Hi Marblehead, Really glad to have known you before transience/impermanence sets in. Sad but I am an optimist - we will meet again in our next lives. Meanwhile let us appreciate each other - clearly, muddy. sandy, marblely, stony, rocky ... It is now 2+am at my end - time for me to fade away .... Good night. - LimA

Hey Everyone, Marblehead cleans kitchen and he does gardening. His energy is limited. His jing => chi => shen => ? A good weekend to all. - LimA

Hi Marblehead, Really - no shame and no blame? Marblehead - your erstwhile name? Promise I will be blameless & tame. Now we go back to good old same? It's Friday - a great weekend. - LimA

Hi Marblehead, To you - I really meant no harm. Just like to my own Dad & Mum. Shame on me. I am really sorry. - LimA

Hi Wu Ming Jen, Thank you for coming on timely, aptly and copying Oven’s introduction to this his thread. It is this introduction of his that I thought ought to be given a little support for its growth. Why am I am thinking thus? I had raised it before – the dearth of participation by initiators of good threads beyond their introductions. My bantering, with Marblehead (principally) and lesser with like-minded others, is to keep a worthwhile thread afloat temporally until such times. . Now you have indicated this: Perceived thus, and with due respect to expressed beliefs, I will make my exit here on this thread. My apology for not being knowingly sensitive to domain differentials per a spatial perspective. Perhaps I can be excused as I am relatively new at TDB. Please be rest assured that I will learn as fast as I can, if I choose to remain with TDB. - LimA

True that. And I will never admit to how many times that might have been. . Hi Marblehead, True or not is - primary. How often? Secondary. Honesty - exemplary. Buddhism - no hurry. Wondering - no worry. Marble - from quarry. - LimA
-
Yeah, wondering is anti-wuwei. But I have never claimed to be in constant wu wei. Hey Everyone. Marblehead is a wavering Daoist Bum. He is "never ... in constant wuwei". Sometimes he lost his Way. - LimA
-
Exactly. (But don't call me a Buddhist. Hehehe.) Hey Everyone, Marblehead is a Buddhist! O my Spiritual Divinity! - LimA

Hi Marblehead, Why is the rainbow not an Absolute Truth? It is not there for you - thro' & thro' & thro'? As for the Easter Bunny, Do not be cute & funny. Sun ... are absolute at this point in time. Till you have committed all your crimes? The Sun - burn out? You fake - fade out. Earth - will die? After you died? Do not talk about gravity. Your head is a big cavity. Moon - thrown out of orbit? You - its very dated rabbit? It's consumed by Jupiter? You have mental capital? It is also consumed by the burn-out Sun? Please disappear right now from my gun. - LimA

Hi Marblehead, Good morning. It is now 7+am at my end. But of course. You are unstoppable. You are always wondering. Is this not anti-wuwei, I wonder? It is wonderful that you are so truthful thus: Questions: (1) "Personal truths" are different individual interpretations of an "Absolute Truth"? (2) An individual's "personal truths change over time" because nothing is permanent from a Buddhist perspective? (3) The existence of the sun, moon, gravity, rainbow ... are examples of "Absolute Truths"? - LimA

Hi Marblehead, To each his/her own - respectfully expressed in relation to others. . And from others - reciprocity. Your truths have oftentimes been expressed artfully and funnily - haha, hehe, hihi, hoho and huhu. No truths are cast in stones e.g. marble, We must leave no stones unturned when digging up truths. We should question them periodically - period. - LimA

Hi silent thunder, Thank you for refreshing so openly and freely. It is thoughtful, insightful and meaningful. I have re-read your post twice and will do so again, with this in mind: Thanks again. - LimA
-
Hi Marblehead, I am cognizant that a post in which GOD is included must be considered respectfully. I have it reiterated here: IT is not a just word in this and previous posts. For now can I suggest 'Spiritual Divinity' in place of IT until another more appropriate suggestion is raised and accepted my most Daoist Bums? 'Spiritual Divinity' is suggested in this post to include all 'gods' and 'alternative(s)' in relation to: (i) proper moral values. (ii) due respect to all individuals. If there are no objections to its suggestion, I will use 'Spiritual Divinity' in my future posts as expressed in this post. - LimA

Hi Marblehead, Good morning. You know jolly well, and concretely, that no one kills/ killed God. It seems more likely that then - (i) your view of God, (ii) your path to God and (iii) you readiness to embrace God were put to a test. It also seems very likely that your 'killed' = 'failed'. Since then have you 'passed'? It is not a surprise to me you have used the ungodly word 'alternative'. Why? You are - The Wondering Taoist. I recalled that when I wondered off subjects in classes, my teachers would let me taste their rulers. God is respectfully embraced in this post - inline with due respect to all individuals. - LimA

