"Also you call this Forum in your Faq as full of fools, idiots" "When people come there, they are met with all kinds of lies and disinformation to convince them they really don't want to pursue Mo Pai." "Is written in the Faq so yes it does say what i mentioned" Seems like you are confused. " it reads like a Wuxia novel ..." That really isn't something we can help, it is what it is. "your advertising " We have nothing to sell. We do not charge any money, nor accept donations. "why there is a need for levels?" If you are going to forge a sword from scratch, you would need to go mine the ore, then smelt the ore, then heat and hammer the metal into the shape you want, then fasten a handle, and sharpen the blade. You couldn't start with sharpening, if you haven't mined the ore yet. That is why there is need for levels.

I don't believe the FAQ says what you think it says. If you disagree please quote from it here so I can clear up any misunderstandings. Also about the levels, each level does something different. For example filling the LDT with yang chi, and the perineum with yin chi. Compressing the LDT so you can pack in even more yang chi until it becomes a solid mass visible to the naked eye, and opaque on x-ray. Breaking the cords that hold the LDT in place. Sending the LDT down to the perineum point where it attaches to the yin center there, and rises back up. Forcing the yin and yang centers to merge together. Opening the channels from the LDT down the arm and out the center of the palm. ETC. There are 72 such levels which deal with developing different parts.

People mix and match practices and Mo Pai gets blamed when they get sick.

As per our FAQ: We are a group of rational freethinkers. We encourage skeptics to practice and see for themselves. We want people to base their beliefs on their own observations, and on the best evidence available to them. We do not want anyone accepting anything as true based on someone else's personal testimony, because a book says so, or on faith. We do not worship any humans, demigods, gods, goddesses, demons, spirits, etc. No one is required to pay homage to anything or anyone. We do not charge money, and we do not accept donations. In our opinion this makes us as anti-cult as it gets.

As a reminder our entire group is against a FAQ. Sean asked for one and we are doing our best to comply with his wishes.

Unfortunately that won't be something we could go into in public.

I was told to create a new thread as the old thread was being derailed, so I did. It seems the only solution you would accept is silence.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19942103 Therapeutic effects of magnetic and copper bracelets in osteoarthritis: a randomised placebo-controlled crossover trial. CONCLUSIONS: Our results indicate that magnetic and copper bracelets are generally ineffective for managing pain, stiffness and physical function in osteoarthritis. Reported therapeutic benefits are most likely attributable to non-specific placebo effects. However such devices have no major adverse effects and may provide hope. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24066023 Copper bracelets and magnetic wrist straps for rheumatoid arthritis--analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects: a randomised double-blind placebo controlled crossover trial. CONCLUSIONS: Wearing a magnetic wrist strap or a copper bracelet did not appear to have any meaningful therapeutic effect, beyond that of a placebo, for alleviating symptoms and combating disease activity in rheumatoid arthritis.

"Western Mo Pai Students (WIMPS)" Last time I checked personal attacks were a no go here. I see this as a personal attack.
  17. Please submit your questions for the Mo Pai FAQ

I am posting this here because there are parts of it that need to be questions in the new FAQ whenever I have time to revise it: I did not want to forget about these questions as the other thread continues to rage on into a flame war.

Unfortunately people believe that copper and magnetic items can help them with (arthritis) pain, in reality they are no more effective than placebo. John invited a group of scientists and medical doctors to his home. He provided a demonstration inside his home. He provided another demonstration outside his home. Then the scientists and medical doctors took him to a controlled location they chose, to ensure no devices on his property were causing the effects they were seeing. He was stripped to his shirt and underwear and checked for metal with a metal detector. The scientists and medical doctors did make a best case effort to rule out fraud, and it was all recorded on video so we don't have take their personal testimony for it, we can objectively watch what occurred. Certainly there may have been some non-metallic device inside his body causing the effects they saw. This however I contend this is the best we as limited and rational beings can do. The only other art we are aware of with scientists and doctors recording such findings on video is for Tummo. Edit: added arthritis to clarify.

A team of scientists and medical doctors can take a subject to a controlled location, strip and search them with a metal detector for devices, and make a best case effort to rule out fraud, and the event can be recorded on video. This certainly is leagues above accepting things as true on someone elses personal testimony, or because a book says so, or because we believe it on faith. I contend that while this is not perfect, it certainly is the best we can do as limited and rational beings.

We want to see scientists and medical doctors present, in a controlled location with best efforts made to rule out fraud on video. None of that happened here. The only other art we are aware of that meets that criteria is Tummo.

We do not Consider Zhou Ting Jue to have provided good evidence. I would be interested to see a demo of him where he was checked for devices with a metal detector, stripped to a shirt and underwear, taken to a random location and such a demo re-enacted with materials provided by scientists and medical doctors. One individual managed to recover some of the materials he used and claims that potassium hydroxide was used to react with the aluminum foil.

  24. Please submit your questions for the Mo Pai FAQ

HI Sean, This question is a bit like asking about microcosmic orbit practice as it relates to Mo Pai. The question is non-sequitur as it uses terminologies and methodologies that are unrelated to Mo Pai. For example many people believe you must be celibate to store up Jing to later to convert to Chi. In Mo Pai celibacy is done to prevent the tearing of the LDT, not because it is needed to store up Jing. As such I can't answer this question any more than I can "How many dogs do I need to bathe to win the lottery?" I hope that helps.
