  1. Sorry, I think I was looking at a different study. Seems like youā€™re right anyway. 1. Iā€™m curious how this is relevant. What good does inhibiting sympathetic activity (I assume this means decreasing its electric conductivity) do? 2. If not ejaculating and not seeing beautiful women is what builds lecithin, and lecithin is what builds qi through the myelination of the nerves, then why donā€™t disabled people, monks, and similar people have lots of qi? Iā€™m sure at least a third of those people are in situations where they cannot ejaculate either physically or donā€™t have the opportunity. Is it all because they donā€™t meditate? 3. You say yuan qi provides suction, and this causes collagen to release low intensity ultrasound, but how can something so incredibly subtle and impalpable such as qi, cause such an amount of suction that it affects something gross and dense like collagen (which is said to be stronger than steel), to such a magnitude that it releases ultrasound? It doesnā€™t seem possible.
  2. hello and question

That sounds just like Mantak Chiaā€™s method of circulating the microcosmic orbit. I thought the controversy with this type of method (as many critics of Mantak Chia have pointed out) is that it takes a lot of time first to unblock various points of the microcosmic orbit (like the wei lu, jia ji and yu zhen gates), and therefore allow qi to circulate freely.
  3. hello and question

Are they the same then? I thought when you said quick fire, it was just another way of saying the kundalini style breath of fire way of breathing.
  4. Breathing comes from his heels?

I found where he talks about it: Perhaps he didnā€™t really criticise it as I thought he did, but he did say that it is not part of Neidan and it is not authentic Daoist meditation which agrees with other forms of Daoist meditation.
  5. Breathing comes from his heels?

I have read Taoist Yoga a long time ago. Have you spoken to the author of this website: http://daoistmeditation.com/ ? He is active on this forum too, but I forgot his username. He read the original Chinese manuscripts that book was based on, and he didnā€™t seem that impressed with it.
  6. 1. Collagen releases ultrasound? I canā€™t find anything about this online. I thought piezoelectric meant that it releases electric charge when being subjected to pressure (not ultrasound)? How does it do it? 2. Thereā€™s no way to put pressure upon the connective tissue deep inside the body without seriously damaging the body. And I donā€™t see how qigong would put pressure on the collagen to release piezoelectricity either. So how is collagen put under pressure to emit this low intensity ultrasound? 3. The study you mention only says that low-intensity ultrasound only regenerates existing damaged nerves. It doesnā€™t create new nerves.
  7. Thanks! That is an amazing video, but I made this thread because you said previously that qi is built in the body due to neurones increasing their myelination, enabling them to contain more energy and hence more qi. But I researched that, and it doesnā€™t seem that the nerves can increase their myelination when one becomes an adult. So Iā€™m still not sure what this qi/ball of qi is. It seems to be an increase in electromagnetism which must mean a physiological change in oneā€™s nervous system, but I just donā€™t understand it. We canā€™t seem to grow nerves, increase myelination, etc.
  8. In the first post, a qigong master said that ordinary peopleā€™s central channel exists as a dashed line going through the centre of the body. With practice, the central channel becomes complete and like a single thread of silk. You said that you also believed that the central channel exists as a dashed line between organs through the middle of the body. Do you know how to make the central channel less like a dashed line and more like a complete line?
  9. Does anyone know anything more about the qigong masters? Have they ever published anything?
  10. How does one go from a dashed line to a complete line?
  11. I canā€™t find anywhere on the western, english-speaking internet which discusses Shinto (ē„žé“), also known as kami-no-michi, and I doubt people on here know anything about it. I have sent e-mails to japanese tourist websites asking questions, but they arenā€™t very helpful (especially because I donā€™t speak japanese). I tried searching for any professors or lecturers at the East-Asian departments of universities whom I can email but I canā€™t find anyone. They all seem to specialise in the economics of Japan or something irrelevant. Where can I have a discussion about it?
  12. What is Yang Fire ?

