there are 3d proofs for 3d stuff, but 3d proofs can not go any further than that, speculations, pointers, texts, etc. beyond that are not and never will be hard proofs. Thus further proofs are largely subjective with some folks being able to agree on common ground subjective experiences beyond just the five senses.

what no profound comebacks?

many of us talk a lot about "enlightenment" but the truth (and part of the price to pay ) is that with enlightenment all our private and often painful secrets are revealed, and frankly it takes a brave soul to fully handle that level of revelation of themselves (to the end of it) plus saintly wisdom to see and handle the same regarding others ... thus real saints have accepted the light of day upon their self recognized transgressions or shortcomings... nor do they indulge in casting stones upon those of others others. (of course I'm very far from being any kind of saint but fortunately I have crossed paths with a few)

Could most or many of the "mind" related sayings be another way for the historic Buddha to establish a new special interest group (of monks and a few nuns?) per what he said for certain benefits and for what in effect gave him some power to more or less nix other teachings (which he is recorded doing) that might pull students away from him? Sure sounds like it to me since there is really no difference's in this stuff after a certain point. (although many human beings absolutely insist there is)

Some Buddhists might ask themselves why there are countless Buddhist depictions of and saying about soul beings in the subtle realms? Ime a soul is of a humanoid like light body, not a computer like mind machine of programs. Btw the common depictions of a golden Buddha imo amounts to an evolved golden soul body. (as is known and can be found recounted in all true spiritual paths and their scriptures)

or how about within our own souls for meaning and our mind for storage. (being the mind is like a computer)

no one needs to get all mystical, far out, or do risky shit involving forms or techniques for meditation; getting into a zone of deeper concentration while doing just about anything, including washing the dishes is a level of meditation. (that can proceed from there)

none own or have a "lording over it" of the pure (original) life force or its source beyond names...take them as they are, paths and pointers which should be helpful in providing some degree of handle and dharmic framework to work with for human beings.

If you have not read about the "4th way's fragments" on "law of seven" that is also very revealing and explanatory... for a lot of or for most everything going on. (for ups and downs and for possible progress; also beware that the 4th way at various times and places got caught up in several cults)
