Uhh, you do know that Mantak Chia is also from the Dragon Gate Sect of White Cloud Temple, right? That's where Dr. Wu trained.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Jrltk2Rpfk Here is a video of Dr. James Gates talking about how he found doubly-even self-dual linear binary error-correcting block codes embedded in the fabric of the universe!! He also explains how holographic 3D geometric expressions of these equations he calls adinkras, which serve as algorithms that support our reality. This is reminds me of the Buddhist and Hindu concepts of maya or illusion of the universe. The adinkras remind me of the yantras in Hinduism. More and more we are finding the ancient masters to be right. One day, the inner sciences will be just as respected as the physical sciences. One day....

Computer codes found in fabric of reality!

Sorry about that, must have been a typo, it's fixed! http://www.onbeing.org/program/uncovering-codes-reality/feature/symbols-power-adinkras-and-nature-reality/1460 Here is another link to an article. -
To be frank, your opinion is a religion. It's not based on science. Let me expose you to some experiments using pranic healing, which is a NO-TOUCH form of energy healing that originated in China but was modernized by Master Choa Kok Sui. The treatment is applied by the healer imagining different colors of prana or light emitted from his or her palm chakras to be able to energetically cleanse and charge the patient / space with prana. This healing can occur at thousands of miles away, because prana is a non-local form of energy. Here is a double blind experiment conducted by Andrea Tarabek R.N. who was testing the effects of pranic healing in the birthing room. Neither the hospital staff nor the patients were made aware any healing had been done. Also keep in mind that only the ROOM had been pranically cleaned before the patients and staff went in. In quantum physics they would call this a conditioned space. http://www.pranichealingukire.co.uk/BirthRoomResearch.pdf In some cases the results of labor complications were reduced by a STAGGERING 74%!! In another study over 800 trials were conducted by Dr. Joie Jones at UC Irvin's radiology department, testing the effect of pranic healing on cells in a petri dish. Keep in mind that even if the healer was 6000 miles away it made NO difference on the power or effect of the healing treatments. http://www.pdf-archive.com/2014/06/05/zellkulturen-drjones-dt/zellkulturen-drjones-dt.pdf I had to upload the pdf from my personal collection, as it has disappeared from the internet. Feel free to distribute it. Here is another experiment that is also non-local. In this experiment the effects of the coherent waves of prana generated by meditators are being tested on a large scale. You can see over and over again, if the square root of a population engages in meditation simultaneously, the cumulative effect is enough to reduce crime and chaos in that area in a statistically significant way, repeatedly. It's called, The Maharishi Effect: http://maharishi-programmes.globalgoodnews.com/maharishi-effect/research.html Just to play quantum devil's advocate about "god." To me okay, to me... "God" if you wish to call Tao that exists in a state of quantum uncertainty, both 1/2 existing and 1/2 not existing. This is the fundamental explanation behind yin and yang or what Kabbalists call yesh and ayin, infinity and nothingness, being and non-being. People spend so much time arguing over such paradoxes, not realizing the the glass is both half full AND half empty, the ideas are not mutually exclusive. It is best to remain in the Buddhist perspective of non-attachment, even to your "faith" in you scientific "theories." Atheism too is a belief system, keep that in mind. I have long ago stopped believing in believing, i suggest you tone down the hubris and spend some more time reading instead of spreading your ignorance and calling thousands of years of research ignorance and a crutch.

Maybe not the rings, but I do believe electromagnetic pulsing technology can have a drastic effect on ones nervous system, because nerve cells are bio-electrical in nature. As Dr. Oz said, it simply goes places medicines have trouble getting to.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20PsHzOp5JI I don't know if we can keep saying it's b.s. anymore guys. Magnetic therapy is even on mainstream television now thanks to Dr. Oz. I've had Alex Chiu's rings for years, and have slept with them. I can say from experience they work, you can feel the energy coursing through your arms the moment you put them on! Will they make you immortal, NO but that doesn't mean there isn't any benefit! Magnetic qigong is not b.s., I suggest you try it before you knock it!! p.s. Peter IS over charging for his foot pads, I recommend you look else where.

