What is TTP considered, also a medical form of qigong? What are these other 3 "martial qigong" you mention, can you explain more about them?
-
yay I'm happy just bought level 1 DVD it will probably take a month to arrive lmao while it's flying(no pun intended) to my country I guess I have plenty of time to read the whole post. wish me luck

I always heard good stuff about Bruce Frantzis but never practiced any of his methods, but from what I know people often have results or feel something with his practices.

Nice, thanks! Where did you learn this set of five standing exercises? Is it from one of the DVD's?

Which DVD's you bought?

I have this same question from the first quote. So you can't die healing people? I've seen masters who used too much of their energy on healing and ended up dying, heart attack, etc.. So when we use FP Chi to heal we aren't depleting our own energy too? So I'm not sure but from what I'm understanding, the energy used when you try to heal someone (people, animal, insect) comes from heaven, the same source as the energy from the practice? Or we use our own built energy of FP Chi, but what if it runs out and someone does too much healing? Do you know what happens?

So you mix both systems? One medical qigong(ZHINENG) and the other heavenly qigong(FPCK). I think this is the same as me doing Spring Forest Qigong and FPCK. SFQ is also a medical qigong but I'm not sure if it uses heavenly energy, master Chunyi Lin teaches us to bring energy from the universe, but from what I understand, the energy we use in SFQ is not from heaven, it's our own energy, we just use it for helping us clear blockages, so even if it collects energy from the universe, the explanation is a bit different from FPCK, in which the whole energy comes heaven and thus it's considered a heavenly type of qigong. Can you send me the link to this? Okay so from these 3 quotes I can assume FPCK is a complete system by itself, is this affirmation correct? What I've been doing is Zhan Zhuang and then SFQ, so I build more chi and then circulate it through SFQ moving exercises. FPCK seems to work in this way but it's all in one system, so I could just stop SFQ and ZZ to focus exclusively on FPCK. I thought FPCK only circulated the energy through the body with the breath control but it's a more complete system than that. Thanks for this information.

Hello, Terry and everyone! I'm curious about mixing systems with FPCK, how far can I go? Or I can't? Practices like Zhan Zhuang and Spring Forest Qigong, these seem very basic forms and everytime I asked they said it can be mixed safely with ALMOST everything. But I think it's a good idea to ask here. I can do FPCK in the morning and ZZ+SFQ in the afternoon, but let me know if it's possible. Thanks in advance!

Asking for account deletion. Not necessarily need to delete my posts and comments. I don't know how account deletion works but if it also deletes everything I wrote here that's fine too. Thanks in advance.

What is Karma? How does it work? Does it even exist?
Annnon replied to Annnon's topic in General Discussion
Thanks for all the answers This topic is interesting, I will use an example: Imagine a man or woman, this person, even if he or she tries so hard to be in a relationship with someone, they can't make it. It doesn't matter, everytime something bad will happen, be it a misunderstanding or people simply lose interest in that person. What are your thoughts in this scenario? To me, there seems to be something going on which I can't explain, and then here comes the idea of karma, maybe this person was so bad in a past lifetime that now he or she can't get intimate with anyone. Does this makes sense or it's just a dumb way of understanding karma? Another example: Someone can't get a job, or everytime that person gets a job something happen and he or she is fired, or that person can't make money and have the barely minimum to survive. Does this means that this person have something like a "money Karma", maybe he/she robbed a lot in his past lifetime. How can you explain some people have so much "luck" in finding jobs, having money and others struggle with it? How do you explain how some people feel like they were born for such jobs and making money from an early age, while others may take a lifetime to make it? Just a coincidence? Nothing related to something "spiritual" or "karma"? -
where do I learn it? what's the price for those teachings?
-
How does this "karma thing" works? I've seen people saying that it's not something mystical like that, I still don't get it lmao So if I do bad things in this life, I will pay in my next life? But if this doesn't exist, or if it doesn't work the way we think it does, so one can do harm to others and never pay the "justice from the universe" unless he got caught and judged by the law of man? So what's the point? I'll just throw my car into a bus and never face any karmic consequences in this nor in the next life. My "karma" will be being caught by law and going to jail. So karma is nothing mystical as we think? I'm not sure if I made myself clear but maybe you could understand my point. EDIT: So in other words, do we face consequences beyond the law of man or we are just random things doing random things in this world? If I throw my car into a bus and kill xx number of people, will I face any consequences bsesides the "worldly" ones? If so, how can you prove me karma does exist, what did you learn that who is your spiritual teacher, or there's nothing magical to it and karma is just nothing mystical, no "judgement from god" or "judgement from the universe EDIT2: damn I'll make this a new post

I always knew that horse stance burned Jing because of the stress the body goes through. What are your thoughts on this? And what about the stretching part, doest it also builds jing?
-
*When I mention sex, sexual practice, or anything related to that, I'm referring to mastubation only. I know sex between two people works kinda different because of energy exchange and etc... These questions aren't about dual cultivation* =============================================================================================== How does the process of conversion of Jing - Qi - Shen and Shen - Qi - Jing occur in this context? So when we have sex, our Jing transforms into semen and then when we ejaculate we lose Jing ONLY? But what if our Jing is low, can our Qi be converted back to Jing and then turned into sexual fluids and be lost? In other words, during sexual practice, are we depleting not only Jing, but all 3 of them(Jing, Qi, Shen) if we exaggerate? Or what happens is different, from another point of view: We don't lose Chi and Shen, what happens is that when we exhaust our Jing, instead of using Chi and Shen to convert more Jing, we will be using our Pre-Heaven Jing(I think this is the correct name for it). What are your thoughts on this?

Horse Stance And Stretching The Lower Body Builds Jing?
Annnon replied to Annnon's topic in Daoist Discussion
I'm talking about burning when I mention the horse stance, I think it burns jing, but maybe it builds jing, so this is my first question - Does horse stance builds or burns jing? And the second question is about stretching the lower body(legs), does it build jing by stretching? -
What really happens on an energetic level when a man and a woman have sex: I've read that the woman only absorbs the man's chi and that's why a man feel tired after sex. Is that true? What I knew is that what actually happens is an exchange of energy(yin and yang) between both partners, no one would "lose". Unless the man masturbates, which is 100% loss of energy. But talking about sex, what is correct to say, both exchange energy? I've also read other opinions like: If you have sex with a woman only for lust, then you will only lose jing, but if you have sex with someone you love, you will exchange that energy with your partner.

Oh no problem, don't worry, also I'm sorry if I was rude I was just trying to understand your point of view, english is not my native language so maybe I used the wrong words I understand what you're trying to say, I agree with this part "The soul truly turns bright in someone who does not desire sleep, meanwhile a man who no longer relies on sleep to be alive truly starts to live in a way that is immortal." Don't worry about that, you're not insane, we are just sharing what we believe in, and we have very different opinions haha
-
By loss of energy I mean loss of Jing, I used the wrong term there. But don't you agree that masturbation is a total loss? If not, do you think sleeping makes us lose more Jing than masturbation? Why preserving jing should be one of the final steps? I always see it as one of the first steps people talk about. Even when people don't practice qigong there's this general rule in TCM to not waste Jing - "overindulge in sexual activity", because excessive sexual activity drains our jing and in turn affets our health. What I learned was: You can still drain yourself if you engage in TOO MUCH sexual activity. But I always knew that the woman gave her yin to the man and the man gives his yang to the woman, why do you say the opposite? This is a very interesting information, I will look into it. Yes I also heard that it's the same.