Hi silent thunder, You inked the above snippets? If so, very good. Why? I am not wasting your time as you do not glorify "busy". So you are free to help clarify the above snippets? Good. Here goes: (1) So it is the right of rain not to fall in drought-stricken localities e,g. India. The Indian farmers who had taken their lives were "no accidents"? They died naturally? (2) The Same Source is the TAO? (3) But of course - anything, everything, something and nothing is possible in the TAO. (4) See (3). (5) WUWEI all the WAY as Daoist Bums? Are you now an almost 100% Taoist? - LimA

Hi Earl Grey, Thank you for the above snippets. They caught my attention and made me think thus Taoistically (in terms of flip-sides and middle-paths): (1) If I am not a cynic and/or an idealist, how will I regard everyone? As someone, anyone or no-one? (2) So how will I see people otherwise? Impossible to see them? But they are not invisible - so I see people as what? (3) Belief systems are not moulded in stone, especially marble-stone. "The trick is to learn not to take anyone's B.S. too seriously, especially your own". But of course. (4) Who is not crazy? I am crazy (sometimes only). But it does not mean that I am right or wrong. I am just crazy. Period. (5) Only the madman is "is absolutely sure" that he is mad? So only the sane man is "is absolutely sure" that he is not mad? (6) "Big = what you love" and "small = what you allow to annoy you". Medium = ? Your snippets have offered me some respite. Thanks again. - LimA

Hi SeekerOfHealing, If I have unwittingly induced misunderstanding with my post, my apology. Words have limitations but my use of them is my sole responsibility. Please allow me to explain a little and I hope it can help clear the air a little too. When it comes to the ABC's of the basic kits of living and learning, we need external teachers - period. But my post pertains to learning portals beyond the basic learning kits of life. I have singled out experiential learning and the internalization of 'teaching/learning' for new knowledge to sprout. Such 'internalization' will allow me to touch base with myself for a kick-off of this cyclization - 'teaching - learning - knowing'. I like to believe that forest-turtle is beyond the basic learning kits of life with this post of his: As for myself - I am still searching. - LimA
-
Hi Earl Grey; Yes, self-reflection tops. We are our best teachers for a start - especially per experiential learning, Teaching/learning are the flip-sides of the same coin. When these two sides are internalised, knowledge will be the new currency. This new currency will lead to this coinage progression - learning/knowing => knowing/teaching. The progression is cyclical and life-long with three self images in the mirror. These three images pertain to three roles - teacher, student and knowledge-worker (not necessary in this order). - LimA

Hi silent thunder, I travel to Thesaurus frequently; it is almost like my second home. When I was last there: Claim = maintain, assert, say, state, declare, argue, allege, aver and profess. The above synonyms of 'claim' highlighted cyan are more definitive; the rest are more suggestive and open to interpretations. So you don't have to prove anything; believe in your 37 handsomely but with dignity. I am concerned about you though. Why? You have indicated this - "I don't believe everything I think". Colours are always colourful - so don't claim but celebrate differences. - LimA
-
Hi silent thunder, The makers of the color spectrum claim there are 39 distinct hues. Why the word 'claim' when they are the makers? - LimA
-
Hi silent thunder. But of course. - LimA

Hi Guys, I don't even know where to start counting and where to stop. But I find the discussions fascinating in terms of REALITY. 46, 35, 37 and 44 = four realities? How about theses - (i) .I think I might have gotten something wrong... (ii) I have a "weirdness" in the greens. (iii) I have noticed slippery areas in the orange hues for me. and (iv) I'm just confused ?. To each his/her own? I will not join in at this point in time and spoil the colourful developmental flow. Will do so at an appropriate time later as a budding critical realist. In another thread, I have introduced a little on critical realism and Roy Bhaskar. Guys - the RAINBOW is curved. A good weekend. - LimA

Hi Daoist Bums, The Taoist flipside of war is: PEACE Good night. - LimA

Hi Marblehead, I too am very sure that "most of the answers wouldn't be very nice" from: The LOVED ONES of those who did not come out of the Vietnam War alive. I deliberately raised the questions at this forum to drawn attention for a SALUTE to their LOVED ONES now resting in peace. THEY have not been forgotten. Hope THEY will find a little comfort here after all these years. I understand. I SALUTE you here again as my HERO. For EVERYONE unwittingly involved/affected by the Vietnam War: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ But of course - the weekend is now here. - LimA