There are countless immortals also called Buddhas that have attained the rainbow body, but it is said that the Immortal of compassion is the main avatar that manifests on the earth plane over and over again. This compassion immortal has taken the form of many individuals like Rama, Krishna, Buddha, and probably Jesus. You always see pictures of jesus with a flaming heart and a halo on his head signifying the acitvation of his crown and heart chakras, this is known as bodhicitta in Buddhism and xin or heart-mind in Taoism. Grand Master Choa allegedly was directly taught by the immortal Padmasambhava, who said he was also the avatar Rama in a previous life, this in my mind connects Quan Yin, Avalokitesvara, and Vishnu as coming from ONE source. Dr. Brent Landau translated a 1700 year old syriac document that was kept in the vatican (no surprise there!) that proclaimed that the star child Jesus manifested to the magi from the star of bethlehem and told them he had been here countless times to aid man kind, if I remember the Buddha said the same thing. The book is now known as the Revelation of the Magi. This could possibly mean that the immortal Jesus could very well be a manifestion of a universal christ that has appeared in every religion, which brings universal meaning as to why Jesus said, only through me can we go to the father. People really need to stop all this arguing and brutality against other religions, that not what these avatars wanted.

I believe they are the same. The crown chakra when activated looks like a golden crown made of lotus petals, and the upturned petals of the lotus act as a cup for collecting divine knowledge from the antakharana (rainbow bridge). The forehead chakra is the source of the lower buddhic faculty where as the crown is the higher buddhic faculty. All of this is intricately connected with the mental seed, or blue pearl (mani) within the golden lotus. Without Quan Yin (unconditional love, forgiveness, mercy, compassion) becoming one with the Dao is not possible. Om Mani Padme Hum (Hail to the blue jewel within the golden lotus)

The lalata chakra has many functions, even those beyond mere etheric sight. Astral vision would allow one to see across vast distances like a form of sensory bi-location. A person with astral sight could read a book without opening it or observe someone even though they are thousands of miles away. The center for direct knowing however is located on the crown chakra, this is known as the higher buddhic faculty. When the crown is fully activated, one is said to be guided directly by the Dao itself through the heart-mind complex. The crown cannot open without opening the heart first since they are twins. This is the meaning of bodhicitta, which means in english, intuitive intelligence. Without the correct motivation i.e. compassion bodhicitta is not possible. A person with an activated crown chakra for lack of a better word is guided directly by the force. A person trained in utilizing a fully activated crown chakra could know things without being taught, it's the closest the human instrument in it's current form can come to omniscience. This person could know physics for example without having read or seen a single book on physics. A fully activated crown chakra would give one access to the akashic records, and could therefore know the past and present. In my mind a prophet / mahasiddha would have a fully activated crown, making their perceptions not limited to time or space, as well as having a fully activated forehead chakra, which allows them to see angels and other celestial beings. An example of someone with an activated crown and higher buddhic faculty in modern times may be someone like Edgar Cayce. Only a trained yogi can distinguish between actual experience and those astral pictures created by imagination and keen desire in the akashic records.

