A 20 year old French man my god! haha. I was in Paris around 2 a.m. while my flight had a stop over -- I took a cab to see the Eiffel Tower (thanks to someone translating for me for the cabbie). I had to speak Spanish with the cabbie! haha. Then I, after shocked at the smallness of the Eiffel tower -- sorry!! -- I got some $$ from an ATM and this West African accosted me -- in French of course -- no one was around. I was right at the ATM machine. I assumed he wanted $$ but honestly I could not understand a word he said and luckily he was so surprised at my stupidity that he didn't mug me -- it was like 3 a.m. haha. Then I ordered "French" fries -- because that was a joke to me -- but I totally hacked the language -- sorry -- but then I got mayonnaise with the fries. haha. We never do that in the U.S. -- but no big deal. And then the same cabbie took me to the airport. AND THEN I had to wait around till my flight left and all I could think of was JACQUE TATI - sp? -- the film director of comedy based on amazing architectural sets. Well considering the vision quests you've supervised? So how come your so privy to the various Native rituals -- because you're Native or because.... you've "gone Native?" Sri Ramana's teachings and the traditional Advaitic school of thought pioneered by Sri Sankaracharya have many things in common. Sri Ramana often mentioned and is known to have encouraged study of the following classical works: Ashtavakra Gita, Ribhu Gita and Essence of Ribhu Gita, Yoga Vasista Sara,[40] Tripura Rahasya[[41]], Kaivalya Navaneetam,[42] Advaita Bodha Deepika,[43] and Ellam Ondre.[44] However, there are some practical differences with the traditional Advaitic school, which recommends a negationist neti, neti (Sanskrit, "not this", "not this") path, or mental affirmations that the Self was the only reality, such as "I am Brahman" or "I am He", while Sri Ramana advocates the enquiry "Nan Yar" (Tamil, "Who am I").

If you read Ramana Maharshi's actually words -- he differentiates the typical "Neti neti" teaching and instead emphasizes AFFIRMING the SELF -- through logical inference. "Talks with Ramana Maharshi" -- that book -- gives more details I think. Anyway here's one example where he gives the difference between his teaching and the "neti, neti" approach: Question : Is not discarding of the sheaths (neti-neti) mentioned in the sastras? Ramana Maharshi: After the rise of the `I'-thought there is the false identification of the `I' with the body, the senses, the mind, etc. `I' is wrongly associated with them and the true `I' is lost sight of. In order to sift the pure `I' from the contaminated `I', this discarding is mentioned. But it does not mean exactly discarding of the non - Self, it means the finding of the real Self. The real Self is the infinite `I'. That `I' is perfection. It is eternal. It has no origin and no end. The other `I' is born and also dies. It is impermanent. See to whom the changing thoughts belong. They will be found to arise after the `I'-thought. Hold the `I'-thought and they subside. Trace back the source of the `I'-thought. The Self alone will remain. Question : It is difficult to follow. I understand the theory. But what is the practice? Ramana Maharshi: The other methods are meant for those who cannot take to the investigation of the Self. Even to repeat aham Brahmasmi or think of it, a doer is necessary. Who is it? It is `I'. Be that `I'. It is the direct method. The other methods also will ultimately lead everyone to this method of the investigation of the Self. Question : I am aware of the `I'. Yet my troubles are not ended. Ramana Maharshi : This `I'-thought is not pure. It is contaminated with the association of the body and senses. See to whom the trouble is. It is to the `I'-thought. Hold it. Then the other thoughts vanish. Question : Yes. How to do it? That is the whole trouble. Ramana Maharshi : Think `I, I', and hold to that one thought to the exclusion of all others.

Well Pythagoras is quoted along similar lines. My whole masters thesis and subsequent research is based on this concept. I discovered that yang is the Perfect 5th music ratio and yin is the Perfect 4th music ratio -- thereby joining Pythagorean philosophy with Taoist philosophy. The West has completely mistranslated Pythagoras -- for example we always are told Pythagoras stated: "all is number." But that's wrong. He stated: "All is number and harmony." And Harmonia was the Goddess as the Emptiness of Taoism.

