  1. Mo Pai is what this system is known as, so we aren't going to change our email address, or forum URL. We are not claiming we are some official institution where you come in and get a certificate and a membership card. We merely preserve what Jim and Kosta brought back from John, and nothing more. We are not claiming to be anything more than that.
  2. Yeah because: theguyswhopreservejimsvideosofjohngivinginstructiontohimsothatotherpeoplecanlearnwhatjohnactuallytaught@outlook.com rolls off the tongue so much better.
  3. We preserve what Jim and Kosta brought back from John. We don't stick a label on that, you do.
  4. If it weren't for us all that would be available would be more Shifu Lin, James Van Gelder nonsense. We don't place a label on ourselves, you and your friends do that. We merely preserve what John taught Jim and Kosta, nothing more and nothing less.
  5. Jim and Kosta were legitimate students, and many in our group studied with them in person. In addition to that we retain the videos of John providing Jim with instruction. The ebooks these scammers peddle about "real" mo pai have absolutely no resemblance whatsoever to what John actually taught. We are not claiming to represent the Indonesian Mo Pai school, only to preserve what Jim and Kosta brought back from John and nothing more.
  6. Both Jim and Kosta were formal students of John Baharudin (John Chang). Many in our group studied in person with Jim, others with Kosta.
  7. Yeah you know those ebooks, they are not what was taught. Shifu Lin's material is fake. The instructions attributed to Jim have been altered to remove everything that matters. All the other ebooks by James Van Gelder are disinformation. None of that is Mo Pai.
  8. I've never heard of anyone being injured so long as they can follow instructions exactly, and observe the safety precautions required. Sadly people who can do this aren't so common. The folks that are attracted to Mo Pai would usually make good candidates for "people of walmart".
  9. It isn't Mo Pai that is dangerous, it is people who want to alter the practice and change it because they are "eclectic" and want to absorb multiple teachings and combine them into something new and improved, or people who refuse to follow required safety precautions because they don't believe there is any chance they can get injured. These always ends in catastrophe, and then Mo Pai gets the blame for their health problems.
  10. What starjumper posted is not Mo Pai, that is not what we practice. Here is a short video of John (1 minute, 49 seconds): And a video of his student Jim passing his exam ( 2 minutes and 17 seconds)
  11. https://www.thedaobums.com/topic/45053--/ This thread went 53 pages. https://www.thedaobums.com/topic/49746-continuation/ This one for 14 pages The other ones are hidden with the rest of the material in the "pit", but most of them went over 100 pages each.
  12. More what I was asking was if you felt government agents were suppressing discussion of Mo Pai, as the critics seem almost superhuman in their unrelenting quest to convince everyone what a steaming pile of crap Mo Pai and everyone involved in it are.
  13. @Heartbreak What is your opinion on the Mo Pai threads that span hundreds of pages?
  14. Not one roll of toilet paper to be found anywhere where I live. Insane.
  15. Weather Magick

There is only one Mo Pai. Levels 1 2a and 2b are the same in the USA and Indonesia. These methods are recorded from John on video.

  19. Mo Pai Alternatives?

https://www.gla.ac.uk/myglasgow/library/files/special/exhibns/month/april2009.html One of the reasons I love Mo Pai is that it is stripped bare from all the spiritual trappings. Mo Pai puts things into very simple and unambiguous terms, explanations of what is happening are clear and simple. No symbolism. No mantras or rituals. Just simple, no non-sense explanations and exercises. Things don't have to be complicated and convoluted, sometimes they can be very simple to understand and grasp.