Grand Master Choa Kuk Sui who developed pranic healing said the ajna chakra (located right between the eyes) is not the third eye even though it is often erroneously called that. The ajna chakra is the center of higher will power, emotion, and mental functioning. It's twin is the solar plexus chakra, the center of the lower will and negative emotions. The lalata chakra located in the middle of the forehead is the true psychic center or 3rd eye, this is not known by many people. http://fusionanomaly.net/shiva.html You can see in this image of the Bodhisattva Mahakala, the bindu inbetween the eyes represents the ajna chakra (mistakening called the 3rd eye) , and the vertical eye in the middle of his forehead represents the yin / yang eye or lalata chakra. The lalata chakra has 2 functions, yin and yang. Yin vision allows one to see terrestrial spirits like ghosts and djinn where as yang vision allows one to see prana, angels, and buddhas.
-
The entire point of yin vision is to see spirits so you can give them freedom from hallucinatory existence in the bardo as a wandering and often hungary ghost. Ghosts often attach to people because they need prana or energy to live. 5 thunder magic is a hybrid of Vajrayana / Taoist exorcistic methodologies, but it is a violent method that injures the ghosts and should ONLY be used on violent spirits. Personally, I prefer Tibetan bardo chod to liberate ghosts, because it is a compassionate non-violent method. Most ghost are not violent, just confused (lke in a dream) and hungry. http://www.tibetanchod.com/curriculum/bardo-chod/ Yin vision is also useful to see if the cause of a persons suffering or illness is spiritually related. Mak Tin Si not not trained or initited into ANY Taoist orders. He is a self proclaimed master. I'd suggest you learn ritual from an authentic linage master like Lama Jinpa, who has gone thorugh the traditional 3 year 3 month solitary retreat to EARN the title of Lama. Guru is a title that gets thrown around FAR too loosely here in the west.

I've noticed quite a few people on this forum are interested in the effects of the padmasana (full lotus) and with good reason, it is the most superior asana to use during meditation. The full lotus is depicted in ancient art across various cultures ranging from Egypt to Japan. It doesn't matter if you're Taoist, Buddhist, Hindu etc... this posture is ubiquitously known as the ultimate meditation asana. While this asana is extremely potent it can also damage your knees. It is 100% essential first to stretch the legs and the body to comfortably accomodate this position rather than painfully forcing your body into the posture. As we all know Taoism is about the natural way, not forcing. If you're forcing your legs into the position than is can cause permanent damage to your knees over time. With that being said I HIGHLY recommend this book called Becoming the Lotus: http://www.amazon.co...ming full lotus It's an absolutley indespensible resource to learn to master the padmasana WITHOUT causing any damage to the knees. Enjoy! Adam

I agree with Songtsan, full lots is not necessary to begin meditation, but it is something each yogi should aspire to achieve. Purification is the initial step of ANY path of internal alchemy be it Taoist, Hindu, or Buddhist. If you practice the techniques in the book during purification stage, by the time you are ready for Tummo or Kan and Li you should be able to comfortably sit in the full lotus, that way you maximize the bliss of the psychic heat generated during meditation. Master Chunyi Lin stated that 20 minutes of padmasana is equivilent to 4 hrs. of any other sadhana.

Hello everyone and how are you, haven't been on in a LONG time, but I need some advice. I am trying to learn sexual kung fu and would like some tips from you guys on how to go about doing it. I have found that Michael Winn and Mantak Chia have excellent sources on taoist healing love techniques and I have practices quite a few of them but I am still having a problem mastering injaculation. Even though I am doing the big draw I find that I still get that tingling feeling in my penis like it wants to ejaculate. How do overcome this feeling of wanting to ejaculate to experience injaculation? What are the best sources for learning sexual kung-fu besides the ones I mentioned above. namaste, Immortal

There are authentic Taoist methods of internal alchemy out there just like there are valid methods of Taoist ritual magick.

