  1. Ever the hopeless romantic, I will imagine Stosh was simply prodding OP to look harder for meanings beyond those tainted by wordiness. After all, the way that can be weighed is not the wei. Imagine if you walked into a room full of engineers and asked "so whats the goal of 'engineering'?" You'd get a dozen different answers, and most if not all of them would have little applicable to actual practice. Furthermore, lets draw attention to what Wandelaar has been exploring. I think the classic downfall of any attempt at explaining "what's this all for," is that by framing it within the confines of a mortal mind automatically begins to disqualify it.
  2. What animal are you?

I still think I'm a bacterium, or at best a nematode
  3. C'mon dood, I already sent you the book. If you're not willing to pay a master (either corporeal or angelic) to deliver the goods directly, then you're going to have to build your own rocketship, and that is a long and potentially sketchy process. Do you still get your energy primarily from food? Yes? Then get the hell to work. No? Then what are you wasting our time for?
  4. Good morning @lightbody09, pleased to meet you. I can't be sure if we're all even talking about the same thing, but as regards your original inquiry, I think I heard someone say that everything you'd need to know about the process is in here: https://terebess.hu/zen/mesterek/Taoist-Yoga-Alchemy-and-Immortality.pdf I've not finished it, but the basic premise as I understood was that if you somehow manage to never orgasm again, then that pure life ingredient builds up until you eventually shoot out the top of your head as a beam of light. Pretty intense, and easier said than done. It's not necessarily the safest route, either. You have to know how to actively circulate things, not unlike stirring a cooking pot or else you get burned on the bottom and boiled off the top. And if you go at it without the proper foundation, chances are you just blow a gasket somewhere along the way before getting all the way to the top, and end up worse than if you'd not even tried. Welcome to the site! May the gods be ever in your favor.
  5. RIGHT !

Well said! *goes and digs the machetes out* (schwingg) ...I remember now... Their names, BudSaber and Leaf'sBlood, *gives them a few whirls* Even better balanced than I remember. And the patina is becoming rather, exquisite. Sharp as shit, too. I'll need to work my way back up to any more antics. Surely there's more rust on me than this steel. Hey at least you weren't milking him. Would dragon's eggs be of any use in your ritual?
  6. RIGHT !

Nosir but my war chest has a couple of South American machetes that are older than I am. Maybe you could weld them together into something kickass.

this notion of Dao, though pursuits lead me astray, the Dao calls me home.
  8. coding

Have you found a good fit? If you want to jump into an instant gratification activity with little to no real world pay off, but is actually the way a great many pros were initially exposed to, load up BASIC - Beginner's All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code. An Interpreter: http://www.quitebasic.com/ A Compiler: https://www.portal.qb64.org/ You can just study the samples, read a bit of the HELP file, and start pounding away to get a feel for the essential concepts: Input/Output, Variables, Conditionals, and Loops. Beyond that, the subject really has gotten quite big and it can be tricky to define the best entry point. I agree that depending what goal is in mind really refines what material would benefit. You want to make a game? Web sites? Process a database? Solve math stuff? Understand how computers work? Model complexity and intelligence? Turn the monitor into a strobe light?
  9. RIGHT !

Only slightly less real than any of us, heh.

  12. Who are your favorite Comedians of all times?

Although easily overlooked as juvenile buffoonery, I feel that Jim Varney's Ernest P. Worrell character embodies a certain kind of genius. Even evoking the philosophical foundations of an uncarved block of wood. Know what I mean, Vern? Honorable mention also to Paul "Pee Wee" Reubens, whose career crippling arrest for whacking it in an X-rated theater was in a way itself the ultimate act of comedy.
  13. Who are your favorite Comedians of all times?

Oh so many greats! Where to start? I'm often a sucker for physical comedy. From Buster Keaton through Eric Andre.
  14. Who is Loneman Pai?

I can understand needing to hide one's face on YouTube. Especially if involved in heavy hitting spirit work. You might be vulnerable to witchcraft type attacks aimed at your visage, or any other category of stalker behavior. Of course if intention is pure, nothing to really fear. Some people just shy as hell and need aids to expression. I'd even consider it a form of humility. I agree the designs on Loneman's masks are distracting if not totally scared me off from watching at all for a while. When I viewed him now I most often scroll off or minimize it and just listen to the audio, aha. I wonder if even his accent is fake . All said and done though, the mask type is less relevant, even kind of endearing if you're familiar with Lucha Libre tradition, or possibly a modern take on Noh.
  15. Astral Projection (don't shoot)

Some kind of crucifix conga line?
  16. Astral Projection (don't shoot)

Are those anything like the "heavenly corridors" described in this post?
  17. What are you listening to?

A simple message. Profoundly moving. Inspiration exemplified.
  18. Enlightened movies

I recently picked up a DVD at the Dollar Tree of a completely weird yet magnificent film called "Big Man Japan" Not to be a spoiler, but in the scene when they're flying away, and Big-Sato loses his shoe, I couldn't help but think of the legend of Lan Cahie unexpected ascension to the immortal realm.

  20. Climate Change

Tao Teh Ching chapter 13: we should prize calamities as our own body? if we were not alive, what planet would we even have to destroy? anyway.. good to see u again, void
  21. This is a must see

This Lauderdale guy is growin on me. I do admire the country music as long as it's this kind of folk soul to it, and not that "she thinks my tractor's sexy" business. There's even one of his other songs, "Old Time Angels" in traditional Mountain Music style. The "Listen" song has a nice message, and it's a beautifully filmed video. He's definitely got... something. If nothing else is there anyone with enough guts to wear that outfit!
