  1. Quickly detecting a fool is invaluable

I think we speak about the same thing in regards to the no self. I'm just saying i dont think self empowerment has anything to do with self or no self. so therefore i agree that it would have to do with the meaning of self empowerment, which my argument was that there seems to be this stigma of what it is. Though, to the point of no self. I would say that not having a self or I my whole life, it's disallowed me from understanding who i am. So now, i'm just deciding to create the self from a no self perspective. But i feel that's what we're all here to do at the end of the day.
  2. Meditation - Doing vs Non-Doing

I completely agree with what Starjumper said in regards to meditation (or at least beginner meditation) has to do with focusing on the body. Before i got into any energy work or meditation, i had very bad injuries and atrophies, that i wanted to fix so bad with the mind that i was able to move energy through my body. (i didn't know i was moving energy at the time. it was just moving muscles) When i started meditating and doing research i realized, that was what meditation probably was because becuase i realized that i wasn't really thinking but feeling. Here's the catch though, i'm not quite sure it wasn't thinking. I "think" it was just a different type of thinking . Anyways.. Now, when i meditate i feel like the goal of meditation is to constantly realign the body. Look for any flaws that you might feel. Any tensions, misalignment. I like to call it body imperfections. I think it's incredibly important to know what a healthy strong body looks like. (Not what we imagine it as through the ego) But through connecting picturing/imagination of the body and feeling, based on the ability to perform different things such as walking, running, sports, working out, etc. One could find what that is if they obsess with knowing what it is. This is obviously not easy because most people are highly desensitized to their bodies. Most likely because they are too "balanced". They don't cause enough damage to the body. Even after playing a ton of sports, i didn't feel or understand my body. (i was highly deficient in conscious or awareness of my body at the time compared to most people i would say. I know this because i was always aware of it, yet felt i couldn't do anything about it) But I am lucky that i found it through catastrophic injury. I don't find it a surprise that almost everyone I've heard talks about exercise in combination with different practices. I'm not saying this is optimal forever. But i almost feel like this is the precursor or the training ground to understand the body. One needs to break it down. And maybe at a certain age or point in life, one learns to recomposite the body. Though obviously most don't take the time to do. We in this forum are doing exponentially more than most. The point i was trying to bring across is that i think there are shortcuts to finding feeling in the body and possibly to reaching higher states of consciousness, if the idea is that consciousness lives in the body.

Ah ok i see. i feel like a dummy now. Probably wasn't hard to find that. Thank you @Kar3n

Everyone should be doing their own thing, but i dont think doing your own thing necessarily means fitting into any stereotype or archetype. Which seems to be the case. Also, was not necessarily responding to you or anyone, only the idea. I feel like there's fear to do the opposite of what our mind or mind "intuition" tells us, which is why we should' do the opposite. To the point of no self though. I don't think self empowerment has anything to do with self or no self either. It's simply a tool. To not use a tool for the purpose of no self, counter actively becomes a self. Though, i will say there is precaution that should be taken with living with these 'tools'. I have been a victim of them countless times. But which is why i believe in extending what balance means, and not staying only in the zone of balance.
  5. This symbol have any meaning?

@Kar3n You can't suspiciously ask what color it is and then not respond lol. If it's nothing, then i will move on at lightning speed.

Self empowerment is not about peopel doing and taking credit for things on their own. Or that everything that that happens is a result of their own efforts. In fact, self empowerment has nothing to do with relationship to others or lack of for that matter. In fact, i'm not sure why there's a label that says self empowerment is this or that it's ego. If anything the word ego groups a bunch of ideas and ways of being into one thing. so we hear the word "ego", and we run away from it. Mostly due to indoctrination and society. I often see the opposite too. "oh i did everything i did because of those who paved the way". Almost in a way indoctrinated to never give ones self credit for anything they do. Do people really believe those people or anyone for that matter don't believe in self empowerment? Is that idea even possible to not exist? Yes, one can act as if they don't self empower themselves. Like i said can only "ACT" that. Do you really believe that if you reached enlightenment, you're going to say i did it because my family and friends all paved the way or gave me insight? Sure they gave you a thought. Ultimately you had to make the judgment call, you had to look within and determine what is true to you or not. Seems like we're always trying to find reasons why we shouldn't act like someone else. Maybe there are lessons in trying out everything... this is the range of what most people do in life: balance -----------------l--l--l-------------------- This is what few people do: ---l------------------l--------------------l---

  11. Quickly detecting a fool is invaluable

And yet, we're describing what a fool is. Why? no clue So instead of helping a fool who's a hermit or a clown, we say he's a fool, because he doesn't give shit about us. This thread is hilarious. Either the teachings from the past have been lost, or fools have been passing down knowledge for thousands of years. The topic of this thread remains correct. But i will be glad to mental masturbate nonetheless
  12. Quickly detecting a fool is invaluable

So is detecting intention, so is detecting ego, so is detecting purity, so is detecting emotions, so is detecting unconsciousness, so is detecting intuition... the list can go on and on I guess we all have some thing we like to detect that we find invaluable. I wonder if there is a connection in between what we like detecting and who we are hmmmm

  19. The Doomsday Scenario

I just got off the weed recently. So i think i was just being very reactive and anal about everything. Pretty much withdrawals are hitting me. So i apologize for any tantrums i may have thrown.
  20. The Doomsday Scenario

Pilgrim. with full respect i'm a confused and don't understand the point. I read it 4 times and though it makes sense, i'm not sure what to derive from that. Can you explain? All i mean was that I don't believe Christianity is being used to empower people. I think it's used to enslave people. Also, i believe that Christ was real and his teachings were real. Didn't they invent Christianity after Jesus died? And then the religion itself took on many perspectives created by selfish driven man.