I don't consider it to be overly negative to warn somebody about a con artist. Negativity is part of life. Even when one does good some evil is still done, this is the central theme of yin and yang. The idea it to do more good than harm. Can you show me something that does absoute good with no harm what so ever. Such a thing does not exist in all the universe. Personal hygiene kills billions of bacteria, eating food kills plants, animals, and insects, and taking medicine kills pathogens. Some small negativity can be used to prevent greater suffering, which is what I'm trying to do with this post. It's unrealistic and fanatical to try and go through life without accruing ANY negativity. People can get effects from fake talismans if they believe enough, remember faith is the true source of power. People can get effects from placebos; even though there is no real medicine in there, just like people can get effects from talismans even though they are not empowered. It doesn’t mean because the placebo is real we should give up on pharmacy or magick, because they both work beautifully. I don't care if Mak doesn't believe in karma; Mak is not a Taoist or a Buddhist priest so he has no authority to comment on it at all. If he doesn't believe in karma maybe he should create a proof that refutes Newton's 2nd law of motion. Until then, it’s just his personal belief. I can't sue Mak because religions can make all kinds of claims. Churches say Jesus walked on water, even though there's no proof. Religion is about faith not concrete facts you can prove or disprove, that's science. Taoists make money just like the church, through people donating money to the temple. But they are not requesting an inordinate amount of money like 2000 dollars, this is a whole different ball of wax. Most Taoist who make talismans will do it for any donation be it 10 dollars or100 dollars. Taoism is not a business my friend, it's a spiritual path. I'm not against the idea that you charge for your services, but you should not be getting rich off making talismans, it was never meant for that purpose. If you charge just so you can take care of the temple and to feed the monks, that's okay. In Taoism it's traditional to donate rice and oil (for lamps). Talismans take like 2 hrs. to make, even 50 dollars is too much, that's 25 bucks an hour. Most people don't get paid 25 bucks an hour at their job. My wife is an RN and she doesn't make 25 bucks an hour. For example... http://www.tibetanchod.com/healing/remote/ I am getting a year long remote healing chod ritual done and as a donation I gave the monestary $125 dollars. Through out the year I get a minimum of 60 rituals done to clear obstacles and bad karma. Can you imagine how many hours it takes to do 60 rituals, and Mak wants to charge $50 bucks for 1 measily talisman that will wear out in a year, I don't think so!
-
It is OBVIOUS that Mak Tin Si is a fraud. I mean look at the ridiculous prices he charges for paper talismans, 2000 dollars WTH! I only know a few initiated Taoist priests and ALL of them say it's against their sect to charge for paper talismans. The rule for esoteric teaching requires rejecting the notion of “Dao for Dollars.” Mak claims that ALL religions and every sect of Taoism besides his own is evil. He goes on and on about how evil Buddhism is and how "pure" his sect is from the influence of Buddhism. Then he turns right around an puts up links about 5 thunder magick which is a famous system of entity clearing (exorcism) in Taosim. 5 thunder magick is a combination of Taoist AND Tantric Buddhist ritual. Dr. Michael Saso, professor emeritus at the University of Hawaii wrote a book called Taoist Master Chuang which details the complete origins of 5 thunder magick using authentic manuscripts. 5 thunder magick has undeniable Buddhist influence, Mak can't claim his sect is pure Taoism if he practices 5 thunder magick. Dr. Saso has to be one of the most educated westerners on the rites and rituals of Taosim, his resume speaks for itself. http://www.michaelsaso.org/?page_id=5 It is my greatest hope that Mak will stop using the Dao to scam westerners, it's just creating bad karma for himself and a bad name of the teachings of Daoism.

Theory: Psychopathic Mind Origins and Animal Flesh Consumption
Immortal replied to eye_of_the_storm's topic in General Discussion
I have been a vegetarian for 8 years and it has tremendous benefits for qi flow, karma, and the environment it's not perfect. But we must remember even eating plants we must kill HUNDREDS of insects with organic or synthetic pesticides. Not to mention plants must must die for us to eat them, there is no escaping this accumulation of negative karma. Chanting the six character bright mantra (Om Ma Ni Pad Me Hung) of quan yin/avalokitesvara 7 times before eating purifies the karma of killing the animals, bugs, or plants from the produciton of the food. While vegetarianism is definatly a HUGE step in the right direction, it is still not pefect and will never be. As Master Chunyi Lin as stressed so many times, love and compassion is the greatest power in the universe for healing and spiritual cultivation. -
Sheng Zhen wrote a cool article on the full lotus, which has a myriad of energetic and conscious benefits, but I am curious about the an even more difficult feat. The full lotus is a pretty difficult asana, but with practice is easily possible. BUT the kechari mudra seems almost impossible to me. For those that don't know what the kechari mudra is, it's supposedly the most powerful mudras in yoga. The benefits of this mudra are supposedly astounding when practiced during energy work or contemplation. I can touch the uvula with the tip of my tongue, but putting it behind it it's a complete different story. I heard that some people use a cutting technique by making very very small cuts in the frenum over time to allow the tongue to do it, but there are exercises that supposedly stretch the frenum as well to access this very powerful mudra. I can't say for sure, but supposedly when the mudra is performed it automatically creates the microcosmic orbit, or at best makes the process easier and or more powerful. Have any of you heard of it, but a bigger question is, if anybody on this forum can do it.

