it's easier to suggest to do that, than it is to be in their shoes and try that strategy. This being said...never be a victim about anything in life. How to strive toward freedom... It's easier to control what we pay attention to, than it is to control our lust and desire for release. We can choose to not pay attention to images that stir up our lust. If lust does get stirred up, we know from experience that repression, guilt and shame, feeling like a failure for not succeeding in celibacy, etc, are not helpful things to cultivate. It really must be continually cut off at the source...by distracting attention away from things that stir up lust. While it's easy to say this, and easy to implement for a while...the trick is continuing on this path over time. Celibacy is no joke, for a normally functioning male. Attempting it will give you precious insight into all of the ways in which we sabotage success...you will fail all the time. Something else to consider - sex in a healthy relationship is good.
