Hi All, I had recently communicated with two trusted Bro's at TDB with no/little words. One - with my 1st chakra and the other - my 5th chakra. Respectfully and respectively I communicated thus: I have become a better person... To me TRUST and RESPECT are central to such communication. Also... Thanks Bro's - you know who you are. - LimA

Hi Nebulae Bred, For a 23 year old you write with good maturity - perhaps from your life experiences thus far. You have come across as a fighter. You have indicated - I am still confused myself - but less so than at the beginning. Thank you for your PM. If I can help you in any way - I will. - LimA
  21. What is in our power to do?

Hi Miroku, “If you are quiet enough, you will hear the flow of the universe. You will feel its rhythm. Go with this flow. Happiness lies ahead. Meditation is key." No, this is not the Buddha... It seems to be quite recent, and hasn’t made its way into any books that are indexed by Google Books (one of my main research tools)... The Buddha did not use metaphors like “the flow of the universe.” He didn’t tell us to go with the flow. He did however talk about streams and rivers in a metaphorical way. The above is from fakebuddhaquotes.com. Also found on this site are these: - All Fake Buddha Quotes - Fakeish Buddha Quotes - Fake Buddha Stories Besides - I have absolutely no idea where this one originates from - the owner of the site (Bodhipaksa) has indicated this: It’s hard sometimes to pinpoint why they sound fake. Usually it’s the language, which may be too flowery and poetic. Sometimes it’s the subject matter, which sounds too contemporary. From Bodhipaksa's perspective, you have indicated - Fake Buddha Quote. Sorry guys. How about the various translations of the Tao Te Jing discoursed at TDB? Please comment on these Taoist translations in relation to - (a) the language, which may be too flowery and poetic and (b) the subject matter, which sounds too contemporary. - LimA

  24. What is in our power to do?

Hi liminal_luke, Your above thoughts fit in well with this thread which reads - What is in our power to do? Feeling with my body is also important for/to me. I cleared some bodily hurdles - as difficult lessons. Traversing my chakras as a new kid on the block was not easy. Some lessons - evolve, some - revolve ~ I am still learning. My chakra-journey became easier the moment I recognized/realized the chakras have the same colors and sequence as the rainbow. - LimA