In general people who feel spacy or floaty eating a vegetarian diet feel so for 1 main reason and that's because a vegetarian diet is very yin and cooling to the body. Just about all vegetables and fruits are very yin, even milk is considered a yin food. In TCM eating a vegetarian diet would be considered unbalanced due to the lack of the warming qualities of meat products. BUT, you can counter this quite easily by consuming yang tonics which are VERY warming to the body, much more so than meat! The supreme yang tonic comes from an animal, but like milk is it collected without killing the animal, it's known as deer antler. If you wish to energetically ground your body, deer antler is the way to do it. It has FAR more yang (warming energy) than you could ever get from meat and all without having to kill the deer! http://www.dragonherbs.com/prodinfo.asp?number=006 Most sexual tonics are very yang and warming to the body, so I'd suggest any vegetarian should look there for more yang energy. Living in cold places like Tibet make being vegetarian much harder because of how cold it is there.

Taoism is about the natural way, and to me there is nothing natural about killing animals. No human naturally enjoys violence against animals, and if you do it's actually a psychological sign of a sociopath. When practicing Taoism we are trying to restore our original nature like we had as children, children abhor animal violence! In America we keep dogs as pets, but remember in China where Taoism comes from they eat dogs! Would you agree to killing a dog? We all see dogs have personalities, feelings, and emotions; this is true for all animals. I've seen people cry when their dogs die, as human beings our natural instinct is to love animals. We even go as far as to have no kill animal shelters, but if you mention vegetarianism people look at you like a freak. I think we believe dogs and cats are better than other animals, well the truth is they are not! All animals are equal. It's a hypocritical double standard to think otherwise. As adults we become calloused to the idea of eating meat and killing animals, but children are still innocent and they will be quite upset at the sight of an animal being slaughtered in front of their very own eyes, many of them would scream and cry. Why is this if meat eating is natural? I think we can all agree taking children to a vegetable garden is okay, but taking them to a factory farm slaughter house would probably give them nightmares for ages. No one in this room would bat an eye lash if I put some raw fruits and veggies into a blender, but I think we would all cringe in disgust to see a live rabbit get chopped up in a blender. Humans do not relish and salivate at the sight of internal organs and blood, a matter of fact the sight of blood makes some people sick and can even make them pass out. It's easy to go to the store and see nice shiny meat packaged and clean, but if you have the kill the animal with your bare hands it would be a completely different story for most of us. If you had to pick would you rather live next to a slaughter house or a vegetable farm? My feelings say that I do not feel right to see an animal in pain or suffering, so that's what I go with. If you enjoy killing animals then maybe meat eating is natural for you but the animals screams and blood bother me personally. I don't need a bible, the Vedas, or the Tao te ching to see that. Taoism was first developed based on observation, observe a child's unconditioned reaction to culling an animal, and then tell me if it's natural. To each their own.

