Bringing up cats and birds and instincts to kill is a big issue in terms of personality. House cats are possible the top reason for song birds going extinct in the U.S. If anyone questions this - there has been hard science published on it and recently even video cams put on house cats - finding out they hunt extensively and often don't bring the kill back to the house. So then "cuttie little kitty" comes back to the house all innocent to get their free food when they just finished a killer run for fun. You find that in other animals also like Orca Whales - killer whales - playing with their kills for seemingly sadistic reasons. But anyway as far as instincts - there is an interesting doc on this - killer instincts and animals. I reference it in my book. But before I get to that - your story about the hawk wanting to show your mom that she couldn't stop the hawk from killing a bird - this is very believable. I had a very close friend, a pet parakeet that I got the day it left its nest and so it really imprinted on me before he could learn to fly. We let the bird fly free around the house and he was basically a member of the family - he would shower on my shoulder and various other activities as part of the family. But sometimes the bird got mad at me - and one time he was in his cage kind of in a bad mood and so I put my hand in to encourage him to come out and he hopped over and bit my hand. That was the only time he ever did that but after he did it then he was fine with me. It was obvious to me that he had held a grudge against me - for some unknown reason to me at the time - but after he was able to express his anger that he quickly had recovered - he just had to communicate his grudge to me. So I'm sure a hawk would have this same level of mentality regarding your mom - having a grudge about her scaring the hawk off and wanting to take an extra effort to show her she didn't stop him. haha. O.K. now back to the killing instinct. There was a fascinating experiment on melanin and adrenaline in animals. http://blogs.scientificamerican.com/guest-blog/2010/09/06/mans-new-best-friend-a-forgotten-russian-experiment-in-fox-domestication/ and Now this actually fits with qigong theory since black is the pigment of food that increases kidney energy for more will power. the science supports this now - melanin increases adrenaline. From qigong science - dopamine is turned into serotonin - instead of dopamine turning into cortisol stress. http://discovermagazine.com/1994/oct/ascentofthedog434 Anyway Gurdjieff says that modern humans are controlled by their Kundabuffer - the energy blockage in the lower back. And so because of the Kundabuffer - I saw that modern humans are stuck in the anger-fear-sex cycle - because the dopamine gets turned by the male ejaculation into cortisol stress - instead of through qigong training the dopamine gets turned into serotonin. So as far as whether humans have free will or are controlled by their instincts like animals - the issue is a bit complicated - it is a choice rather to not be controlled by the lower emotions but with that choice also comes certain physiological changes I would say. So I think "free will" is a bit of a catch-22 issue. Also I think personalities are somewhat limited - some psychologies argue their are a limited set of personalities and so every person in the world fits into those sets - no matter what culture they're from, etc. Personally I find that bunk and demeaning. So for example my friend's dog was sick with cancer and so the qigong master actually helped heal the dog but whenever he did the healing - the dog actually left her body - by her spirit - so that the qigong master could focus on healing the body of the dog. So then when the dog died its spirit spent several days with the qigong master - hanging out having fun - and the qigong master said he learned a lot from the dog and that it was an ancient spirit. Now it makes for a wild story but part of that maybe the energy of the qigong master having that affect on the dog - like the cow that was a best friend of Ramana Maharshi - it is said when the cow died he liberated her soul so that she never had any more reincarnations. by the way I guess it is black house cats that supposedly have less instinct to kill - which is ironic considering melanin increases adrenaline. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2415895/Cats-help-aloof--OUR-fault-Humans-cultivating-prehistoric-killer-felines-letting-tame-cats-breed.html Yeah so cats have been domesticated a much shorter time than dogs and hence - they really are killing machines.

The Soul, what is it? what theories and proofs do we have?

yeah so based on that new science on cilia microtubules as transducers of light - this proved to me that when we visualize light in the lower tan tien we are actually activating the brain of the lower tan tien and this is the secret of tummo energy, etc. yeah so how do we know this? I already knew about this data. So basically when we visualize light it's proven that we increase the light - why? Because we're already made of light, we just didn't know it yet - so we are resonating with who we are already. Now we know that we can apply that to create the lower tan tien. Pretty amazing. So I did that - visualizing red light - which activates the mitochondria - sure enough the lower tan tien got unusually hot very fast. I focused on one color of light - because the light therapy uses this monochrome approach. -

thanks! very cool - the book teaches reverse breathing to activate the emotional brain - and then says it's the source of prana qi psychic energy - and then teaches a form of the small universe exercise - breathing out the various nodes of the body. Pretty amazing for 1920. thanks. -

So yeah all the cilia, microtubule-based, transduce and receive light waves as signaling. Fascinating stuff and provides the physiology for synchronized light as the spirit and soul.... -