But it isnā€™t. Itā€™s connected to the sympathetic nervous system (the spine) through the celiac ganglia. The stomach, kidneys, spleen and liver are all connected in the same way (to the sympathetic nervous system through the celiac ganglia). Does he mean the heart? The heart doesnā€™t go through any ganglia (iā€™m not a doctor, so i donā€™t really know) to reach the spine, and Iā€™m not sure what any of this has to do with the Yi or spleen as I was talking about. I donā€™t see how these two statements are connected. Whatā€™s the pancreas got to do with reverse breathing? What does increasing adrenaline have to do with Neidan? Isnā€™t increasing adrenaline a bad thing (itā€™s stress, when our body is under stress or facing danger, it activates the sympathetic nervous system which stimulates the adrenal glands to produce adrenaline which drains the energy from the body by putting it in a high state of alert). You say it pushes it to the point where it causes a parasympathetic rebound, but I donā€™t see how doing deep breathing can release more adrenaline than, for example, watching a horror movie. When I do deep breathing, I donā€™t feel particularly different.
  13. What is Yang Fire ?

Isnā€™t the spleen where the Yi is located though? I thought the heart only houses the Shen, and that is what can be agitated and escapes the body through the eyes.
  14. What is Yang Fire ?

Is qi that rises up the du channel yang fire? How can it be yang if the lower part of the body is yin and the upper part of the body is yang? It would make more sense (when you visualise the hexagrams) that the lowest part of the body is fully yin, and that which rises up the du channel from it is still yin, with increasing amounts of yang?
  15. Iā€™ve heard that Buddhist meditation develops the Po (yin) spirit. The Po (yin) spirit is said to originate from the lower dantian. Yet the Suttas never mention this area, and theravada monks (the Buddhists who follow the most traditional teachings) never seem to mention it either. So whatā€™s going on?
  16. I want to go back to the source and try to understand what theyā€™re talking about, instead of getting lost in all the different meditation styles of today. How did the ancient daoists teach it? Please provide quotes. Iā€™d love to do my own research on this, but unfortunately most daoist texts seem to have not been translated into English yet. The handful that have been translated (just translations. I donā€™t want commentaries or teachings based upon it), are available only at really expensive prices. Thank you!
  17. A question about the Hun and the Po

How does qi power the shen and guide the shen, when it is shen within the heart that transforms jing into qi? Doesnā€™t this mean shen has control over qi since it produces it? Also you said in ancient times in Africa, men used to share their qi with women. But in the past few posts, you now say itā€™s ā€˜qi devianceā€™ which depletes the Spleen qi. So are you now saying that in the Ancient times, what they did during the tribal dances was incorrect?
  18. A question about the Hun and the Po

Also, back on the topic of Hun and Po, where is Hun and Po found? Iā€™ve read that Hun is produced by the liver and goes to the head, and at night returns to the liver to rest. Iā€™ve also read that Po is produced by the lungs. But I donā€™t know its movements. Also, is Po a jing, qi or shen?
  19. Thanks for this! But do you know where Po is found? It doesnā€™t say on your website. I know it is produced by the lungs.
  20. A question about the Hun and the Po

Just to clarify, this is the horse stance youā€™re talking about, right? https://youtu.be/yxqrxYC0i70 It seems that there are a few different types of horse stance out there, so I just wanted to make sure.
  21. I heard from somewhere that Po originates in the lower dantian. Now I read it originates in the lungs, or the heart. I donā€™t know never mind
  22. A question about the Hun and the Po

Hey thanks, how many reps and sets do you suggest? And for how long (to failure?)? do you suggest any other exercise too? I know too much exercise is bad for the jing, but a few people on this forum encourage lots of exercise. Is that really necessary? I have a really fast metabolism, so I could sit around all day everyday and still be thin.
  23. A question about the Hun and the Po

Iā€™ve read many of your posts, I donā€™t know if you already have described it before but how does this internal female orgasms work for a man like myself? I tried being celibate for over a month, but it just makes me overly emotional, lust too much and feel like my qi is stagnant. Iā€™m not sure how internal female orgasms can arise from this. If you have anything you can recommend reading to learn this, I would be grateful. Also, sending healing internal orgasms to females remotely. That sounds really unusual. Do you send it with your third eye? Is it Shen youā€™re sending, or something else? It sounds quite draining to oneā€™s energy. I think you said that itā€™s just passive, but I donā€™t recall any woman ever mentioning that when she visits a Buddhist or Daoist monk or Hindu yogi.
  24. Ancient opinions are appreciated if anyone knows of any quotes.
