  1. The perfect weapon

Whatever the case may be, smiling more really could increase your chances of survival. https://divineconsciousness451476739.wordpress.com/2019/08/28/the-vagus-nerve-compassion-empathy-heals/
  2. Is chi hardening a thing ?

Human body is definitely capable of amazing transformations. Not always as romantic as we might think though. Sometimes "directing energy" into something really is only going to take a lot of hard work over a long period of time? ( dont try this at home!)
  3. The perfect weapon

Aren't there only a few thousand deaths reported world wide from this? And of those it's often the elderly or with some preexisting immune compromise. It's terribly sad, yes, but why is this such a thing? Just as many are killed all the time by the run-of-the-mill flu virus that doesn't have a trendy name and alarmist media coverage. This virus has some novel abilities for quick spreading, but seems far from weaponized. It's tempting to see something corrupt at play, but a lot of fake news is just sensationalist number crunching. And the inevitable followups of "Look how smart and heroic the establishment is in containing and treating this threat! Without us you might die!"

  6. Is this any good? Asking for a friend.
  7. Why gendao is worth having on this forum

Welcome back! I see your last posts before this week was on July 2019, around the exact time that the "No more right-wing bullshit" proclamation, and removal of moderation committee. I was afraid you might've left along with the other members who didn't jive with all that, but glad to hear it was just a coincidence. I guess you could say there's been a bit of resettling and evolution, but seems the community is strong. Let's leave this thread as an example, as the OP indicates. I look forward to hearing some of your new stories!
  8. Say Something Nice About Someone Chain!

@Earl Grey is even more passionate about supporting worthy causes than dismantling deluded ones! Hey @Seatle185 I like seeing you liking so many posts. Youā€™re definitely paying attention. Itā€™s encouraging that relatively quiet members can also participate.
  9. Balance test in Zhan Zhuang (ē«™ę؁)

Nice one! Is it just me or is it easier with the eyes closed? This is reminding me of trying not to get pulled off balance in Chi Gerk. Have to build strength with some different variations on Golden Rooster Stance. After a few tries I got a little better at expecting which way I'm even falling, and try to stick more of the opposite direction with the ground foot.
  10. Balance test in Zhan Zhuang (ē«™ę؁)

I'd do it but I just ate a salami and peanut butter on rye. Do you rotate mostly around z axis, to where the eyes mostly stay pointing forward, or all the way around the y axis / neck, so that you're looking up part of the time?
  11. Balance test in Zhan Zhuang (ē«™ę؁)

Thereā€™s still certain merits to the ā€œsafe and healthy exerciseā€ versions of really any martial arts and yoga consumed these days. Iā€™m sure given an opportunity for direct transmission, certain points could be driven home. Other than that Iā€™d rather see people enjoying jumping on boards and waving color guard swords, than messing around and blowing up in qi deviation.
  12. Thatā€™s still getting into a lot of work though isnā€™t it! Realistically Iā€™ll probably be doing pretty decent if this incarnation yields even a single blossom fit to adorn the Empressā€™s court.
  13. Balance test in Zhan Zhuang (ē«™ę؁)

Personally, I'm rather adept at the Kramer style.
  14. Haiku Chain

at least the suns out a clear day in the outfield scent of trodden grass
  15. Xing and Ming cultivation

Yes! In the book, it seems Gautam's initial description could not quite do it justice, but does get the idea across clearly. I love the added comparison of cicada song and wind chimes. Do you think this is related to what's being hinted at by the cicada and waterfall mentioned in the beginning of Ten Ox Herding Pictures?
  16. The scandal of me sitting in full lotus padmasana

Just in case anyone wonders about the exact origin of this butt plug business.. The "wooden bun" is, as Drew referred to, mentioned in the later chapters of the book Taoist Yoga, Alchemy and Immortality. Particularly in Chapter 13: Gathering the macrocosmic alchemical agent for the final breakthrough: Nothing gets actually inserted! šŸ˜… You can get the basic idea, if for instance you've ever been sitting on the floor and naturally ended up with the heel of your foot between your "sit bones." Keep in mind of course, the guys in this book are super extreme. It also says they put a dang clothes pin on their nose to keep anything from leaking there. Nobody do this! It's shown here out of context and is part of something that took many many years under very specific guidance.
  17. Working Meditation

So simple, yet so often overlooked, when distracted doing all kinds of stuff out there. The relaxed yet expansive breath, maybe at least a good step toward achieving @Dame Du Lac's question.
  18. Haiku Unchained

moss and twigs adorn a small altar of white stones gifts from forest gnomes
  19. Inner Awareness Training, a modern composition

I did almost add another section about the next level in, of faster-than-light quantum entangled consciousness patterns.. but wanted to stay within a certain scope of perception.
  20. Haiku Chain

sacred dimensions one begets two, and from there, the flower of life