Actually the original qigong master was just posting on his facebook how he always thinks with his lower tan tien first - and that's what grounds him. You make a great point - the microtubules are through the body including the neurons in the intestines and the heart - thereby explaining the "three tan tiens" as the focus of neuron microtubules. -
What became of Qigong Master Yan Xin?
voidisyinyang replied to NotVoid's topic in Systems and Teachers of
awesome. I used to practice with the Yan Xin student group at the University of MInnesota - all Chinese except one other white older dude - like a homeless guy. Anyway I first went to an event when they brought in these Canadian Chinese Yan Xin practitioners and so we did the meditation and they had a mike in the audience for anyone to report their experience. I said I had felt a lot of heat - in my stomach - since they had asked if anyone had felt that. I didn't know what that meant at the time - I was ... 27 years old at the time. So then I went to more of the group meditations - just a small room - but they showed the Yan Xin Superman documentary made by the Chinese government - all in Mandarin but the Chinese students translated for me and the other guy. It was an impressive doc with the nuclear scientists being interviewed about the experiments that are mentioned online. Changing the decay rate of radiation, etc. So then when I met Chunyi Lin in 1999 - then I realized he had been first healed by Yan Xin - what a coincidence! haha. I continued practicing the Yan Xin step one meditation cassette along with the spring forest qigong. I figured they would compliment each other and indeed Chunyi seemed to incorporate quite a bit of it. So - but then as my energy increased and then Chunyi had said I had an enlightenment experience - but also after that experience I truly felt who I was was not any material reality around me - and so I got rid of the Yan Xin meditation tape. I didn't think I needed it anymore. I also got rid of this old journal I had - over 500 pages - it had documented a precognitive dream I had recorded in 1995 which came true in 1998 in great detail. haha. Oh well. Anyway when I told Chunyi about how I got rid of the Yan Xin meditation tape he said my mind was still confused. So then I was pondering something Chunyi taught in his level 3 retreat - when I had my energy very strong - and it took me a few years to finally figure out what I had been confused about. LIstening to the Yan Xin healing vid right now - the reactions are better than a Beatles or Elvis early rock show. haha. Seriously you can feel the qi energy - as Yan Xin said his energy is imprinted in his qi meditation cassettes also. Soon after the crack down on Yan Xin - then the Minneapolis Yan Xin group required that people take a long lecture class of several weeks before they could purchase the meditation cassette again. I'm not even sure they are still teaching in Minneapolis. nope - there's Spring Forest and Falun Gong and another type of qigong but no longer Yan Xin. Too bad. That was the "free" spiritual training center. But yeah someone had sent me the Yan Xin qigong lecture from online somewhere so I did listen to it again. Don't have it anymore. But these 13 hours of Yan Xin healing qi-emitting lectures should do the job. -

voidisyinyang replied to 4bsolute's topic in General Discussion
think of it like when your bladder is bursting - that's a hella pressure but your pc muscle should be able to hold it. takes training. Try stopping in mid-piss with your pc muscles and then restarting the piss again. The diaphragm muscle is also the biggest muscle in the body from my understanding and when the qi moves out of the lower tan tien it turns into fluid - to get it back into the lower tan tien you rely on deep fast hard breathing with the diaphgram - so I use the horse stance with thighs parallel to the ground. But the initial stopping is pc muscle. I think he means reverse breathing - pelvic inhaling and low abdominal expansion is reverse breathing I think. yeah he says horse stance also! Yeah that's for the parasympathetic sublimation I think. nope... Umm full lotus helps. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZtoQv6V0rePfArrgbPxvWQ His butt breathing vid gets an age confirmation. haha. male ejaculation control training - computer voice. -

How do I experience the sense of oneness, right now, in this moment?
voidisyinyang replied to DreamBliss's topic in General Discussion
You can fly - the original qigong master levitated up 9 feet, spiraling while in full lotus. But obviously that type of training is intense. Another description of it is found in the biography of the most famous Thai Buddhist monk - Phra Achra Mun - his colleague began levitating next to him. At first when he became consciously aware he was levitating then he crashed back down. So he had to integrate the three in one unison that I mentioned - he had to be able to be consciously aware he was levitating while at the same time not breaking his resonance with the formless awareness that created that energy. If you want the practical details of how to do that type of training then study the book "Taoist Yoga: Alchemy and Immortality." But to feel the oneness very quickly you want to active the three in oneness - a great exercise to do this is called "moving of yin and yang" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_1sPDntOTs The left hand is held over the lower body - the reason being that the left hand is the dragon solar yuan shen light energy - fire energy and so you hold it over the lower body which is water. The right hand is hold over the upper body - the reason being the right hand is the tiger lunar water yuan qi energy and so you hold it over the upper body which is the fire energy. By doing that same technique with the knees bent, tongue against the roof of the mouth, eyes closed, smile on the face, visualizing rainbow light - then you hold your hands like that for maybe a minute - you will begin to feel activation of the "oneness." Then you slowly rotate the hands - and it's just like a battery - you are charging up your energy. If you do that exercise 2 hours a day nonstop then you would open up the qi channels and eventually you could fly if you sit in full lotus meditation for 2 months nonstop. haha. -
Great interview with Hameroff and Penrose - their quantum consciousness model has really been validated with hard evidence. Fascinating that ultrasound activates the microtubules with quantum entanglement as the "oneness" of the universe and our brains....

