I think we live in a very difficult time because most authorities are not worthy of listening to. I am personally sick of seeing people in authority who are lyings losers. Even if they had had the intention to be better at the outset. But I do not feel that I can live without some sense of authority, or direction, or instruction. But difficult to know what to do. I try to reconstruct a true authority within me based upon wisdom. There are a couple of teachers I know who are real.

Knowing my true reality, dancing, being healthy, being unafraid because I feel my true self. Being able to communicate myself truly and wonderfully with other people. Financial stability, contribution to my community. Such things.

Paul in my opinion was the first person to mess up Christianity ... wrt 1 Corinthians. I am not very interested in Paul. Anger and Murder ... well it doesn't sound so bad to me if you read the whole ting : Anger and Murder 21 “You have heard that it was said to an older generation, ‘Do not murder,’ and ‘whoever murders will be subjected to judgment.’ 22 But I say to you that anyone who is angry with a brother will be subjected to judgment. And whoever insults a brother will be brought before the council, and whoever says ‘Fool’ will be sent to fiery hell. 23 So then, if you bring your gift to the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother and then come and present your gift. 25 Reach agreement quickly with your accuser while on the way to court, or he may hand you over to the judge, and the judge hand you over to the warden, and you will be thrown into prison. 26 I tell you the truth, you will never get out of there until you have paid the last penny! Anyway you don't need to remind me how many despicable things have happened in the name of Christianity, I do know.

Well I would concentrate on things that are useful for you.

... well ... is that as far as you got, because doing a qigong dvd for an hour will prove the nature of qi, whilst also cleansing your body and making you healthy at the same time, which is useful

There is a great deal of rebellion against authority. And society is awash with money and pleasures, authorities are lazy stupid and insincere, who can trust them. But on the path one must search for the truth no matter that you live in a swamp. What did Christianity once mean ? And what was the original intention behind their rules ? Can I, being honest and wise, reconstruct the original instructions and consider following them because I see the sanity in them? Some examples of the original meanings as I understand them : Christians operate as a tribe. Being one with God is real the way of being in a tribe they equate morality to something as simple as believing in something, No human beings are capable of really believe in anything. Although churchgoers might use that word, it does not represent what they do. They have created a habitual pattern where they congregate with their community and remember the "highest" and have several practices involving the body heart and min together. There is no "belief" really, but if you talk to someone they can't explain everything that happens in a church, nor do they really know it themselves, so they use the word "belief" . Biblical commands are so unreasonable that they are impossible to follow (never get angry, never lust, always obey the government, have short hair if you're a male, It does not say never get angry, or have short hair. Church hierarchies misuse these things - mostly because they do not do their own practice. America is right by God simply for "believing" enables unjust wars. Ultimately the only solution is to merge / surrender to God. Then you are in the right place, and there is no place more "just". But for sure much violence is always excused with religion, I suppose it is a convenient get out for warmongerers. people are considered totally depraved by nature, We all have various natures and have difficulty being harmonious, there is a struggle. There is a huge conflict between our assumed social ego identity, our real identity, our need to eat and to be accepted by the herd. It does not seem easy to harmonize all these things. justifies government immigration policy It is simply observed for instance with farm animals that too much mixing weakens a breed. Some new blood is good, but too much is a disaster. Not just for reasons of blood, but also the solid structure of society. For thousands of years it has been known that if you wish to weaken a people you just bring in lots of foreigners, and people like Alexander the Great and Genghis Khan used to do that in order to weaken a people into submission. sexuality It simply makes sense to live as your biology intended, and this is a starting point -but not an end point- of traditional thinking about sexuality. These underlying "real meanings" are quite genuine; but of course on this unhappy planet every single one can be twisted for insincere ends. Many people will be herd animals, others will be rebellious herd animals. How many will have their own truth ?

