"The Tao gave birth to One...." (chap 42) and the One shall also return, thus there is no divorce

the only illusion that is, is incorrect and or limited perception

can't see the other end with blades, but it could be an electric razor for a giant God being who dropped it after visiting the earth or Cleopatra... (the end that is showing is where giant hair gobs are blown out)

can we add to that with, "Accept, for the sake of argument, that things are not real, unreal, both, or neither, (and then) contemplate where that leaves you"
-
not exactly about what you are asking but if the wise ones live and teach true Dharma which can hopefully be recognized and appreciated for its results in this world (or the next)... then I'd say that their students do not like to see them or that trampled because the same is just and dear to them.

as a side note I was thinking about the energy of emotion being used by logic, thus not all that unlike to me of what Manitou and Apech said. (thus one might say no logic is an island unto itself, although it may reason that it is)

From Lions Roar staff: April 2017 "According to Mahayana Buddhism, any concepts we have about the basic nature of reality are incomplete, inaccurate, and in fact block our direct experience of things as they really are. The Middle Way (Madhyamaka) philosophy pioneered by the Indian Buddhist philosopher Nagarjuna (2nd–3rd century CE) uses reason to negate our mistaken concepts about reality. Take a pair of opposites, such as real and unreal. Madhyamaka logic looks at four possibilities—that things are either real, unreal, both, or neither—& refutes them in turn. So in this case, the four negations are: 1. Not real. 2. Not unreal. 3. Not both real and unreal. 4. Not neither real nor unreal. "You can practice Madhyamaka by studying its logical arguments why any assertions about the nature of reality are self-defeating. You can also use it as a kind of koan practice. Accept, for the sake of argument, that things are not real, unreal, both, or neither. Contemplate where that leaves you. In either case, the Middle Way philosophy cuts through conceptualization and points you directly to the true nature of reality."

well I know that I'm not a qualified teacher, (just fortunate in some ways by the Grace of "God") but I do know what is being pointed to and your presumptuous attack points to what you are identified with...

'mind only" has been well refuted for thousands of years by Self Realized Rishi's, (and so many that came after them) note that the Upanishads point that way. Anyway far better yet is find out for ourselves for no matter how much is read and debated or from whatever texts that will not be enough.

The one truest desire, often hidden or covered by lesser desires, is for freedom/ for putting away of doubt and thus being and knowing one's true nature, that is aligned with and part of with the true nature ...until then we not are not truly satisfied. (and can not be so if lesser desires dominate us)

Well there is that saying about being, "created in the image of"... which could be talked about. Anyway I'd say the human part is also a matrix (among countless others) for what it sounds like you are calling Beingness. (with Beingness, which could also be called the source, of everything else (all souls & all worlds) that are born from it and someday return to it, as pointed to in the T.T.C..

"all things" does not include no-thing... “There is a beginning. There is no beginning of that beginning. There is no beginning of that no beginning of beginning. There is something. There is nothing. There is something before the beginning of something and nothing, and something before that. Suddenly there is something and nothing. But between something and nothing, I still don't really know which is something and which is nothing. Now, I've just said something, but I don't really know whether I've said anything or not.” ― Zhuangzi

yes he did, but I haven't read that book in several decades. Result might be better in meaning than requirement, thus if all factors involved in or with our being are done in spiritual ways the best result will be possible.

he brought up some good info in the video but his brief mention of Gopi Krishna, who recounted some of his experience's with Kundalini in the book displayed in this video was very short, for instance the word "harrowing" was mentioned once before he quickly moved on?? I mention that because a major part of that book goes into the fact that Kundalini can go bad, very bad as Gopi Krishna describes in a lot of detail about what happened to him. (as some others have also had happen, so buyer beware) Btw. I'd say there is only a very, very small percentage of people that are truly qualified to deal with, teach and be responsible concerning this form of yoga, namely a Sat Guru, which is a designation and meaning pointing far beyond that of many yogi's or gurus that have less qualification. (and again there are some who co-opt that designation without being qualified for it)

well it is not all that different in the world where a repeat offender of crime probably gets a more serious punishment than a first time and young offender... thus what one might not get into too much trouble for on a mid level astral plane... if done in an relative heavenly plane is probably going to result in a lot harder karma. (so to speak), why - well partly because the levels of power are different... a possible but not very good analogy could be swimming underwater: if one is only 10 feet down and makes a mistake they can probably get back to the surface and end up ok, but if one is down a hundred feet and makes a mistake it is probably going to have much worse consequences.

I'd say karma does not apply the same for everyone, for instance an old soul who knows better about certain deeds would probably incur instant like and strong karma for a misdeed (on earth) while a young soul doing the same misdeed and not really knowing any better would incur lesser karma. That said I think this idea also applies to what realm one is in if or when a misdeed is committed and how instant karma could kick in! (namely a misdeed in a relative heaven realm probably bringing swift expulsion and whatever else) The higher the realm the purer and more set are the laws that are in effect, (little or no room for mistakes) thus there is a difference with lower realms where things are not so well defined or set that makes the odds or variable's for things to happen greater in comparison. Is it still karma, yes, but not on the same field if more variable's are in play. (note: misdeed defined as an adharmic deed) As for meat consumption that is a big one and maybe discussed in a separate thread...

yes I agree that good karma affords certain individual protection, although It seems there are also limits because of planetary karma, thus many may not be able to be protected on the physical level but more importantly they will be protected on the astral, mental, and soul levels. A possible example being the deaths of a great many Indian and Indonesian peoples from the massive tsunami that hit Sri Lanka and several nearby areas. (about 225, 000!!)

besides seeing there is also (astral) mass and size to karmas, and besides it being on a personal level there also its size and mass on a group level which is drastically weighing down on the earth; one could describe it like a trillion ton Adharmic black mass that will have to be dealt with!! (But "Fear not" for even though the Earth soul is harmed she is not broken before it, for her song of power along with her golden ones and many others shall prevail....)

I'd put it differently in that the spiritual force never sleeps but we as various beings often do when it comes to being an aware vessel for it. (like some purified and evolved souls are if that is what you mean) I'd add that we should also exercise some caution if we only see predetermined or concrete tasks. Granted that steps and preparations are part of the process, but Spirit can suddenly show us that the plans of mice and men can go awry...or conversely reveals things or acts in the "twinkling of an eye". Oh how fast and powerfully the Spirit caught and lifted up one of the thieves crucified next to Jesus without that person having to go through additional lifetimes of preparation and tasks to know freedom. That example can be found in the Bible and in other teachings. (Jesus said in Luke 23:43 (NIV), "Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.")

Granted, that could have been put into better context as in, sounds real uppity, could be a being identified somewhere in and with samsara; but more importantly the historic Buddha said, "may all beings be happy". (which btw sounds like an emotion...)