yeah and heaviness is a sign of depression - heavy breathing, sighing - smoking causes sadness as a lung blockage. I actually - once I was in full lotus alone at work. My coworker walked in the room and when our eyes met I was overwhelmed by his sadness. I blurted out: Why are you so sad! - he was shocked into silence since he had said nothing, was not grimacing or anything - no reason for me to think he was sad. So in the silence then I said to him: You know smoking causes sadness. After that he quit smoking and then the sadness went away.

The Soul, what is it? what theories and proofs do we have?
voidisyinyang replied to thelerner's topic in General Discussion
"a scientific argument for an eternal soul." I've corresponded with Hameroff and he is now - with some input I gave him also - focused on ultrasound resonating the microtubules. ultrasound also activates the piezoelectric collagen, the most common protein in the body. -
The Soul, what is it? what theories and proofs do we have?
voidisyinyang replied to thelerner's topic in General Discussion
I would say the soul is more like the formless awareness itself as a kind of spacetime vortex that eternally creates energy. the spirit is our stored holographic information along with its energy imprints - the emotional electrochemical energy and the qi energy. So if a person has a strong lower emotional energy imprint then their spirit is controlled by anger, fear, lust, sadness, worry - and this is a lower frequency energy that holds their spirit closer to earth. I have seen actual spirits of dead people - they are shaped like humans - floating next to earth - in this case they came in from outside the room, a building in the forest, and the spirits hovered around the qigong master who said he was healing the spirits, sending them back into the Emptiness - into their soul as formless awareness. So to go into a deeper level of your own spirit is to raise the frequency of the energy into more intense light - so the light at higher frequency is more blue and violet as intensity is based on frequency when dealing with quantum energy. But then on classical terms intensity is defined by amplitude - meaning the more of the light energy there is then the stronger it is. In the latter case then the light turns more gold as it accumulates more; it is more integrated into the qi energy of the body - the two of them originally unified at the heart of the person and the universe. So to send a spirit back to the Emptiness is to clear out those lower frequency blockages and to increase the qi energy of the spirit so then the light that the spirit experiences is stronger and brighter. In that case then the qigong master is like a spacetime vortex of the Emptiness - as is described at the end of the Taoist Yoga: Alchemy and Immortality book - the spirits of Mara, the evil thoughts as lust seductress - are sucked into the qigong masters body and then transformed into brighter light as golden light energy. If you want western science theories for this - you have to draw on various sources and combine them yet they all remain incomplete since the foundation of western science is wrong. http://www.slate.com/articles/health_and_science/science/2014/05/quantum_consciousness_physics_and_neuroscience_do_not_explain_one_another.html So here's your typical scientist dismissing quantum consciousness - but the argument he uses is a straw-man claiming that docoherence does not allow for the quantum effects on the molecules. Stuart Hameroff has also disproven that argument - yet the physicist doesn't even mention Hameroff - showing he is clearly out of touch with the subject matter that he is dismissing. This is typical of the mainstream science dismissals on consciousness. So then we get another mainstream science article which tries to dismiss Hameroff - this time citing him. So what does he do? He replies to the article! And so they actually add his reply as an addendum: https://vimeo.com/39982578 Hameroff on his own. -
amoebae - actually this is discussed in Hunt's book on consciousness. Hold..... https://books.google.com/books?id=1V44ZbeTqakC&pg=PA99&lpg=PA99&dq=amoebae+hunt+consciousness&source=bl&ots=kSfpJIrILU&sig=9ZQ0Mzwku9uP7-zp7giQsRN5GDE&hl=en&sa=X&ei=zt4VVZPPMsmWNrjAgpgN&ved=0CCwQ6AEwAg#v=onepage&q=amoebae%20hunt%20consciousness&f=false Yeah there it is.... googlebook link. Fascinating - a larger amoeba eating a smaller one which subsequently escapes and is pursued by the larger who eats the smaller again. After several more escapes the larger gives up.... Another report shows premeditated planning by the amoeba. Fascinating! "...sentient life-worlds are emergent at the level of the protozoa....the most general categories describing the pattern of their behaviors also describes ours." Neurons could be considered as protozoa.... using the same electrochemical potentials for memory, movement, etc.