I was wondering this morning why society has a sort of miserable quality about it, we are all slaved to some treadmill some hopeless endless slavery ... where did it all start. Well there are several answers to that, but one is the money. Money is the foundation for the society and the banks control it, in a dirty way. They have taken control of our entire society by enslaving us to their little game of money control. Hitler, one of the things he did inter-war (between WW1 and WW2), is cut out the banks. He instructed the German state to give loans directly from the Government to small business ventures, during a time of great poverty - which was inflicted upon the Germans after WW1 as punishment by the allies. Anyway, these small loans totally bypassed the usury system, and within 10 years there was an "economic miracle" in Germany, Germany could breathe and grow, and from being a punished country that just lost a great war, it bounced back and became incredibly powerful in a short time. Powerful enough to fight a second world war. It's incredible. Anyway, so maybe Hitler was right about that, and about some other things. Perhaps WW2 was fought only to protect a banking system, that today is sucking the life out of all of mankind. But ... as is normal here on earth, people always fight against the things that would help them, so blind and confused we seem to be. And yeah, many brave men fought and died with the belief in protecting the good, and you have to bear witness to their sacrifice. Jesus, this world is confusing. -
It wouldn't surprise me that banging the drum simply means joining in with the suicide. Buddhist shave their hair, shave their food, shave their sexuality, and then they are more comfortable, then they are accepted. By other Buddhists who have also committed suicide. They will love you very much, because after you commit suicide, after you destroy everything god gave to you, so that you fit in, after that something inside you feels anxious. And that anxiety is only calmed, when you see somebody else committing suicide. Then for a few minutes you will feel a bit of peace to help you forget, that you destroyed what you were given. So that you fit in. I don't like this kind of thing any more.

Confession does seem useful. But ... I am not sure what it is about. Say I confess some "bad things" I did yesterday. Well, I did them because I could do nothing else. And when I confess them I am probably comparing them to an idealised fake morality. So I compare what I did with, with an invented code of conduct invented by other monkeys, and then feel bad that my conduct was not what they told me I should be, and then I confess that. Hmm, doesn't seem quite right. Perhaps I should confess when I wasn't in touch with myself, and didn't make my own choices. I should confess not that I wasn't acting according to a morality, but I wasn't myself. And so return to your true will. A second thing is : Probably due to the overwhelming pressure of an unnatural world and morality, humans feel bad all the time. Maybe confession is where you don't feel bad anymore, instead acknowledging that you are doing the best you can do. And being more conscious. A third thing is : To admit to God that you hurt and asking him to cleanse you. A surrender.

Very true because how can you save a mask, which is what most people are. Masks aren't real. Or is it ? Paul had a fat mouth and .... and it was always fat whether what came out of it was anti-Christianity or Christianity. You see these threats in every tradition, Buddhism certainly, threats and threats and threats, followed by a whole lot of ass kissing about the one and only incomparable Buddha-Christ .... please stop the madness. There is not much useful in all that. Having never been forced ever to go to Church in my life, I can perhaps consider what all those things people do in there actually mean, in reality. Communion, body and blood, why you drink it ? You do that because you (meaning we) and stupid dumb monkeys, and by putting things in our mouth and swallowing them we have a small chance of getting the message of putting the light inside of us and swallowing it. Also kneeling and crossing yourself is like Zhan Zhuang with a bit of heart meridien and a mudra on the hand if you do it the proper way with 1.5 fingers. Jesus's message is ... "everything is Golden", but you ... you know what your problem is .... you don't see what you see nor hear what you hear ... so ... stop doing that. That's a summary. Please save me from anyone's writings on Christianity of any sort. It's done now, go home. I do believe that A Course in Miracles (the original one for godsakes, what's wrong with everyone) ... is a true reflection of Jesus.

No, because most spiritual people are idiots, and the teachers are like the mafia. You should put the exercise (technique) first, but only for a few hours, after that expect results. What is it you really want ? There are some real enlightened teachers alive, and some good retreat places; but is that what you want, to meditate for enlightenment and discard the world ? No more sex, chocolate, family, rock'n'roll ?? Or maybe you are just sick of bullshit, and wish to find "the way" ? Why not just do all the normal things, "only a fool leaves the main road", but just do all the normal things ... in a conscious way. And find a conscious hot Taiwanese wife, and then don't worry about anything else. Most spiritual people are not interested in growing into the light. They much prefer to rush around doing "good works" and "paying off karma" and many nonsenses, which don't involve them changing or learning anything. Ha ha. But if you are not going to do any exercises ... what are you going to do ? People who do no exercises, and just talk, they are the biggest bullshit artists of them all. Anyway, just because 99% of people are actually not people but monkeys does not mean that 1% of people are not people. They might be.

Okay .... is there anything useful at all in this sutra ? And who wrote it ? It seemed to say "oh glorious inconceivable one" .... about 1 million times in the document. Seems like a lot of ass kissing. Is there anything useful in it, like accurate meditation instructions ? It seems to have a lot of threats if the rulers aren't of exemplary virtue. But what is exemplary virtue ?

Anyway a lot of people came to this world and tried to change it, so there probably is something pretty badly wrong with it. However they didn't seem to succeed and just brought themselves a lot of trouble mostly. It's more of a surrender world, being here one must just accept it and enter surrender to the infinite, not worry unduly.

