  1. Hiyo

Hi aapclark9, I can figure what you meant by "emotional blockages". I had similar moments at the nascent stages and I was reduced to tears. Believe their clearances are positive. Move on humbly ... I have bought a copy of the "Golden Flower" and I have not made any progress with it. However I have scanned its rich resources at TDB. Will do justice to these resources soon. So am I ... learning with humility and an open mind. A good weekend. - LimA

  7. Hello

Good morning Dada-da, "Old age" not old age. Why? "Old age" = experiential knowledge on different "people, places and things"; everyone very different. "Old" people not old people. Why? "Old" people give back to life fully. - LimA
  8. Hello

Hi Dada-da, 'Old age' seems to be more 'real' when an individual reaches a certain age. It may vary from individual to individual. Some realisation/respect for 'old age' may be associated with delicate and penetrating stories. This is one such story - a songwriter's (34 years old) realisation that his mother (70+) is getting old and he wrote this song for a songwriting competition: 当你老了 (When you are old) It is translated thus - When you are old When you are old and gray hair. And full of sleep. When you are old and unable to walk . And nodding by the fire, recall your youth. How many loved your moments of glad grace. And loved your beauty with love false or true. But one man loved your pilgrim soul in you. And loved the sorrows of your changing face. When I'm old and eyebrows lowered. When I'm old and eyebrows lowered. The hazy light shining fast. The Winds blow across,Send your message. This is a song in my heart. When I am old,I really hope. Here is a song, sing for you. The song was delivered during a competition thus - At that point in time, his mother had not yet hear the song. It has since been recorded by many artistes e.g.: To me 'old age' is special from a very young age - thus this post. - LimA
  9. Hello

Hi Dada-da, I also do BS a lot. Like you - good naturedly to the best of my 'good' nature. This is noted at 'Welcome'. The Red Guards did not kill Taoism during the Cultural Revolution in China? Is Taoism passed down from the 'old' to the 'young' over generations? The same mode of transfer both in the East and West? Same respect for 'old age' both in the East and West? In the Internet age is the East merging into the West, and vice versa? - LimA

  16. Hello

YES! Hi Lost in Translation, The following pertains to some Taoist symbolism on colours (www.webpages.uidaho.edu/~rfrey/PDF/116/116TaoColor.pdf) COLOR: NATURE / ELEMENT / CONSIDERATIONS: RED: Yang / Fire / Auspicious symbol, associated with passion, warmth, life, good fortune, wards off evil, worn by brides. YELLOW: Yang / Earth / Symbol for royalty, authority. GREEN/BLUE: Yin / Wood / Symbol of love, youth, growth, longevity, harmony; "blue" = sky, same word denotes heavenly blessings. WHITE: Yang / Metal / Represents death, mourning, sorrow, grief. BLACK: Yin / Water / Symbolizes darkness; remarkably unpopular. - LimA

  19. Hello

Hi Rickie, I was teasing you in anticipation. No more. Great that you returned to complete the circle ... By and large, life is a circle game ... Who is not distracted at one time or another? If 'my way' can be aligned with The Way, it will be good. You think so? And how your mind works also? Dada? Me too. Every once in a while, a new technology, an old problem, and a big idea turn into an innovation - Dean Kamen So nothing is that new. You are as big as you think. Take your time to find ... - LimA
