I had a call with a local SKY person, and we will go over more this weekend. I do have a few questions for you. Are there only four steps? Are the four initiations the only ones? Or are there more advanced initiations? I looked on the website Google search sent me to, but some of the events listed were from a few years ago, and a lot of the online fliers were in another language (I think Tamil).

You mention being "conditioned" a few times. What do you mean by that? And why is it bad? A while back there was a thread on a website called Hacker News about a book called "Atomic Habits". There was some back and forth, pro and con. Quite a few commenters said that when they follow "Atomic Habits" and develop good habits, they are more disciplined, get more work done, exercise more, eat better, waste less time, etc, etc. Are those people conditioned? I would argue having better habits and discipline is a form of conditioning, and it makes them better.

I do not think this answers the question: Did you actually look at this person's chakras? Did you meet them in person? And if not, how can you diagnose chakras over the internet?

In all seriousness, how did you look at this person's chakras?

In another topic, the discussion turned to chakras vs dantiens (I started a new topic to not derail that discussion too much) My questions: Are these the same thing? If not, can both exist? For reasons I cannot articulate, I have always had this idea in the back of my mind that we have either chakras or dantiens. If they are not the same, how is this possible? Is the human body like a radio of sorts? Just as a radio can tune into to different stations on different frequencies, can humans tap into different energy systems? Can people develop BOTH chakras and dantiens?

Could you say more about this technique? How/where did you learn it? Do you actually imagine/visualize some sort of visual representation of qi coming out of galaxies and going into your LDT?
-
I am claiming "Wet Dream Debate" as my band name.
-
Is there any taxonomy relating body types to spirit types?
-
How did you refine your LDT?

What sort of conference was this? And did they think of themselves as tree spirits?

What are the mechanics behind chanting?

Would you be willing to list the good mantras? And how do you define "help a lot"? I think you have posted that the Cundi mantra makes you feel terrible while you are doing it, but it clears up karma and helps you in the long term. -
This is not exactly a negative side effect, but lately I have been remembering my dreams a lot more often in the past few months than in my entire life. Granted, I usually have forgotten them an hour later, but I used to rarely remember them. Over the past few months, it has been happening a LOT.

What do you call someone who meditates to funk music? Chakra Khan.

If you do not mind my asking: What country are you in? I thought you were living in India. Also: how did you contact them? And why do they need a thumb print? And why do the time zones need to match up? Will they give you your reading over Zoom or phone? I know very little about Hindu astrology. I know that Deepak Chopra has "Primordial Sound Meditation", in which you use a mantra based on your time and place of birth. And there are websites that will tell you what your mantra is if you provide your birth info. But that could be totally unrelated to naadi astrology.

Welcome to the board. Is he the guy in Ecuador? Did you go to Ecuador to train with him? And why did you pick Zhan Zhuang to practice? What else have you done for the 32 years?

I would like opinions on a local baguazhang instructor

Are there any bagua practitioners on the forum? I would like some opinions on a local baguazhang instructor whose website I recently came across. https://baguakungfu.com/baguazhang/ https://baguakungfu.com/online-training/ -

Thanks for the advice. Recently I started meditating in horse stance. It's pretty shallow, but I am not flexible enough to go too much lower. I have worked up to 28 minutes. One down side is that the muscles on the inside of my thighs are getting bigger. I already had big legs, so honestly it can sometimes make getting into and out of my car a bit uncomfortable. I hope I never need to fly on a plane again. -
Why is the medicine buddha blue? Did he come from hinduism?

Does anyone use any timer or timer app when meditating? Why or why not? I have used a timer app on my phone for a few years. Here is the one I use: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.multiordinal.mhp&hl=en_US&gl=US I know a lot of people love the Insight Timer app, but I do not want to have to log in to the app each time I use it, and I do not want to save logins on my phone. I do not use my phone to manage money or buy things; I only use it as a phone, a camera and a timer. With the winter storms here in TX, the power has gone out a few times. I meditated without the app a few days ago (since I did not want to use up my battery), and honestly I am not sure how long I went. I think it was about 20 minutes, but it could have been as little as 10, and as much as 30.

OT: I came across a YouTube channel where some of the videos are of the host mocking videos pushing these alpha-male warrior boot camps. I think when I do my business I will start grunting and yelling loudly to keep pushing, help me get in touch with my warrior spirit.

I have always been a heavy milk drinker. In college I would sometimes drink a gallon a day when I was working out a lot. A lot of people thought I ate a lot of meat. I have tried these milks based on nuts (almond, I think walnut, maybe another), and to me they taste like the nuts in liquid form. I could never finish a carton. I was able to drink some vanilla-flavored oat milk, but then I read the label and it said there was a lot of sugar, so I went back to dairy. If other people like the other kind of milks, good for them. My brother and sister are both lactose intolerant.
