  1. What are the oldest Chinese Taoist myths?

Chill out my dearest white knight! You are presuming malice where there was none intended. I was genuinely amused and not wanting to ridicule anyone particular's (lack of) language skills. I think those Engrish spelling mistakes are lighthearted fun at best like the ones that children also make. Just a bit different in typography.
  2. What are the oldest Chinese Taoist myths?

I am preserving the current title of this thread for posterity: Look. I don't Taoist myths, but the mystery of Engrish never ceases to amaze me. How come the Chinaman so funny? Why you make so lol?
  3. @Earl Grey Thank you for your thoughts. I found your answers detailed and insightful. Am I understanding correctly that in the IMA context it would for example be more sensible and infinitely more practical to speak of internal force pressing your opponent downwards with certain motion than stubbornly asking detailed knowledge how does this pressing motion affects the practitioner's vital energy? Would you further care to explain why does the IMA tradition speak of holistic internal force almost always instead of narrowing down on particular energetic wirings or specific means to generate energy? Despite the lack of common language in different traditions, is it not true that the valid IMAs when well trained always impart tangible spiritual benefits of calm heart and bliss-joy? Are the physical changes practitioners go through convergent across the field of IMAs or otherwise similar to what spiritual Daoist yogis might go through?
  4. Really good and clear questions coming through! Let's use the opportunity to rise above and let rideforever continue his lonely arguments on his way to the sunset of all reason and meaning. Why is LHBF an authentic art and not a concocted derivative of Taijiquan or other IMAs? Some people peddle Taijiquan as a type of Qigong that they call Taiji. The essential aspect of it seems to be to reduce it to sequences of "single movements" that stimulate meridians like Baduajin variations are designed to. Why is such mentality a distraction to training real martial arts and martial spirit? Why are the health effects and alchemical results of IMAs many degrees more sublime than what run-of-the-mill Baduajin variants endow? How does the alchemy of LHBF differ from Taijiquan? How are their martial spirits different? What are the esoteric aspects of LHBF (if any can be disclosed)?
  5. You are very good at projecting your own lack of understanding. Yes. Projecting and stubborn ignorance have been glaringly typical of you.
  6. Xing and Ming cultivation

I tried cultivating Xing and Ming, but my head just went Ding and Dong.
  7. Different Astral projection Techniques

Oh my, that would be real Bum Fu. I guess the name of the forum can be seen as an invitation.
  8. Different Astral projection Techniques

He must be doing Dreaming and Begging Gong in order to get instructions then. Too bad for him that it won't pass for real gongfu like Sleeping Qigong.
  9. Different Astral projection Techniques

If you manage to project your spirit without correct spiritual development, then you are inviting serious trouble. First of all you would need a strong spirit to remain fully aware and in control of what is happening to you. The other is that with weak spirit you would expose yourself. Sleeping Qigong aka Shuigong provides the opportunity to turn sleep and dreaming into deep meditation. Astral travel is one side effect that can be explored for healing others for example. The complete system has many practical methods for protecting oneself in spirit travels.
  10. Is it good to bring chi to the balls?

Wait. I realized now that you might be asking if it's safe to spin your testes. There may be many ways to direct energy. There may be many ways to circulate energy. Some of these might be beneficial, but discovering them on your own is a hazard. If you direct energy to one part of your body with effort and persistence, then it's almost certainly going to cause something severe. Internal arts are supposed to be about training your mind and gaining health is a side effect. Why are you so concerned with your family jewels instead of pacifying your heart-mind? Learn from a qualified teacher who has attained good health and can demonstrate good skills.
  11. Is it good to bring chi to the balls?

It's better not to invent your own practices if you want to keep your balls.
  12. Weather Magick

Praise Drunkard Zhao for his wise and kind intervention and scaring the silly kids away from the Ouija board! I recently wrote something relevant on this topic, please take a look:
  13. Sleeping Qiqong

Sifu John Dolic's website: http://www.qigongchinesehealth.com/sleeping_qigong I learned the style with him, so I can endorse its validity. A very fun practice.
  14. Best Online Neigong Training? (Non-Religious)

Shuigong aka Sleeping Qigong is the most complete Daoist alchemy training that I have found. Very accessible style and John Dolic is an awesome teacher. Sifu Dolic readily teaches through Skype and gives excellent practice notes to students.
  15. Say Something Nice About Someone Chain!

