  1. So it’s that time of year again where I may start feeling unwell more often due to the cold weather, and so I would like to ask the forums how to retain as much qi in my body as possible during this time. I have read this forum as much as possible and i have found a few ideas from other people: 1. Eat as much carbohydrates as possible - they contain a lot of energy (qi), which the body stores as fat. 2. Eat as much animal fat as possible - this helps the body build the myelin sheath that protects the nerves. 3. Reverse abdominal breathing and horse stance until the legs start shaking before going to bed. 4. Sleep long hours. 5. Celibacy 6. Stop doing anything which arouses the senses too much. Anything else?
  2. @voidisyinyang why would I need to purify the mind if I can just do horse stance to release the lecithin back into the body from the prostate?
  3. Thank you for that post @Rocky Lionmouth, it isvery helpful to understand the stance. However unfortunately my knees point inward when my feet are straight so I keep my feet pointing outwards so I can keep my knees straight. This is ok still, right? I found also that my back curves really easily. My lower back learns forward and my upper back leans back. It’s hard to correct this. It’s also really tricky because while doing horse stance i’m doing reverse breathing and moving my hands up and down my body like the other poster recommended. I’m just doing this to maintain celibacy so I have to do everything together. @voidisyinyang unfortunately I haven’t practiced the stance for a couple of days. My prostate area is a little sore because i’m practicing celibacy. Can the lecithin still be expelled from the prostate back into the blood or is there a time limit? Thank you.
  4. Ok I read it thank you but I don’t want to do Neidan. I just want to be celibate so I can build up my qi. So you are saying to do the quick fire breathing before horse stance, right?
  5. Also I’ve been doing horse stance for 10 minutes now (I can do proper horse stance for a minute. Then I have a rest, then another minute). But apart from my legs being sore, nothing else has happened. When do I do the Quick Fire breathing?
  6. I’m really not sure. There aren’t a lot of sources saying whether or not a enlightened person is impotent (unable to have sex).
  7. I was reading the posts of some people here and apparently to get a strong lower dantian involves causing your neurones in your stomach to increase in its myelination. Ok that is interesting. But what benefits does that have, and how would I know if I have a strong lower dantian? Does having a strong lower dantian have an affect on other parts of the body?
  8. @voidisyinyang hi, do I do Quick Fire breathing before, during or after horse stance? Thanks.
  9. Why is it necessary for males to have no contact with females for a whole month? In the original human culture, males didn’t go hunting for a whole month, and they didn’t hunt just once a year. So are you saying that if I feel the need to go toilet after doing horse stance, then this is the sign I did horse stance correctly?
  10. To be open and honest, I not looking for any guidance on alchemy or anything like that though your posts are obviously amazing but it is a little beyond my understanding and what I want to achieve right now. I’m just having a lot of trouble with celibacy, and attempting to have a mind free of lust because there are obviously a lot of beautiful women everywhere. So I believe that the only way of suceeding with celibacy is grow a lot of myelinated neurones. I think it makes sense that having this sort of insulation would prevent the energy or qi going crazy so easily from lust. You didn’t say whether the horse stance video I posted was the appropriate way of doing horse stance? Also, do I need to go to the toilet after doing horse stance? You say that the person needs to clear his colon after horse stance? Thanks.
  11. What practices would you suggest to build all that dense connective tissue/collagen inside the body? Thanks
  12. Yes I remember seeing your pdf on scribd or a similar website many months ago and I scrolled through and read it on there all the way through, but it didn’t talk about how to do horse stance in your way. And I remember in your pdf you talked about vibrations from the vagus affecting collagen and making them healthy. That is fine for collagen but I am curious why you go against what mainstream science says in regard to electric charge travelling down the mainstream view is that charge flows down the neurone as Acetyl CoA and then joins with choline in the end of the neurone to form the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. But you think it travels through the myelin? I’m just confused
  13. I think it is the first because the other poster says it runs along bunches of collagen through the body (the fascia).
  14. So more collagen in the interstitium = more qi then? But old people have been for years looking how to increase collagen to reduce wrinkles. What do Daoists understand that regular old people don’t in this regard?
  15. How does serotonin affect the vagus nerve? From what i’ve read about serotonin after seeing your response, 90% of all serotonin is found in the gut and just is used as a neurotransmitter between neurones. It doesn’t seem to affect the vagus nerve. Am I supposed to cook the eggs? I know that some nutrients can get damaged if you cook them. This is the most viewed tutorial on youtube about the horse stance. Do I just follow her? I’ll add the other stuff you said afterwards too. So i’m supposed to go to the toilet after doing horse stance, is what you are saying? In your other posts you say charge travels along the myelin, when wikipedia (and from what I can remember at school) says that it is Acetyl CoA that travels down the axon to join with choline to form acetylcholine. The Acetyl CoA doesn’t travel through the myelin. Wikipedia says it the neuroglia/myelin just absorbs neurosteroids (not any electricity), but these neurosteriods don’t contain charge. thanks!
  16. Does this Jing Jin have magnetic characteristics, or are affected by magnetic fields?
  17. So the jing runs through the body via collagen, correct? And TCM meridians are channels of qi, right?
  18. Are enlightened people impotent?

What is the dude sticks a finger up his ass like in prostate examinations and then becomes hard that way? There’s no craving there, but it happens.
  19. Are enlightened people impotent?

Lets return to the topic please. The last few posts have nothing to do with the topic.
  20. Are enlightened people impotent?

Buddha cultivated Xing but he did not cultivate Ming. So does this not prove that becoming an arhat without cultivating Ming is disastrous to the body?
  21. Are enlightened people impotent?

The attainment of nibbana. i’ve heard some scary stories like the penis retracting into the body.
  22. Im retaining it so i can improve my body’s vitality as stated in my post.
  23. I read a few posts on this forum regarding dating, and one person said that if you are a very masculine person (Yang), then you will attract women to you anyway. But how does that work? Men are yang and Yang doesn’t attract/receive, it is Yin that attracts/receives, correct?
  24. Is this difference of yin jing and yang jing what creates attraction between a man and woman, like magnetism? But if that is true, then how come men and women can fall in love just by the photo of the person and the idea of them (like in online dating or women watching a movie with a handsome actor)? This physical attraction between man and women, perhaps caused by yin jing and yang jing, is not necessary?
  25. The poster above has an interesting idea. That the male body is yang but his mind is yin, and the female body is yin but her mind is yang. Like a woman’s mind is usually very exciteable and yang? I dont know really. Does that mean men have more yang jing and yin qi, and women have more yin jing and yang qi?
