http://www.nobledreams.co.uk/viewtopic.php?id=1853 This is a VHS Tape rip of a 3 volume series from Mantak Chia on Taoist philosophy, energy systems, moving energy, and the Microcosmic Orbit. IMO this is really good info. I thought I should put the links out here incase anyone is interested. It's instructional lecture with anatomy and part guided meditation... He shows how to open the primary energy circuit on the body called the Microcosmic Orbit. It's one of probably many kinds of systems and practices you could use to improve yourself.

Yeah if you read "Taoist Yoga" -- the immortal breathing is chapter 10 I think. So basically you practice the small universe -- you can get the C.D. for $11 from http://springforestqigong.com -- that's the best practice - and then as the electromagnetic energy increases then you're not hungry. So in the Level 3 SFQ class the bigu practice is taught. Before I attended the Level 3 retreat I was practicing and my belly got super hot and then I wasn't hungry so I thought I would better prepare for the Level 3 class. So I kept practicing and then the electromagnetic fields got real strong!! So then the middle of my brain created water -- and I figured this was through electrolysis and so I drank only half a glass of water over 8 days. And then the center of my hands and feet pulsated with electromagnetic energy -- so I didn't need to breath much at all. The immortal breathing is when you take this pre-natal chi or the true real kundalini which is the foetal breathing of the feet -- and so you rise that up and then at the same time you lower down the post-natal chi that was first created in the lower tan tien -- you raise that down the front channel of the small universe. So as the practice continues then the shen light increases from the chi and you enter the Emptiness -- nirvikalpa samadhi -- and the top of the skull opens up and you do astral travel and see spirits, etc. This is called the Original Face, the Dharmakaya, the Moon and it's HALF of the alchemical pill -- again it's detailed in the Taoist Yoga book -- I posted that book as a pdf thread.

Yeah the last bigu I did I drank a CASE of beer -- at my relatives over a holiday. It was hilarious. 4 day full lotus session -- and a case of beer. haha. Still that definitely cleaned out my system real good since I had been dumpster diving and eatin fast food for years -- along with health food of course. haha. Still I am tempted to go to http://qigongmaster.com to see if I could do the 7 week bigu cave meditation like Chunyi Lin did! The 7 week bigu is even mentioned in "Taoist Yoga: Alchemy and Immortality"!!

I googled vinegar promotes dampness and I got this: http://books.google.com/books?id=YD-H5tBVNbMC&pg=PA420&lpg=PA420&dq=vinegar+promotes+dampness&source=bl&ots=lZu0ETUsv6&sig=99ZsOo_50eUa8kiIK5SKUcUb4ho&hl=en&ei=x947TNGgBIW8lQe8_b38BQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=4&ved=0CCAQ6AEwAw#v=onepage&q&f=false The same book you recommend -- and it says on the same page that CUCUMBERS promote dampness while VINEGAR "quickly stimulates qi flow." O.K. now I find in this book that a "contraindication" of stagnation in the center burner caused by dampness. http://books.google.com/books?id=80CqL7u0KdIC&pg=PA128&lpg=PA128&dq=vinegar+promotes+dampness&source=bl&ots=dXj-HWr_Ge&sig=xc1Emp1V709WVoAvYRv-aY3rJ3o&hl=en&ei=8t87TN6GNMj_nQeGg7DJDQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=2&ved=0CBYQ6AEwATgK#v=onepage&q=vinegar%20promotes%20dampness&f=false

So I went to http://meditationexpert.com clicked on blog and then typed translation in the search engine and got this: http://www.meditationexpert.com/blog/?s=translation Bodri gives the link of someone else who has a website of free translations they've done. Very cool. Thanks. Ah here's what you were referring to: http://www.meditationexpert.com/blog/2008/04/making-wise-donations/ I’ve used translators, helped coordinate translation efforts or made donations for the translation of all sorts of spiritual books — Buddhist, Taoist, Hindu and so forth. So I know how difficult it is to get things translated.