@Earl Grey He embodies the early 90s nerd culture to the fullest positive degree. @liminal_luke His behavior portrays the cool gay uncle type I wish everyone knew in their life: Nothing dramatic or flamboyant flashy, but lots of common sense and good heart.
  16. Balance test in Zhan Zhuang (站樁)

I feel you don't know the difference between practicing Tai Chi, playing Tai Chi, and funnily goofing around trying to mimic Tai Chi forms. Your artistic interpretation of Tai Chi forms certainly passes the circus standards of Clown Gong. Welcome aboard, bro! PS. Your weapon form would look more harmonious with a banana or cream pie in your hand.
  17. Balance test in Zhan Zhuang (站樁)

Ah, the classic A/S/L questionnaire has begun to take foot. Stated like a true PUA.
  18. Dragon Sickness

This is a very good video series explaining some basic errors that can be met while trying to engage in practical Daoist meditations. The first video is a great summary even for experts. The best benefit however is for self-initiates and newbies who are often clueless where to begin and whether they can safely practice on their own. The answer to that is: it depends on many conditions chiefly involving health and the purity of mind, but being too sure of oneself can spell disaster. Deviations are not fun and can take a long time to heal, yet very often we can witness on this forum also how people have casual disregard for their own well-being. As if they were completely immune to any shortcomings and mistakes, and as if mastery was attained with the snap of fingers! It's good to be informed that these deviation conditions exist. Teacher who can observe and help you correct yourself before unwitting mistakes and errors escalate into sickness is baseline for great teaching skill. Video 1: Video 2: Video 3: Video 4: Video 5:
  19. Dragon Sickness

It's been a while since I watched the entire series, but I believe one crucially important warning was omitted: Do not mix or combine practices! With mixing you are going against the instructions of two teachings at the same time. Only masters can safely figure what is compatible and what not. Some of the qigong or meditation practices are powerful, but also very sensitive in that they conflict with a lot of other ways to train. For example, Fragrant Qigong will cause sickness if you practice any abnormal breathing methods within a few days before or after it. That's just how it is.
  20. Can anyone please show kriya yoga techniques to me?

So you are claiming boldly now that you have no care for developing an energy deviation despite the fact that mixing is likely to cause it? Please read the thread I linked above and watch the videos. I sincerely hope you learn caution and get wiser before you end up causing serious hurt to yourself.
  21. Can anyone please show kriya yoga techniques to me?

That will probably give you a massive energy deviation. Mixing systems is stupid unless you are a master with full understanding. Breath sequencing often requires particular fixed forms, or otherwise the results are compromised.
  22. Can anyone please show kriya yoga techniques to me?

You are swayed by rumors. How are another's words any substitute for your own direct experience? Anyway. There are other meditation systems that also use that type of breath sequencing, and they are as a matter of fact powerful. One of the systems is called Flying Phoenix and it can be learned through inexpensive DVDs, since you stress economic perspective.
  23. Can anyone please show kriya yoga techniques to me?

Your treasure is where your heart is. Kriya yoga is your sweet heart. That's why you are interested in it, courting it, and asking advice about how to be good to it. If you value something, then better be prepared to invest into that relationship. My advice, take it or leave it.
  24. Purpose of QiGong

Excuse me Sir. Are you perhaps attempting some self-identifying meta narration in which you directly mirror and expose your own understanding?
  25. Daoist associations?

This certainly doesn't answer my question, but it does highlight how a spiritual disconnection is apparent. The immortals and enlightened masters are here, now and always. Anyone can search their own heart for that connection and pray for their blessings. Whether any answers are directly intelligible is a matter of spiritual maturity and sincerity. It's not unprecedented (in any true spiritual lineage) that lineage founders act as guardians and arrive every once in a while to instruct faithful disciples. Same goes for sanctioning the altering of regulations if it needs to be done to accommodate changing times. One prominent example of the latter is Tibetan Bön Buddhism. Their dzogchen teachings were previously transmitted only in secret and kept hidden, but lineage guardians came to the dreams of the head monk and told that the teachings would perish if not opened up to everyone. This level of heart-to-heart communication is what happens in living traditions.