It is true, Padmasambhava and many tantric cultivators of Tibet are not vegetarian, this is for 2 reasons, 1 because the tantric methods practiced by those monks, nuns, yogis, and yoginis clear massive amounts of karma and 2 in the arid lands of Tibet a vegetarian diet would have been difficult or impossible. The initiatory practices of Vajrayana called ngondro is to clear karma. Practices like tru sol, nyungne, and chod as well as meditation upon Vajrasattva are used to purify karma to attain enlightenment and siddhis no matter what you eat. But few of us here in the west practice such methods, so a vegetarian diet is highly recommended. Unless you are constantly practicing rituals and meditations to remove karma it is not advised to eat meat, because killing animals generates bad karma which will make reaching enlightenment and your life harder. Because we are not killing animals out of necessity, rather out of pleasure. If you live in the harsh lands Tibet (or some place like that) and don't have access to fresh vegetables then you may have no choice but to eat meat, but most of us here in America don't have that problem. The Buddha did not wish to make vegetarianism a requirement to be Buddhist just in case people who didn't have access to vegetarian food could still cultivate, but the ideal has always been compassion towards ALL sentient beings. Many monks and nuns lived on what ever was offered to them, so they did not have the luxury to turn down food just because it had meat in it. But few of us in the west live on the street with a begging bowl. If you are a fully initiated practitioner of anuttara tantra, then I think it's okay to eat meat in moderation because of the EXTENSIVE karma purification rituals involved in that tantra, but most of us do not have the dedication or time to practice the highest yoga tantra; after all, who here has done the required 3 year 3 month solitary retreat to call themselves a true tantric yogi? Eating meat is not something to be indulged in because it brings suffering and pain upon other sentient beings. If you have no other choice but to eat meat because of your situation or health, then by all means do what you must, because killing yourself to maintain an ideal vegetarian diet would slow your progress to enlightenment which is against the teachings of the Buddha. Most people in the west do not have monetary, locational, or health reasons that would prevent them from adhering to a vegetarian diet, people eat meat because it's a pleasure not a necessity. The Buddha did speak of people suffering in hell because of the addiction to the pleasure of meat eating. What you sow is what you reap, if you want to be born as a factory farm animal in your next life; be my guest, I'd prefer to avoid the pain and eat some beans, raw dairy, and grains to get my protein. Eating a mostly vegan diet with plenty of raw foods and moderate raw dairy and raw honey is very very healthy. I personally don't believe in a 100% vegan diet because humans are omnivorous by nature; moderate raw milk intake is an excellent way to get animal protein in your diet without killing the animal and generating bad karma. It's funny people try to justify eating meat by using examples like Padmasambhava, that would be like justifying a 12,000 calorie a day diet for health because that's what Michael Phelps the gold medalist eats. Most people do not do enough exercise to eat that many calories, just like most people do not practice enough purification to eat meat. Anuttara tantra yogis are like Olympic athletes, unless you train full time like them, you can't live like them.

There are 2 parts to the 3rd eye. Just like you have 2 physical eyes, you also have 2 spiritual eyes. Yin eyes are associated with guests of compassion (humans, hell-beings, hungry spirits, animals, demi-gods, etc) and debtor guests (beings we have wronged in the past); where as yang eyes are associated with higher guests (Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Mahadevas etc...) and guests of honor (angels/devas). On a side note I wouldn't buy too much into the teachings of Mak Jo Si, while I do not know him personally I believe he's a fraud. Mak claims that just about every religion and Taoist sect is evil but his own; on his own website he claims he HATES Buddhism. I find this extremely hard to believe since most Taoists initiates I've interacted with like Dr. Saso professor emeritus at the University of Hawaii who wrote the highly acclaimed book Teachings of Taoist Master Chuang also practice esoteric Buddhism. http://www.chiinnature.com/badpaths.html Taoism and Buddhism especially Vajrayana had a deep impact on each other in China. 5 Thunder Magick which is a famous form of Taoist exorcism is basically a hybrid between Taoist and Vajrayana ritual. We would not have the famous methods of 5 thunder magick without the colorful influences of the Mongol Vajrayana mendicants. Any cultivator that says anything else is ignoring the history of the Sung dynasty when 5 thunder magick became popular and respected. The esoteric Buddhist sects brought a new kind of mudra, mantra, and mandala style of meditative ritual that resonated well with liturgies of orthodox Taoism. Mak claims he's a powerful Taoist exorcist who hates Buddhism. Unless he came up with another way to exorcise spirits without using 5 thunder magick, then what he's saying is an oxymoronic statement because 5 thunder magick contains Buddhist techniques.
