Funny the only reason I'm reading and responding to this is because I had this intense dream that woke me early. My mom said, "Why are you up?" I said: "I had a bad dream.... well I didn't feel bad but bad things happened." Essentially I was on this boat with this mafioso dude and it's kind of complicated but the two of us were part of a big secret. Then for some reason he went to the back of the boat with several other people and they all got killed. It was disturbing to dream of so many deaths by gun shot. I was trying to think what caused it. O.K. it must have been this documentary I watched a week ago or so called the Soviet Story since I had thought of it yesterday. Yeah in the U.S. we have the constitution which has freedom of speech -- as long as it's "fair use" and a statement of opinion then we are protected by the Bill of Rights. If you are not selling it then it's fair use. Sometimes copyright will say no reproduction at all is allowed. For example I wrote in a pamphlet that I thought Chunyi Lin was the most powerful qigong master in the U.S. He read it and said to me "You can't write that. You can say I am very wonderful." I just laughed. I mean the paradox being now he's telling me what I can't write yet that demonstrates even more power! haha. I mean I understand why he said it but I was writing my opinion and legally I can do that. I can be sued for libel or defamation but as long as it's a public issue and an opinion then it's protected. For example the "signs of the times" website by Laura who channels the Cassiopeans - the website started attacking this new age healer in Seattle who had been convicted for having some secret homosexual liason with one of his students -- or something like that. Anyway they were calling him a sleezebag, etc. and a big fake, etc. and so he sued the website! haha. The judge threw it out under the SLAPP law which is "Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation" -- it means someone uses their money to stifle free speech. So anyway it's an interesting issue about whether permission is needed since it entails a type of informal master-slave relation -- as if a person has to be feudal or something. haha. Maybe it's a nice thing to do but legally not required -- but then maybe the law is different in other countries. I know the U.K. has vastly different libel defamation laws so a writer who is published in several countries will then be sued in the U.K. since it's easier to be censored -- this happened to a journalist who exposed a Saudi Royalty who was connected to the terrorists of 911.