Why not go hang out at the Kunlun temple, just to have a bit of a break. They do spontaneous qigong which is very direct reality practice, no big words or fixed forms. ( and no I am not into their philosophy, but it is a place up in the mountains near you where you can do kunlun qigong and breathe freely, go up on the weekends and stay the night, give yourself a break ) It is good if your plan is practical and actualizable rather than wishing to fly to the Moon. Just make positive steps in a good direction. And you dont have to listen to their philosophy at all, just go for the peace of the place. As for Christianity, seems like many people are like you. And who doesn't have negative things to say about the church. However Jesus was real and did have a good message, but few ever read it, they are too busy opinionating on their church. Anyway being 20s I hope you will plant some seeds for work and your career, choose wisely and work hard. If no seeds planted it will be more difficult later. Everyone on this planet may be insane, but you can still be insane. Currently there is a fashion to hate and find fault with everyone and every thing, but it's not true many things are good. Following Laozi means feeding your belly and being competent in daily life. Just ask what you want, food shelter friends, and then just go and do it, however imperfectly. Then in the evening you can contemplate philosophical matters.

I just looked up on the "internet" Stevia vs Xylitol ... for some opinions on which natural sweetener is better. And a million hits turned up, I read through the first 5 or so. Each one of them seems to be the editors bullet pointing various facts about them, probably just copied out of wikipedia. They all say the same thing. There seems to be no personal experience here at all, just data copied from one website to another. Then at the end ... no conclusion. Just something like "choose whichever one works for you". It is complete crap. And mindless unconscious human donkeys are writing this stuff. All desperate to generate "content". Fake news is not the problem, just fake people raised in a fake world, cut off from any sense of their own reality.

What about a social movement for bestiality ? Or a social movement for bodily self mutilation as a form of expression ? Or a social movement of sexuality with immediate family ? Or for no longer classifying any medical problems as problems ? Etc... When is it that you start to ... feel something is not right at all with this picture ?

How to work with gratitude? Can you work with it?
rideforever replied to z00se's topic in General Discussion
Also there is a Law of Attraction thing that is related. I am sensitive to the opportunities however big or small that are in front of me ... that make me feel most alive, and I take them. Again and again. I choose the aliveness opportunities. And this draws out of you your true life, your true wish, and the universe responds. This is much better than "gratitude" ... I really have a problem with that word. -
How to work with gratitude? Can you work with it?
rideforever replied to z00se's topic in General Discussion
I prefer feeling love-God and sharing the miracle, feeling the miracle of life, sharing light. Gratitude I have found is like "I am grateful ... for ... something", which .... doesn't feel right to me. Inside you can be "justifying" yourself, and trying to convince yourself you are happy, or imagining you are happy, and also linking your happiness with someone else. Or you say "I am happy for xyz", like xyz has been served to you for dinner and that is your verdict. Anyway, I have frequently seen deluded people talking about gratitude but it has seemed they are trying really hard to be happy in order to avoid their pain, or to avoid that they don't know themselves very well ... and if they keep talking about how happy they are ... or how "grateful they are" ... that nobody will notice. It's a bit like if you kiss someone's ass really really well ... I am so grateful ... nobody notices that you are martyring yourself. So, anyway, that's what I have seen a lot and I don't like that word anymore. But if you bridge the light when you are with someone, or you are simply "happy" ... "I feel good right now, I feel good with you, isn't life a miracle, I feel god inside me, I feel god when I see you". This is good. Then there is no gratitude, because you are not being served something that you make a judgement on. Instead, You Are. -
That is very true in general. The mind of unconscious people hears the words from a great teacher, and being unconscious minds they translate the words to their level, and often "act" as if. A Buddhist might sit in meditation very seriously so that anyone watching him will be impressed, or a Christian might flail their back until it bleeds so that others who see him will see how much he suffers. They are unconscious people who don't really understand at all. This happens everywhere. The inner work required to enter the right state is often very poorly understood. It is easier to say "big words". But, reading the life history of a particular teacher will inform you what they had to do to get to the top of the mountain. As for the 10 commandments and Moses ... I believe this much older tradition of Moses was based upon many rules that if followed produced a progression of the community of Israel. But it is an older type of spirituality that is "unconscious", meaning that the people simply followed the rules given by God, which were intelligently designed, and they thereby lived healthy spiritual lives and progressed. But it is quite different to newer traditions that give people Consciousness directly.