Ah well then there's the really fascinating issue of SELF-CENSORSHIP. Chomsky talks about self-censorship a lot. I mean if you want to self-censor the book that's cool as well. My dad would give me all his far-right wing books to read but then he would never read the Chomsky books I gave him! haha.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbnFE-b3dlg Here's a fascinating discussion on distribution issues. Copyright is most famously focused on music -- I was influenced by Jacques Attali's book "The Political Economy of Music" -- he was Mitterand's advisor in France.... Anyway he is in this discussion here -- I'm just listening to it now. So Attali says that the "content" should be free but the distribution is not free because of advertising. Of course advertising is tax-deductible for corporations. So that does seem to be the main model -- and advertising IS paid for by the public since it's a tax deduction made up by the public taxes -- corporate welfare. Again it's a fascinating issue. So then they talk about CHINA - ironically (Taoism) -- saying that the musicians in China assume that there will be free distribution of content but the money is made from the personal appearances. Attali makes the same distinction that I made -- piracy is someone trying to SELL something whereas free distribution is not piracy. Anyway Attali argues in his book that music PREDICTS how the rest of society will be structured. It's a fascinating book written in the 1980s -- of course my focus is on music as the model for Taoism, etc.

Well it's an interesting topic to be sure. Personally I'm always "anti-copyright." So yeah I have written books already -- I always have them as "full free preview" so they can be read free online. http://www.lulu.com/product/paperback/deep-disharmony-secrets-of-the-cias-psi-plasma-vortex/11007795 That's my latest book -- enjoy! 175 pages or so. I have tons of written material online all for free reading -- articles, books, etc. http://www.nonduality.com/hempel.htm http://www.nonduality.com/whatis8.htm http://www.lulu.com/content/8177540 http://mierdakosmika.net/?p=48 http://www.hiddenmysteries.org/themagazine/vol12/articles/epi-justice1.shtml http://naturalresonancerevolution.blogspot.com/2010/03/deep-disharmony-mutations-of.html http://web.archive.org/web/20010211031118/lightmind.com/library/hempel/restoring-logos2.html http://www.viewzone.com/rainbow.html http://www.mind-energy.net/archives/151-The-Secret-of-Psychic-Music-Healing.html http://www.mind-energy.net/archives/264-Against-Archytas-How-the-West-Lost-Alchemy-or-Paranormal-Complimentary-Opposite-Harmonics.html http://www.mind-energy.net/archives/259-How-Qigong-or-Taoist-Yoga-Explains-Gurdjieff.html http://www.martialdevelopment.com/blog/qigong-researcher-drew-hempel-interview/ Personally I always thought piracy was if someone else was trying to make money off of someone else's product. But if it's free circulation then I don't see that as piracy. That's my personal view. Obviously if people don't think there should be links to sites that have free downloads then they should complain to the website moderators who can take it to the administrator, etc. Then it could be made policy so people know otherwise. I've never used torrents or anything because personally I don't like the idea of having to register for something since they're could always be some sort of catch to it where they try to make money off of it.

Yeah I'm the same way but still my chi body channels have closed up quite a bit. For real meditation you want to be in full lotus at least 2 hours straight nonstop without any discomfort -- so the chi channels fill the body. In that case you'd probably could stretch pretty easily. When I was in that state I wasn't interested in stretching but more interested in how the electromagnetic fields affected people around me at a distance -- 10 feet, etc. -- more interested in how the chi created telepathy through the middle of my brain, and how I had telekinesis through my hands, and precognitive visions, etc. More interested in seeing spirits, etc. So I never did try stretching. Damn.

Oh yeah and there's a new Symphony of Science music vid!! -
Yeah -- a smooth read. Sounds like a great trip -- I look forward to the rest. I find the short term memory details which are forgotten but then remembered later through writing to be a strange experience. But then when the meditation chi energy accesses the deep brain areas then these forgotten memories -- stored in the hard drive -- get relived. But then in dreams the same memories get all mixed together in strange combinations combined with the subconscious and superconscious insights -- spacetime travel. Yeah Wang Liping talks about this -- or in his biography -- how when most people travel they don't really SEE what is there -- through the third eye visions of spacetime travel in the spirit realm. Chunyi Lin tells this story about when he traveled to southern Minnesota to teach qigong to some old people -- at Rochester where the Mayo Clinic is. His friend was driving with him. It was in the courthouse and Chunyi Lin saw these huge giant spirits guarding the building -- not wanting to be disturbed. He asked his friend what had happened here. It had been where the largest mass hanging in U.S. history took place -- of the Dakota Indians who had risen up against being deprived of their treaty necessities. Anyway so Chunyi Lin had to be super careful not to disturb these giant spirit guardians over the dead Indians while he taught the qigong class.
