What kind of jumping are you talking about? Is this a mental jump (e.g. collecting knowledge) an awareness jump (wisdom/enlightenment) or a physical jump (e.g. teleportation) - or perhaps you are talking about all of the above?

I tried water skrying. I could never get the hang of it. There's something just right about earthen materials. I've yet to get any meaningful information from these experiences other than the "hi, I see you" kind of vibe. -

I stare at gravel, sand and other stone surfaces. Tiles in the shower work well, as do dirty carpets. After a minute or two shapes begin to appear, either animal or human or other. I feel these are spirit communications. Maybe I'm crazy. How can you judge your own mental state anyway...? -

Tao is Dao. These are alternate spellings for the same thing. -

According to the Book of Changes, Heaven is the Creative whereas Earth is the Receptive. All begins in Heaven and is realized on Earth. Each - Heaven and Earth - requires the other. Tao is the term we use to describe this relationship. -
Whatever you are doing, STOP! Take several deep breathes. In. Out. In. Out. Feel the ground beneath your feet. Feel the air in your lungs. Imagine a magnificent GOLD LIGHT showering down upon you. Let the light flow over you so that all you see is gold. All you feel is gold. Ask the gold light for protection. Believe that is can and will protect you. Remain this way for several moments, then quietly resume your day.

That's a difficult task. Even translating from Chinese to Chinese is not easy, given the period of time that has elapsed and the changes in meaning of symbols and underlying culture. You end up with cryptic statements such as "the perfect square has no corners." Meditation is your friend when this happens. Sometimes the texts act like koans and can't really be translated. The meaning (if there was one) is lost in time... -