If you are told do nothing, then you may act "do nothing". Monkeys are great actors. You can say "oh that sounds really spiritual, I can do that", and then act "do nothing". But how long can you act for ? Really your understanding is very small if that's what you do. This is not what is intended. Flowing harmoniously with existence, taking ownership of your true self, fulfilling your objective function ... these are the result of a vast quantity of work on yourself. One thing that can be done is to sit quietly and merge into the breathing, into the movement of the qi inside you, merge and merge and merge until only the natural flow of the vital force is left. It is a big thing.

I like this version, but I notice he also has a jazzed up version. What does that mean ? Why jazz it up, didn't it work ? -
Underlying factors The Billionaire Economy The economy is not designed to assist people, it is designed to assist billionaires, and they have friends politicians journalists and lawyers from the ivy league. Many news organisations have gone bust or will go bust, losing huge proportions of customers in the new economy, and they are responding by sensationalising. Bending twisting and faking the news, is survival for them. Society is being deliberately engineered by the powerful to facilitate the billionaire economy, in increasingly deranged ways, millions of people pushed from one country to another, whole value systems created, the history re-written, information created and re-created, representing a desperate struggle on the part of powerful forces to control large parts of mankind. Damaging the connection humans have to a normal grounded and sane self is a rapid way to achieve these changes, because what is left is a desperate and lost band of people who are easy to manipulate into the new pyramid structure with few taking the wealth of many. ( the mega rich are also lost and desperate, because losing your real-self is in fact torture ) The Urbanisation of Humans Cut off from the natural environment where they are meant to grow is akin to growing plants in a sterile lab in outer space. They do not grow well and their faculty of comprehending reality is highly damaged, they live in a fake world, being fake, often under myriad fake psychological defences. It is not the news that is fake but the people. I Have No Idea Who I Am The rise of "identity movements" simply means people no longer recognize who they are because they have been raised unnaturally. What was supposed to happen during your upbringing did not happen, now you try to loan an identity for one or another group or movement to fill the gap and help you feel alive. Today arguments are had over even small and simple matters because people do not know the difference between day and night, and take pride in their new confusions. Protection Through Unconsciousness I have the sense that the situation in society is interpreted by the human organism as incredibly hostile and become unconscious sheep is seen as the best means to survive, it is a kind of outer death which preserve the inner being. The false-self-ego is a shield. The unconscious people see it as existential to destroy anything conscious. And conscious people see it as existential to retain a conscious world. Reducing Size of Human Brains and the Empty Castle In the last 15,000 years the brain has lost the more than 10% of its size, about the size of a tennis ball. Well .... how long more before we descend to an ape like apocalypse. Living within the remains of a culture that we no longer understand, a castle bequeathed to us but that we are too stupid to comprehend. In fact we take pride in not being like our ancestors who built all the useful things we laugh as we decimate our culture. Violent Adjustment We are very disturbed and disturbing. Nature is trying to adapt us, if needs be reducing us to domesticated animals. ( domesticated animals have much smaller brains that their natural cousins ) What Is Never Said Billionaire economy is never questioned by the media. Degeneration of human intelligence is never questioned. Destruction of all natural systems of the earth is never questioned. Violence and Sexuality is never questioned. All day long the media argues about what is wrong and what should be done, but never about what is actually wrong and what should actually be done. It is all a lie. And people are afraid and hiding.

Well ... I did learn Michael Winn's version a few years ago and practiced it daily for about 2-3 months. But nothing really. It is a complex form and unless you can feel the meaning of each movement I don't see the point, each movement should be practiced individually, because there are many, it is quite complex and also very long and physically demanding, my arms used to ache. Other forms of Michael Winn's or individual movements, are much more understandable. I don't think practicing complex stuff that you don't understand is meaningful. I do know that Arnold Tayam used to have a one movement wuji gong, where you raise your hands upwards rotate anticlockwise and lower your hands, returning clockwise, repeat ... I assume this is to unwind yourself to zero. Working with energy is quite subtle and sophisticated and I don't know how many people are really feeling what is intended. Also returning to the source is not quite as simple as unwinding your arms .... or mixing the earth and sky .... or drawing endless zeros on paper or doing Bagua in 8 directions. These are nice guesses, but what is missing is an understanding of how the human being manifests from the energetic centre of the Source to the energetic centres of the human ... and seems nobody knows that. They don't even know where the source is, what the heart is, what the dantien is .... really madhouse and a million ideas. Anyway, it keeps people employed !!! Oh, is there anyone who is not a Grandmaster Sifu Dragon anymore ??? Because I would like to meet him, or her. -
