Hi sillybearhappyhoneyeater, Your above statements speak volumes. The importance of a healthy body and mind is key. They provide the frameworks, foundations, infrastructures, organisations, arrangements... for Qi to move naturally. I learned of the above importance the hard way without a teacher and a proper understanding of good texts. I am a third generation overseas Chinese and I am almost blind to Chinese texts. A great shame and I am shameful. Anyway not too late now that I have arrived at TDB. I chance upon your thread because of the 'names' of some of the serious Bummies. They caught my attention and I am not proved wrong to be attracted thus. From a quick scan of the thread - courtesy and gentlemanly sharing of experience, knowledge, explanation... prevailed. Will read more in-depth at my own time. Thank you for starting this thread. - LimA

Hi Steve, But of course. Chi power targets at oinkers? I dare not be cheeky with Taoist warriors. There are five wimpy's here. No way to this - "I want to be wimpy". Why? See this... If I do wimpy chi kung, will I be limpy at my first and second chakras? If so - NO. Self explanatory: Frosting will not make you a wimpy oinker. Give it a try. As in: jing => chi => shen? Why "Taoists like to have a big bright aura around the whole body"? Because they like frosting? Not bored at all. Beautiful pictures. Thank you. Master's chakras - energized from the first to the seventh? Or was his apple tree hit by lightning? - LimA

Hi Steve, The road to Shen cannot be mapped with milestones as the path is (i) ever changing (momentarily), (ii) non-traceable, (iii) non-repetitive, (iv)... But the mind is all knowing after a journeyed experience in reality - humbly? - Anand

Hi Steve, Thank you for starting this new thread. Can we associate chi power with the discipline, energy, gumption... to strife for loftier goals? It is more link to personal/private pursuits that involve the mind, health, meditations, sacrifices... in this directional flow: jing => chi => shen? Chi power is one up on chi. It is more in the domain of 'shen'? The path to chi power ('shen') is not easy, commonly known or linear. There are obstacles, setbacks, challenges... on roads less traveled? Silly egotistical power is apparently not chi power. Examples of low level powers - economical, political, sexual... ? Good night. - Anand

Isn't it enough for me to stop at 'chi'? Why 'chi' => 'chi power'? 'Power' corrupts.

Chi power - positive or negative? For good use or abuse? ...?