This is an important point -- Ramana Maharshi states: "Consciousness is not light." I had a friend who claimed to be a follower of Ramana Maharshi yet even he stated "consciousness is light." It's a very subtle difference -- consciousness creates light as spacetime resonance. All these ways of modeling it are with words which is left-brain dominance. While meditation is LISTENING as logical inference. So if something is experienced -- light, energy, matter -- the logical inference is who IS experiencing this phenomena. Ramana Maharshi taught that yogis get stuck in nirvikalpa samadhi -- so lets say you open up your chakras for real - the head gets soft as it pulsates with electromagnetic fields -- you can see dead spirits, etc. The question is WHAT NOW? It's a big universe right? But much of the Eastern spiritual tradition says your job now is to get to the "highest" astral realm of the universe. In Buddhism says this -- that the final stage is when you can create as many physical bodies as you want which can be in as many places of the universe as you want!! Ramana Maharshi says o.k. but even in the highest astral realm there is still a "you" experiencing the universe and logically the question remains - who is the "you" experiencing this spiritual realm. So Ramana Maharshi says that instead of getting stuck in various different nirvikalpa samadhi astral realms the mind has to be "killed" and can ONLY be "killed" through logical inference of the I-thought. This process means going to the origin of the heart-mind -- on the right side of the heart. Left-brain logical inference activates the left-side vagus nerve which goes to the right side of the heart -- that's why it's called the "direct path." But it is still dependent on sublimating sex energy. Right-brain yoga uses the right-side vagus nerve which goes to the lower body and consciously sublimates the sex energy -- without needing separation from females. The chakras opened up are experienced as a holographic state -- so the OMKARA - the OM of the universe actually CREATES the heart-mind -- not the other way around. No ONE is listening -- we are formed from the complementary opposite resonance of the heart-mind as one with the consciousness of the universe. This is called the 8th level of consciousness in Mayahana Buddhism. In Buddhism though it's emphasized to maintain the ego awareness of formless consciousness. So Ramana Maharshi and Poonjaji both created other physical bodies -- because there was desire by others for them to do so. If you read "Nothing Ever Happens" by David Godman, the biography of Poonjaji, it's described how there was "six" of him who attended his "six" birthday parties at various students' houses. Only Poonjaji DID NOT KNOW HE HAD SIX PHYSICAL BODIES. Other examples are given. So according to Buddhism Poonjaji did not have "supreme complete enlightenment" because he was not consciously aware of this power he had from formless awareness. Advaita Vedanta says it doesn't matter because the real truth is not the ego -- it's JUST the formless awareness as consciousness. Infinite wisdom means ZERO ego -- so it's a paradox. The more enlightened "you" are the LESS there is of "you." Meanwhile the process of infinite energy transformation continues which you are a part of whether you are enlightened or not -- the more we acknowledge this truth, the more we are enlightened, but the less there is of "us" to be enlightened. It's a matter of letting Nature doing the work for us. There is a secret though to how the process of infinite creation takes place -- and that's the yin-yang-emptiness resonance of alchemy. yeah it's how a holograph works -- so there is a self-organizing of information which is a perfect process of instantaneous communication. To us it looks like there is three dimensional spacetime but that's actually a holograph of light creating energy and matter. Then there's a "formless awareness" which resonates spacetime through the yin-yang ratios -- the PRACTICE of this resonance is infinite creation. So we exist within the infinite resonance -- and this will go on forever -- and who "we" are is part of this instantaneous communication. So when we resonate through the yin-yang resonance then whatever "we" need to know is revealed to us -- as part of this impersonal creation process.

Well there is logical inference -- which isn't really Western logic. So when we repeat I-I-I and then listen for the source of the I-thought -- we can INFER that the source of the I-thought is consciousness. But this logical inference is an infinite process of awareness.

I can feel when a traffic light is going to change. Did this in a car full of people while rushing to get to the airport.
