so I'd interject that there is not a real unreal, but there is incomplete or incorrect perception, which btw the way and in a way is also pointed to in Buddhism with the saying (paraphrased) along the lines of samsara being properly understood is nirvana.... thus imo and with that all the speculations about "illusion" can be tossed.

Your appreciation is refreshing and kind of contagious but instead saying or implying that someone can explain that (or the term Self) which is beyond categories per "...In order to do that, he needs to explain first off what we are, what Brahman is..." can only be pointed to with say a map if that is what you mean? thus not nailed down by any power of the mind, including by a fine yogi's mind.

I don't agree with that idea unless in the context of saying that any Tom, Dick, Harry, Sally, Sue or yogi can just use methods, but if so then the problem would be that diabolical corruption could also use such methods and thus corrupt what then would not be true Buddha nature.

it is said that the simple and universal mantra of just AUM will help and unfold what you need; along that line a true guru can also help reveal the same that is veiled within ourselves. (btw I'd say that gathering tons of knowledge without it being balanced with one's state of Being makes for a heavy and problematic load to trip on)

so what some don't get imo is that unconditionally throwing out all the babies with the bathwater is also a form of being or having a spiritually destructive and obedient (dis) belief. btw Spirit will try and use any form as a vehicle to get through our thick skulls, evil will try to do the same with any form to corrupt and destroy... btw I'd say that what is REAL in the vastness of all the upper, middle and lower astral realms or dimension's and or "dream time" worlds does not lend itself well to what is only known and understandable per human intellectual reasoning...thus being able to step off a "hundred foot pole" would at least be problematic!

their is an escape velocity/formula for physical things on the earth to reach orbit, there is also an "escape velocity", so to speak, for us earthbound souls to visit or reach higher realms; I'd say for such to take place (in using the following analogy) one needs to reach out their hand to higher forces and for higher forces to reach in and take that hand for there to be enough energy for that to happen...for true sincerity (for one) can not be denied or ignored. (as some may say or imply about higher forces)

for those that don't mind having their mind blown in an additional ways regarding Christianity look into Mr. G, Mr. O and the 4th way. (which is not very that lovey-dovey, new-agey like or of "traditional" norms if you know what I mean?) Btw as Mr. G. describes it and I understood it to mean (blood and flesh) "communion" is a co-opting of certain Shamanistic methods to help or enable astral connection between teacher and students, which I think would be a mind blower for most "traditional" Christians and for many other religions and peoples. If I remember correctly this info. can be found in the book, "In Search of the Miraculous"

all the more or less standard and also countless other interpretations, commentaries, comparisons, thousands of years of history , heavily co-opted and dubious forms, etc. for Christianity (some of which i would not touch with a ten foot pole) can drive a person nuts in trying figure things out by only using those...so what is soul supposed to do? Same as with most religions use some of its principals that spiritually point to reasonable and heartfelt truths or are wise to you which can be studied and personally verified by various means, thus we can't go by just second hand means or what a well meaning or ill meaning fanatic in sheep's clothing might say. I count myself fortunate in that Master Jesus revealed himself to me as the great GOLDEN being that he is!

to me most of this discussion is a good example of why hard core dualistic and non-dualistic teachings can never really be integrated, "unity in diversity" has certain limits with most beings (via the instrument of thinking mind) although such is not for what is sometimes called the Absolute. So if the Absolute is reached then what is there to argue or "divide"?

True Yogas are like true sciences, thus not really bound by ethnic or caste exclusive religions, granted various yogas can be found to be related to and have ethnic and religious type forms but even those are not the Source of Yogas or spiritual sciences if you will, which are (more or less) beyond human limits thus beyond only human derived ethnical or religious forms or sources.

that's kind of like saying: the real energy is an ethnic-exclusive and/or caste-exclusive religion. anything with a name energy on it which is not that - is fake. which is absurd...
