  1. Taoist methods

Maybe another important aspect of spiritual hygiene! The Tao of Craft is a good one
  2. Holding/creating an energy ball benefits?

@Trunk wrote some great stuff about it at https://johndaoproductions.wordpress.com/2017/08/11/qi-sphere-beginning/
  3. Taoist methods

interesting that Fulu is included on the mountain. Most popular forms of cultivation involve moving oneself further up the mountain, so to speak. Whereas the art of invoking gods is to work with those who have already taken to the skies, as it were.
  4. Saint Rosalia

Today September 4th is the feast day of St. Rosalia of Palermo. Born of a royal bloodline in the high middle ages, she renounced all worldly affairs to live in a cave and serve God. Hundreds of years later she appeared to people suffering from the plague. She healed them and instructed them to get her bones down from the mountain to cleanse the whole city. A contemporary stylization in the game Genshin Impact as Rosaria, above a scene reminiscent of Mt. Pellegrino.

  7. The ultimate goal of Neidan

forgive me if this has already come up, but it might be worth noting in here that there is a big difference between 陽神 (a result of alchemy) and 养生 (for keeping fit)
  8. Somehow this became “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” Returning to nonduality it is seen that “What you do to others, you do to yourself.”

  10. DDJ Chapter 48

Believe me i don't need to do research to know some of the ungodly things that humans are capable of And i actually do appreciate being held to a higher standard than most smartasses. I just meant that i didn't understand why you would even be putting those as examples. Like in those instances the people would have already been cut off from 天 in enough of a way for it to even happen. But i guess in other cases if the children lived through it, and then went on to become Confucianist, I do see your point in that they might not want to be making offerings to their parents. Maybe they could focus on the grandparent or any ancestor further back to ask for help in forgiving and healing from what was done..
  11. DDJ Chapter 48

    not all Asians are Confucians?
  12. DDJ Chapter 48

This beautiful documentary includes a rare eye-witness account (video link is cued up to 41:41 for this discussion but i do recommend watching the whole thing whenever you have the time. I feel I should disclaim that anyone uncomfortable with viewing human remains may want to skip past the sky burial between 17:40 and 20:10.) I imagine it would be easy for a skeptic to believe something like the emotional state of the sisters caused them to hallucinate in some way what they saw. Or just say they are making stuff up and call it day. So yes, there are still people in this world who do not own cameras. I wonder if a camera would even pick it up. Maybe with the right enhancements. As @dwai had touched on, there could very well be some elusive class of emission or entanglement that is by no means imaginary, but who technology has not yet caught up to what living system is capable of perceiving. Also interesting is reduced weight of the transformed physical body. I guess we can say that the diminishing mentioned in verse 48 is quite literal in a certain case.
  13. DDJ Chapter 48

Not gonna lie some of the stuff they described sounds identical to when I got hit in the head doing sports, or how when people say “omg I stood up too fast” and start to faint a little bit
  14. DDJ Chapter 48

Accumulating and diminishing may be seen as simply as eating food and then taking a dump. Becoming a Taoist means you have to get potty trained. Acting like wild animals can let the end product return to the environment wherever. It’s also possible to rely on a shepherd to keep changing the diaper. What I mean to say is, learning and acquiring contributes to the post-heaven side of a human. When you go to sleep, it will automatically connect with the pre-heavenly system and perform an exchange and rebalancing. The pre-heaven side always knows what to do, just like the ecosystem redistributes wastes to be transformed back into nutrients. A cultivator learns to maintain some consciousness throughout the process. Each day observing and naturally playing a more proactive role, begins to obtain better returns. None of that is important in most cases. What really needs diminishing is selfishness. Once enough knowledge has been gathered, the focus then shifts to being of service to the planet. That is how to become valuable to the Tao.
  15. Opening Ceremonies of the Paris Olympics was on that day. It’s rare that so many people in the entire world are focused on something positive together. Maybe some ripple effects. Who knows. It’s nice to think about.
  16. Very unpopular opinions

I wanted to say things about karma, but I'll just put this: https://www.alphahome.org/two-monks-and-a-woman/
  17. Who or what is "satan"?

Later on when the little dots were added to represent vowels/tones, some have pointed out that probably עָרוּם `aruwm (shrewd) was used in Gen 3:1, versus עָרוֹם `arowm (nude) in Gen 2:25. Vowels can make a big difference, for example a son might sin if their node were nude. The NWT interestingly uses "cautious" for עָרוּם
  18. Nathan Brine

Only one video comes to mind where I have seen something at least resembling this elusive mouse. Much as i hesitate to post this gem yet again. The few seconds of interest at the moment are at 4:17. Looks more vascular than muscular. It's not traveling around though. Pretty neat.
